This blender rocks! Everything I throw at it, it blends it up with no problem. I do a lot of smoothies and I use ice and that’s what killed my last blnder, but this ninja one has NO problems with ice. I also use it to chops up ingredients for soups and the fact that it can hold HOT items is very handy! The only down fall I see is the size of the blender it self and how loud it can get. The self cleaning option is very very useful and cleans the blender really good. Pros: 1500W power! Blends ice with no problem Self cleaning It’s beautiful on the counter Bright screen Cons: Loud when on highest setting Heavy Doesn’t come with small cup Takes up a lot of counter top space

This is a big, powerful blender. It would be at home in a professional kitchen or a forensic lab. It will reduce anything to submicroscopic size if that’s what you want. We’ve had blenders before, but this one out-powers them all. It has dedicated smoothie, puree, dressing, frozen drink, flour/mill, salsa, soup, nut butter, extract and ice cream settings along with a timer that works with the programs or separately. Watching the blender go through a choreographed dance as it follows a programmed script is fun. The cupped rubber feet actually “stick” to our granite counter, so you’re in no danger of the blender walking off as it operates. It’s also loud enough, you won’t forget it’s on. You might want to wait until a hangover has cleared, if your making a morning smoothie. It comes with a useful recipe booklet and a 72 oz. pitcher. This combination of pitcher and substantial motor/base results in a tall presentation. Accessories are available. The Ninja Chef is getting a workout in our kitchen and we like it a lot.

If you're into having nice things in the kitchen, this blender is for you. I've been really impressed with it so far and honestly can think of only one con, which is it's size. It's powered by what I assume must be a twin turbo v6. All jokes aside, it is a pretty good sized appliance (as seen in the photo, comparing it to the ancient relic it's replacing), but that's ok because the performance is commensurate with the size. It has handled everything my wife and I have thrown at it with ease and speed. The different settings are great for creating the textures they're supposed to and can be relied on to make the dish correctly. The self-clean cycle is really handy and easy to use and definitely beats disassembling it to put in the dishwasher. Because it's self cleaning, the blades are built into the big pitcher, and because of that, there's no chance of leaks, which is nice. The pitcher locks very firmly to the base with a satisfying click. Despite it being a touch loud, it doesn't feel any louder than any other blender I've used. It has suction cups to hold it in place and is sturdy when running at full speed. It definitely feels very well made. This should be the last blender I ever need.

I'm a relatively healthy person. I'm into juices and homemade food options when I can spare the time. You can guess, and you'd be right, that I've used a typical blender as well as some of the hot food processors out there. They all have their benefits- your typical blender has decent speed and ok power. The specialty devices can do an ok smoothie or grind your coffee...but they fall short in both capacity and power for blending fibrous veggies and powders. The Ninja Chef is HUGE. 72 ounces of huge. It has a nice black finish and a cool backit display. It means you can blend deep into the night- as long as you notify your neighbors. This thing is LOUD. It's the muscle car of food processing. It's so powerful that you twist the vessel to lock it in and there are suction cups on the base! The upside ? Outstandingly smooth beverages and fine powders, and the ability to make enough for a family day or a few days if you're single. I like it, it's loud. Live with it.

Day two of this bad boy and I have to say it is the bomb dot com! Alright so here's the thing, cleaning up blenders in the past has been the thing that keeps me at bay from taking the tool out to create a smoothie, mixed drink or what have you. This Ninja cleans itself! You drop two drops of soap in, fill it up to the line and hit a button. 30 seconds later it's blended itself into almost complete cleanliness. You pour out the gunk and rinse it out! In the passed making anything with sticky chocolate is enough to make me cringe from cleaning up. Well I have made two meal shakes that contain, dates, cacao powder, protein, banana, almond milk and ice. All of which are sticky but I wouldn't know that because it was cleaned fast. I'm the kind of person on the go, so when tasked with trying to figure out how to make something work for me when it should be simple and a breeze was as easy as snapping on the lid after poring in the ingredients. I was in awe. It does everything except pour the ingredients in there itself. The machine is beautiful and sits pretty next to my Ninja Coffee maker and to top it off the preset modes are a cinch. Best of all if you're still reading... I was surprised to see that there are suction cups as feet for the blender so I was nervous it would vibrate off the counter until I laughingly discovered even the aesthetic of staying in place was thought out. Overall a cool design, a beauty for my counter tops and simple to use which everyone wants. The huge container is going to be a hit at my next family gathering when we make some frozen drinks!

