Unit is compact and was a great price. I have other Cuisinart items which perform very well

For about the 5th use, the grilled vegetables took on a chemical taste. It could have been due to the plastic/ rubber ends at each rod and/or the gray rubber strip around the door. It may have held up to the initial testing because it didn't show up at first. Now it would have failed the taste test. Chicken, pork and hamburger still taste okay with the right seasoning. I don't know why it's not working for the vegetables. There was one or two times the meat was tasting odd. This was an impulse buy around November. I bought this one thinking it was stainless steel on the inside. There wasn't a model available near the display. I just assumed that since there was nothing on the box to warn the consumer about plastic and rubber parts, it didn't have them. I saw one white something in the picture. Understanding dawned after I removed it from the box. I can't return it to the store unless I drive the two or three states at the store I bought it from. Returning it by mailing under warranty is a waiting game I feel suspicious of. By the way, the manual instructions are wrong. If you follow them, you'll waste food, unless you decide to eat the carcinogenic burned offerings. I used 350 for everything. But tonight, I followed the package directions for the battered fish so that I wouldn't make my house hot by using the oven. I didn't think it would be in there long enough to cause trouble. It hadn't finished the cooking time before it had shrunk, burned and stunk up my house with smoke. We don't have an exhaust fan in our kitchen to clear it out and I can't leave the doors open with mosquitoes, frogs, lizards, and indoor pets to be careful with. The other bad thing is that you can't properly clean it. Those once white tabs are grease stained. I had been lining the tray with aluminum foil, but chicken and hamburger grease got underneath it and made a big mess. It drips grease at the left corners onto the countertop. It should be outside but that would likely finish it off. I no longer think Cuisinart is a good company and I don't trust their cheaply made products.

This may be a great toaster/air fryer oven, but I just couldn't get past the incessant ticking sound it made. It said in the description that it was "whisper quiet", but when I turned it on to toast a piece of bread, it reminded me of a ticking time bomb you'd see in silly movies! It ticks loudly as the time ticks down to ready. I couldn't stand it, so I returned it after one use.

Bakes well, but baking sheet was very hard to clean after one use looks bad.

Maybe it was my fault, but the toasters settings are way hotter than the degree's put by the user. I enjoy the air fryer part, but overall had many burnt toasts, until I get the hang of the heat, I'll give this toaster a 3/4 score of 5, just due to the settings part.

Just purchased the Cuisinart Air Fryer Toaster Oven. Very excited about it as it was replacing our old toaster oven. I am not sure if this unit is defective or this is just how it is. We placed the unit on our counter top, not under the cabinet, and the back of the Air Fryer was about a foot from the side of our refrigerator. We Air Fried frozen steak fries at 400 degrees for 20 minutes per the instructions. The steak fries came out good but the extreme heat coming from the back of the Air Fryer heated up the side of the refrigerator (1 foot away) so hot that you could not touch the refrigerator. The sides and top of the air fryer were warm but not hot. Way too much heat coming out of the vent in the back which concerns me as being a fire hazard. Your comments? Thanks

This oven was sadly a disappointment. After burning a number of foods, we checked the temperature with an oven thermometer. A setting of 325 resulted in an actual oven temperature of 450. We returned it.

This is my second toaster unit in less than 2 years. Not sure what the issue is but I use this to warm/toast food on a daily basis and this product just stops working after 8-10 months. Returning and exchanging for a different manufacturer.

Set unit for 400 degrees but it went to over 500 before stopping. Took it back the next day.

Looks stunning and matched my other Cuisinart products, BUT thermostat is very inaccurate and the timer might as well not exist...it is so far off, you are just as well off guessing. Must watch food while cooking!! First time Cuisinart has let me down.

Broke after 1 month. Would not turn on. Cuisinart to send replacement.

To say this oven "cooks" food would be an understatement. If you don't set the temperature and time to about half of what your given food's instructions say, and eyeball it the entire time, it will turn your food a crispy black every single time. Easily the worst countertop oven I've ever had.

Save your money and get something else. When it works, it’s amazing. Problem is, I’ve gone through 2 units in 3 months. Both of them the dials broke, rendering this useless. Can’t believe they would make something so cheap. FAIL

Bought this gif my husband as his main Christmas gift. He’s wanted one and do excite. Took it out of box, plugged it in and nothing works. Won’t turn on, no power And checking BBB they are out of stock so I can’t even get him one that works for Christmas So upset !!!!!!

My girlfriend made the mistake of buying one of these months ago, please don't make the same mistake. I can't wait for it to break so we can replace it with something better, and that shouldn't be too hard to do.

Product was received in horrible condition. Due to that I returned it immediately. The item may be of good quality however I didn't even try it out because of the way it was delivered

Past warranty, looks like brand new, and died out of the blue. Bought 4/2018. So the math!
