Great vacuum. Minor remapping issues
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The vacuum works great for pet hair and does as good of a job as my upright vacuum anywhere in the house. The waste bin is a pretty good size considering the unit. We have had the Neato D7 for 1 week and everything runs smooth for the most part. We do run into an issue where it turns on for scheduled cleaning and it "checks surroundings" and will re-dock without cleaning. An error pops up saying it cannot recognize the floor plan. The help forums have us remove the old floor plan and send the Neato out to remap. We have had to reset the schedule and the floor plan every other day. Not sure if it's user error or the device but seems to be an issue for many people.

Works Great
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the Neato and have had for 1-1/2 years. I bought this one for my daughter for Christmas. We have a lab that sheds so much and every day the bin is so full of hair. The No-Go lines are awesome once you figure out where the vacuum might get stuck or is not able to clear furniture. During the week I have this scheduled and on weekends I will turn on from my phone when we leave the house.

I LOVE IT!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first I was very skeptical as to how well a robot vac could clean. I'm one of those people that checks reviews til I can't see anymore. I finally settled on four botvacs that I wanted to look at. Two were low on my list but I didn't want to not look at them. Our biggest issue was dog fur, lot's of it. I was vacuuming three times a week and had a hard time keeping up. At Best Buy we looked at the Neato D7 and the newest Roomba (the other two were dismissed immediately). The first biggest difference was the brush size, D7 12" vs Roomba 7". The next was the collection bin. Twice as big on the Neato. The biggest by far was the fact that it used laser to map and then clean. It works amazingly well in a pattern that doesn't miss anything. Now I run it every two or three days and only have to vacuum baseboards and places like between the washer and dryer. When the battery is low it finds its way back to the base, charges and then returns to where it left off and finishes. Using the app is very easy. The bot will tell you when it needs to be emptied, when the battery is getting low or if the brush needs to be cleaned. It has a little side brush that stays on the baseboard side and does very well getting right up next to the wall. I would buy the D7 again and highly recommend it. The D7 is a little expensive but can be found on sale.

Might be a Lemon, but Not good.
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the vacuum in July, it connected to my wi-fi and worked beautifully (for about 2 months). The feeling of being at work and knowing that with a push of a button on the app, your vacuum will be running is indescribable. If only it redocked and charged its self correctly every time, because otherwise you will be waiting an hour for it to charge. That is if it doesn't randomly loose its connection to the wifi. This happened so often that I wanted to throw the thing out the window & yes my home wifi was working correctly and I did everything that Neato stated to do. I even tried running it without the wifi, and it repeatedly cleaned the same room until I docked it. Reconnected it to the wifi, and it backing up on the wall and chairs then sending notifications it was stuck, until it completely wouldn't move without alerting me that it was stuck. Apparently, sensors go out in these regularly. Now just 6 months after purchasing, I'm headed back to return. Extremely grateful that I bought it from Best Buy, knowing how amazing their warranties are, but even more appreciative of the extended 4 year warranty. There is no way this piece of junk could make it to 4 years. Save your money, buy a robot that is simple and cheap. (I have an IT degree & this thing has drove me bonkers)

Good Investment - Buy Quality
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had robot vacuums for years. I always stayed away from the higher priced models since I assumed they were all the same and would stop working within a year. Well I haven't had this very long, but I can say it does a great job of vacuuming the house. It goes in an orderly pattern and maps the floor to make sure it gets everywhere. This one also doesn't get stuck like the other ones always did. Typically I like to try out tech and try to justify it to my wife. Not this time. She is trying to convince me to buy another one for the second floor.

Better than I imagined
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It maps your house on its own and then you can pick a location that you want it to clean, It won't replace occasional cleaning but it will make the need to clean less often.

fantastic vacuum!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Neato Botvac D7 had better reviews than iRobot's Roomba, so we thought we'd give it a shot. We found it to have an incredibly easy setup process. With 2 shedding dogs and lots of acreage we were constantly vacuuming. We are extremely impressed with the capability of this little guy. Nice square design, it is able to get into corners. The phone app makes it super easy to setup, run, and manage.