Ninja Chef - Power, Speed, Razor Sharp Blender

As I opened the Ninja Chef Blender, I immediately noticed the heaviness of the base unit and how light the generously-sized, 72 oz. pitcher was. Standing the assembled unit on my countertop it measured approximately 18” tall from top to bottom. The base unit is equipped with four strong suction-cup feet, which are designed to anchor unit into place as you use this appliance. This is a semi-professional blender unit, which would complement any kitchen. What's in the box: * Base unit with powerful 1,500 watt motor. * Lightweight, 72 oz. Pitcher and Lid. * Tamper Tool. * Quick Assembly & Instruction Manual. * Recipe Book with 50 recipes. Setting up the Nija Chef took approximately thirty minutes to include hand washing, drying the Pitcher, Lid Cap, Pitcher Lid, 72 oz. Pitcher, and Tamper, and reading the Quick Assembly Sheet. The four suction-cup feet on the bottom of the base unit is a key feature. Coupled with the weight of the base unit, keeps the Ninja from 'walking', sliding, or tipping over on your countertops, especially during heavy use. The suction-cups adapt and adhere easily to wood, man-made laminates, stone, marble, and tile countertops. After 30 minutes, I was anxious to to try this baby out. I had bananas, strawberrys, and half and half, on-hand, so I made a strawberry banana smoothie. I blended three cups of strawberrys and two cups of cut-up bananas into 2” pieces into the blender. I added one cup of ice, one-half cup of sugar, and set the variable speed dial to the Auto-IQ, preset program, 'Frozen Drink'. As the Nija Chef blended this mixture I noticed it pulled the ingredients from the center, top down and rotated them into the bottom of the pitcher rather quickly. In just one minute, I had two frozen smoothie treats. Yum, Yum! I was 'hooked' after making the simple, quick, and delicious smoothie. The cyclonic action of the blades (pulls down from the center, blends, and returns to the top from the sides), the powerful 1,500 watt motor, 10 Auto-IQ Presets, and 10, variable speed settings on 'Manual' make this a 'Must-Have' and FUN, kitchen appliance for me. Features of the Base Unit: * Six Modes on bottom of base unit – Clean, IQ, Manual, Timer, Pulse, and Auto-IQ Programs. * Timer Display is at top Left in LED white. * The base unit automatically accepts and recognizes the optional 24 oz. Double-Walled, To-Go-Tumbler and the 24 oz. Single Serve Cup. * Stop / Start Button. * In 'Manual' there are 10 variable speed settings. *Auto-IQ Preset Programs – Flour Mill, Frozen Drink, Extract, Smoothie, Soup, Ice Cream, Puree, Dip / Salsa, Dressing, and Nut Butter. * Electrical Cord wraps around base unit neatly for storage. Features of the 72 oz. Pitcher: * Lightweight Pitcher is made from Tritan Plastic, which is BPA-Free and BPS-Free. It is Shatter Proof, Safe around your pool, hot tub, or with young children present. It does NOT shatter into dangerous pieces like the majority of glass-made, blender pitchers when dropped. It is also just as clear as glass and resists stains, dishwasher discoloring, even after hundreds of diswashing cycles. * The Shatterproof Pitcher is graduated into measurements of Liters and Milliliters on one side and the other into Ounces and Cups, which accommodates any and all recipes. * There is a 'Max-Liquid' line on either side of the pitcher, which is at 64 oz. However the pitcher holds at least 72 oz. You can exceed the 64 oz. if you have already shaved the ice and poured the 'other' ingredients in by hand and mixed by hand, and, just use the pitcher to pour your concoction (NO more power blending). * Lid Cap, which twists and locks into place on top of the pitcher lid. You can unscrew this cap and use the included Tamper to aid in blending of large amounts without taking off the pitcher sealed lid. I love using this Nija Chef. It is so simple, and easy to clean, with uncomplicated settings. WooHoo! I have used this Ninja Chef for over two weeks now, and am super-impressed. I have made Smoothies, Asparagus Soup, Broccoli Soup (see attached pics), Spaghetti Sauce, and Chili Bean tomato sauce base. All delicious. The 'fresher' the ingredients using this blender – the better the taste and results, which prompts me to eat MUCH HEALTHIER. Cols weather is on its way so I plan to use this blender lots in making soups, and sauces for tasty and hearty, 'comfort-foods'. Tips and Precautions: * The Ninja Chef Blender is very loud when it runs, especially at higher variable speeds. * When operating in 'Manual' Mode – use the lowest variable speed setting at first – you can adjust this unit 'up or down', accordingly. This is a very powerful blender – don't use too high settings.. * Limited amount of 'attachments' - 24 oz. Double-Walled-To-Go-Tumbler, and 24 oz. Single Serve Cup. There are No other attachments at this time. However, here is hoping that Shark, Ninja Chef makes the Auto-Spiralizer, and Food Processing (chop, mix, and dough making) attachments available at a later date. * This blender unit is approximately 18” tall – it may not fit under your counter / cabinet space if you plan to keep in stored openly. * NOT Microwave compatible. * Unit has a simple, self-cleaning mode. Over the past two weeks I have used this Ninja Chef Blender to make Smoothies, Adult Beverages, Tomato Sauce for Spaghetti, Chili, and Asparagus, Broccoli, and Split Pea Soups. This unit has allowed me to provide much more healthier alternatives to the pre-processed, canned and frozen alternatives. I love the convenience, ease of cleaning, and versatility of this blender / food processor. I highly recommend the purchase of this blender / food processor because it is a 'Must-Have' in any functioning kitchen. This baby would make a great Wedding, Birthday, Anniversary, Christmas, or, Special Occasion gift to that special couple, family member, friend, on your list.

