I returned it and the cashier was very rude and uncaring stating it was sent that way from the manufacturer. I purchased this through Best Buy not the manufacturer. I ended up purchasing through Amazon.

While regular power is suitable for most household messes, you may find that some debris is more stubborn to pick up and does require MAX power mode. While in MAX power, your unit will receive a boost of power, making suction more powerful. When fully charged, you can expect run time from 7-30 minutes, depending on which suction mose and tools you are using.

Hair line crack

Got to examining the handheld dyson and noticed on bottom of container had a hairline crack. No time to send back and wait on another one. I used to vaccume my big truck, surprised hot good of suction it has. The Dyson is overall better than any other potable vaccume but could be handled differently.

You get maybe 5 if you are lucky and if you set it on low power it won’t suck anything up, period. I would love to give this thing zero stars because it was expensive as heck and isn’t worth a fraction of it. No way you are sweeping out a car with one charge and it won’t run while plugged in which is another terrible thing about it. If you must have a handheld get something with a cord. Bought it as a gift for my wife on mother’s day because that is what she wanted, now we are past the return time frame and stuck with an over priced door stop!

One of my favorite Dyson products

I really enjoy using this product because with the correct tool, I can have excellent suction for each job. With cats the vacuums are in full use and the handheld does quick work. The motorized tool is wonderful and the extra tools of the car and boat model make it worth it to spend a little more. Vacuuming with Dyson is great with the right maintenance. I also love that Dyson has service centers. Other products don't!

The design is great and all but for the amount of time it wastes to charge it, its pretty useless to spend so much money on.

Posted .Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Dyson V7 Car + Boat Handheld cordless vacuums are designed to get 30 minutes of run time in standard mode with no motorized tool attached, 20 minutes with a motorized tool and 6 minutes in MAX mode as advertised.
Most household messes can be tackled in regular power mode, with MAX being reserved for more stubborn messes, or larger debris.