Got OCD? Get this.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unlike the 'flight of the wounded bumblebee' psychotic cleaning path of the other robotic vacuum; the Neato creates a beautiful pattern of symmetrical vacuum lines on your carpet which is a joy to come home to after a long day out of the house. I've had 3 different Neato Botvacs over the last 5 years and one Roomba. First two Neatos were refurbs (I was cheap) then I went w/ a Roomba. The Roomba was a smokin deal but it went back to Costco after 3 weeks. It constantly got stuck in the weirdest of places, "virtual walls" work only in a straight line and require maintenance, you couldn't tell it had run on our carpet. Not just the bizarre pattern, but there was always something it missed. It never looked clean. This D7 came up on sale and happy i pulled teh trigger. Lidar navigation and mapping is a real treat! You always know when it's run. Beautiful, clean lines. The magnetic strip that acts as a barricade is great around round things like pedestal lamps/stools that the Roomba always got high-centered on. Did a way better job than Roomba in every aspect.

It's OK....
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So this is my first robotic vacuum, so don't have any other bot to compare it to. There are some pros and cons, just like everything you buy with technology. Setting it up wasn't too bad - however, I did have to use Google and YouTube for a few functions as I was having a bit more difficulty than I should have. It picks up great in turbo mode. I have tile in my entire house with exception to an area rug and bathroom rugs. I have a dog (Whippet which doesn't have fur) and two cats. They leave more of a mess than the pre-teen in the house. The bot does great with getting up the pet hair and leaving floors clean. I have noticed when not in turbo mode, it kind of does just ok...not great. Still better than nothing though. I have yet to get the thing to work on manual as it doesn't seem to want to stay connected. The connection bit is an issue. It likes to lose connection to the wi-fi on a regular basis for no reason. Everything else in the house is working fine that is connected to the wi-fi - the thing sits next to where the router is located, so that's not an issue. Seems to be just an issue with this bot. Due to current COVID status, can't get Best Buy to look at it or even consider returning for a replacement. Getting the thing on the base - there is no 'connected to base' notice, so when you think it's connected, it may not be. This has happened several times, so when I go to vacuum, I get 20 feet done and it's gotta go dock because battery is low. When it does the whole house without issues, it's great. Trying to run this daily for the last two weeks, I have gotten the whole house benefit only 3 times.

Overall impressed
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To be honest I haven’t taken the time to “Learn” how to use this to its full capacity, however I have been overall pretty happy with it. My one negative is that it doesn’t always cover an entire area. For example it misses a section of my kitchen every single time and I’m not sure how to fix that.it’s easy to clean out and really does pick up as much as my dyson! I do think it is a bit pricy and wonder if I would have gotten a cheaper one if it would have worked just as well.

Two months and it's done well so far.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Neato D7 has been running pretty well since purchase. It's become stuck a couple of times but most often will get the job done. The zone cleaning can be finicky, ensure you pick up your rooms free of obstacles prior to mapping your zones the first time. When cleaning a zone make sure you don't have a lot of new furniture in the zone or it may get lost. If you just push the button on the bit to clean the house (don't use zones) it'll clean without getting lost.

It is working well
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have researched for far too long and this is one of those items I should have bought sooner. What a difference it makes having this item keep up on the vacuuming.

This is my second one. Well Worth It!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Moved and got tired of moving it between floors. Great unit I like it so much more than the iRobot unit I sold. Works in straight lines and gets into corners, along edges and under cabinets better than the iRobot. Would Highly recommend this unit over any other robotic vacuum.

Make life easier!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far this vacuum has performed very well. It has been used on hard surfaces only. Only had one issue when the brush no longer was spinning. It was a simple fix as there was a small fragment of a rock jammed inside the rotating part of the brush. Other than that PERFECT!

Better than expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does a great job of getting up most of the dirt. Moves from hard floor to carpet effortlessly. If it does encounter something that jams the brush, or if it gets stuck, it will stop and send a notification to your smart phone. Does leave a little dirt along side the carpet but you can roll back the carpet and it will get it.

Posted .Hi Bruce, we're delighted you chose to buy the new Botvac D7, if you find the robot is missing some areas during a clean, try relocating the charging base, this lets the robot start from a different point and should solve this problem. Your Neato Team

Does a great job!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does a great job vacuuming. You have to be careful as it will suck up everything, including charge cables, that may be on the floor. So we found it better to have it go to work while we are around. But if you keep your place picked up, it it is great to have it clean while you are out.