This blender can handle over a half gallon of material with its huge 72oz pitcher. It feels like it is designed for commercial use with the suction cup feet holding it to your counter, the locking pitcher base and snap locks for the lid. It has loads of power, but with great power comes great noise. The Auto-iQ feature is pretty neat as it pulses at various speeds to give the texture of the product selected. I have made several iced beverages using the iQ setting for it and as long as I used the included tamper for the full minute, the drink came out perfect. Without using the tamper, there were large chunks of ice remaining, even after running the program multiple times. Cleanup is a snap, simply adding hot water to the mark on the picture, a couple drops of dish washing liquid and a push of the clean button. I usually ran it a few times, just to be sure, but it has come out clean every time. It has the capability to use the Double-walled to-go tumbler (24 oz.), and supposed to recognize the difference between that and the picture, but it is sold separately and I did not get to try it out. If you have the need to make large quantities of blended products with ease, but don’t mind a bit of excessive noise, then this is certainly a great option.

Does it All! But Make Sure you Have Counter Space

This Ninja Chef blender does it all. In fact, calling it a "blender" doesn't do it justice. First, the 72oz capacity allows you to make enough servings for a family of 4 in just one batch. We are big fans of smoothies and tested the blender out with a mixture of frozen fruit, tofu, a banana, a few veggies, ice, and juice. The results were fantastic. In our old blender, I was always running out of space trying to cram in the last few ingredients. And after doing so, sometimes the contents would not all get sucked to the bottom. That did not occur with this unit. Now, the trade-off for having such great capacity is that you will need a lot of counter space. This thing is LARGE. Of course you can pack it away in a pantry or cabinet when not in use, but it has suction cups on the bottom that hold it in place, making it a hassle to move. The versatility of this blender is amazing. We look forward to trying out it's many features including a self cleaning function, and did I mention it can make ice cream? Can't wait to see how that turns out!

When I was growing up, my parents always tried to make me the perfect milkshake at home. Unfortunately, it always turned out thicker or thinner than the ‘store bought’ shakes. Even though mom and dad made the shakes with ‘real’ ice cream and milk and didn’t serve me processed milkshake mix, I still had it in my head that the shakes from McDonald’s or Arby’s were better. Now that I’m an adult, I’ve still tried to discover the perfect ‘at home’ milkshake. And, what I’ve been realizing over the years is that it’s not necessarily the ingredients that make the shake — it’s the blender. The Ninja Chef high-speed blender is the the answer and the perfect addition to my kitchen. The Ninja Chef blender is part of the SharkNinja family of products. When I got the blender, I didn’t realize that it was a sister product to my Shark Ion Flex cleaning machine, which I love. Even though I had heard great things about the Ninja brand, knowing that I already had experience with the product family instilled even more confidence in me that the blender would not only work well, but that it would also last for a very long time. Set up of the blender is easy. It comes in separate, but already assembled parts. When you open the box, you will find the pitcher, pitcher lid with lid cap, tamper and the base. The Ninja Chef comes packaged with a recipe guide, full instruction manual, and a quick assembly card.. Even though the quick assembly card shows you everything you need to know to get started, it’s still suggested that you read the full manual before getting started. The Ninja Chef has a ‘cleaning’ mode as one of its settings. I think this is brilliant because it gives you a good option to clean the blades without cutting yourself. It is suggested that you clean all the parts in warm, soapy water before your first use. All the attachments are dishwasher safe and you can clean the base with a clean, damp cloth. Assembly is easy. You place the pitcher on the base and lock it in place. Then you add your ingredients into the pitcher. If you have a lot or need to add them gradually, you can remove the lid cap from the lid and lock it into place when you are ready. Once your culinary creation is ready and all your blender parts are locked into place, you can select one of the Auto-IQ programs. This is probably my favorite part of the Ninja Chef. You can always run the Ninja manually, but it has a ‘brain’ telling it the optimal timing for the most-used recipes. For example, the Smoothie setting runs for 50 seconds. It started out with several bursts of power and then runs continuously for a few seconds before finishing with another pulse. The first thing I made with the Ninja Blender was a protein milkshake. I added 8 ounces of milk (measured using the marks on the side of the pitcher), 2 scoops of chocolate protein powder, two scoops of ice cream, and about a cup of ice chips. Then, I set the blender to the Smoothie program. I was able to clean up the ingredients in the time that the blender was running and I didn’t have to worry about it spilling or making a mess of the kitchen because all the parts were locked. The smoothie shake turned out perfectly. With the help of the Ninja Chef, the long-lost homemade milkshake suddenly became attainable. Even though I’ve primarily used a blender for smoothies and other drinks, the Ninja Chef opens up a world of possibilities because I can make things like dips and even cake mixes in this blender. I love the power of the Ninja Chef and can’t wait to see what I can make next.

    Ninja Chef with Auto-IQ

The ninja chef is a 1500 Watt high speed blender that had enough power to liquify any ingredients into restaurant style purees. The blades have a cyclonic action and nothing escapes them and all the ingredients move to the center of the blender. The ninja chef has variable speed control and works perfectly whether you are making a salsa or a smoothie drink. It is auto-iq enabled with 10 preset programs namely ice cream, soup, nut butter, flour, extract, dressing, puree, frozen drink, smoothie and salsa. This really helps to take the guesswork out of the prep and the results are quite as expected. One of the best feature is move from auto to manual mode and you can precisely control the speed form 1 thru 10 to get the perfect texture needed for your dish. We are very pleased with the footprint as well in the kitchen since it takes a lot less space than other blenders. Also we love the auto timer so you can move away from it to do other things. It is a bit loud when crushing ice but that is expected from such a powerful blender. The only downside is that it does not have a spout to pour drinks but isnt a big issue for us. All in all an excellent blender for the chef in the house.

The bleder is fantastic- we had the original ninja for 2 years. Unfortunately it had a lot of small parts that break easily on the lid. The ninja chef addresses this shortcoming with a robust, one-piece lid. The motor is very powerful. My on gripe with the purchase: I bought this as a Christmas gift for my wife, and it showed up NOT in a plain brown box, but in the colorful ninja chef box. My wife said “oh, you bought a blender”- I said “merry Christmas “. So we are using it for our pre-Holliday party drinks.

This blender is great! It doesn't even hesitate where lesser blenders would fail... We have gone through several blenders recently and this doesn't even bog down at all... It is very loud so you won't want to make your morning smoothie while anyone in the house (or neighborhood) is sleeping. It does the job in a fraction of the time and without hesitation.

Ok blender that is lacking in design perfection

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I will start this review by saying that my opinion of this blender is the result of a comparison between this Ninja Chef blender and my other more expensive high performance blender. My other blender is the most popular and functional blender on the market, so this should be considered when reading this review. This Ninja Chef blender kind of slightly raises up and down and teeters left to right when it is blending, it is not enough to cause it to fall over or be a hazard or anything like that. In comparison, my other $450 blender is more stable when blending. The legs on this Ninja Chef blender are small suction cups, which does cause this blender to stay in place fairly well, but solid rubber legs would have made this Ninja Chef blender more stable, as it would have been easier to level any leg that was not touching the countertop. One of the things that can be lacking in design perfection on a blender, is the cutting blade, if the blender blade has too much of a pitch, it can cause too much downward suction, and this is mostly a bad thing because it causes excessive air to be sucked into the blended mixture, and it aerates the blended mixture. When the blended mixture is filled with a massive amount of air bubbles, this causes more than normal upward splattering onto the lid, and when this upward splattering occurs, the lid is the most challenging part of the blender to clean. The lid on this blender is sturdy and it stays securely in place when blending, but the lid seems to have been made with too much plastic, and the lid seems a bit difficult to snap onto the blender. The cutting blade on this Ninja Chef blender is of pretty good quality, and aside from having too much downward suction when blending, it is a fairly nice cutting blade. I am not sure as to how long the cutting blade assembly will last, as I cannot tell if it is made with a bearing that the blade turns on, or if it is turning on a bushing. The bushing type of cutting blade assembly will not last nearly as long as a cutting blade assembly made with bearings. Upon my first use of this Ninja blender, I blended my normal batch of food with the same volume as I always blend in my other blender, and this caused this Ninja blender to overheat and caused an error message which flashed the letters ERR on the screen. When this overheating error happens, it is for some reason necessary to unplug the Ninja Chef blender. The error message does not stop flashing unless unplugged, that seems a bit unnecessary to unplug the blender when this happens, it would have been better if the error message went away automatically after like 10 minutes of cooling down. Overall this blender is ok for its selling price, but it is not nearly as perfect as my other blender, this Ninja Chef blender is more of a hassle to blend with. I will stick with my other high performance blender for daily blending tasks. This Ninja Chef blender does have 1 – 10 speeds, but the speed level 1 seems way too fast for setting 1, the speed setting 1 on this Ninja Chef blender seems more like a medium speed. I would not suggest this blender to anyone who could afford a better blender, as its overall design is not that great in comparison to the better blender I am used to, with that being said, for a person who has never used a better designed and more high performance blender, this Ninja Chef blender is likely sufficient. I would gladly pay more for a blender that is easier to use and clean. I am rating this Ninja Chef blender at 2.5 out of 5 stars.

I would compare this blender favorably with a VitaMix. It’s a powerful blender. I use it to make a protein shake each morning including things like frozen blueberries and frozen banana and ice. I love the IQ settings. I use the one for Smoothies and it’s the perfect amount of time. The only problem is it’s so loud I wouldn’t use it until everyone in the house is awake. But a VitaMix is loud too. It’s more powerful than a regular blender.

This blender is powerful, heavy and noisy. Blends well, but have to question what the noise level is doing to your ears. The safety measure of suction feet can make for an interesting situation if you place it down on a smooth counter, under a kitchen cabinet. The suction is strong and releasing it requires that you pull straight up. Remedy is to put it on a placemat and slide under for storage. Recommendation depends upon these qualifiers.

....with this blender ! Seriously, I didn't know what I had been missing until I decided to buy this blender. I make smoothies every day, and with this blender I just dump all the ingredients in, hit the smoothie button on the IQ selection, and BAM! Everything is blended wonderfully smooth, even ice and kale! The blades pulverize everything I have put in it. I was worried that it had a plastic container, but seriously it is very thick and well made and I no longer have any reservations about that . The self clean feature on it is amazing and quite the game changer as well. It also has suction cups on each leg, and good thing ! This blender rocks and rolls as it works ! Very powerful!! I read many reviews on several different NInja blenders, and after reading so many positive reviews on this model, I decided to go ahead and get it. It didn't disappoint !!
