Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.In terms of fans, the more money you spend doesn't necessarily mean you get a better fan, however this product is something you buy mainly for the purifying aspect. This dyson fan is pretty amazing, it looks very sleek. It's got good fan power, its relatively quiet but does get a bit loud on higher settings. Only thing is you can get a fan for around $100 and while it won't look as sleek as the dyson fan does, it will function pretty much the same. So fan wise this $549 fan function wise compares to a good $100 fan. However what you're paying for is the purifier part. The fan purifies the air and you can have it running even in the winter as you can make the fan blow air inwards. It's great for solving allergy problems. A good purifier by itself goes for $200-300. Would I personally recommend this? Yes it's a great product but the price is fairly high. There are cheaper options.

I leave it in auto mode and it does everything else. I used to sneeze and sniffle every morning. My allergies at home at so much better. Dyson rocks!

The problem being that my allergies make this difficult at times, and leaves me congested and scratchy eyes. I figured the air filter would help. I currently have a very clean bedroom and my fans ( including ceiling fan ), are kept clean, but I still suffer. Well, I replaced my fan with the Dyson, and my allergies sleeping went away! Also, I noticed how clean the air is now. Even through I originally never would notice odors, but now when I leave my bedroom, you can really tell how clean the bedroom air is. This is a very expensive fan, but in my case it is worth it to me.

I was having a hard time sleeping through the night because I would wake up with a terrible dry mouth, unable to breathe through my nose. I would dream about drinking glasses of water with nothing quenching my thirst. I was tired and allergy pills, nasal spray, and irrigation were not helping. I decided to try the Dyson and within 2 nights of using it I was making it through the night with a clear nose. It feels like a miracle. An expensive but totally worth it miracle.

The bedroom has French doors, so when open both the bedroom and living room become one big room(about 300 square feet. I was sold on it being two appliances in one and thought a fan that cleaned the air was a smart investment for the price. I was disappointed when I got home and set it to the highest speed of 10. At its highest speed the fan produces a gentle breeze, felt like my window fan on a lower setting. And the breeze it produces doesn’t reach very far. At one point I put it near the base of my bed and I could barely feel it. I will say even though the fan doesn’t feel strong it does circulate the air well. At least according to the app. When I first started it up it said my air quality was very poor with pollen. In about 45 mins it brought it down to good air quality. Bottom line of you want a air purifier this seems to be a great investment, if you want a tower fan to circulate air just got by a tower fan for a fraction of the price. It’s unfortunate Dyson didn’t give this air purifier the strength of their normal tower fan, if they did then it would be the perfect fan

It is not designed to change the temperature of the room like you would get from an AC unit. Rather, this machine is designed to cool a person by moving the air over and around them.

That's mathematically impossible. Real Filters get dirty by entrapping all the dust, dander and floating pollutants and at least monthly a filter should be so dirty, if it is really trapping those pollutants, and it should need to be changed more frequently! Dyson didn't invent a new way for the dust, dander and other floating pollutants to behave differently! Theoretically, if your not changing a visible dirty filter more frequently, then the unit Is not truly cleaning for its purpose why you bought the unit, and it doesn't make the air much healthier and less toxic!

I'm happy to inform you that Dyson Pure Cool Link is our tower purifying fan, which is actually the most powerful model we offer in terms of airflow that is output by the machine. Dyson purifying fans feature a 360 degree HEPA filter which is designed to draw in air from all around the machine. As a result, Dyson Pure Cool Link can be used to purify the air in a room of any size. The bigger the room, the longer the unit will essentially take to purify. The filter included in the machine has been engineered to automatically remove 99.97% of pollutants and allergens as small as 0.3 microns. This will include things like mold, bacteria, odors, pollen, pet dander and potentially harmful ultrafine particles. In regards to your machine not feeling strong, I'm happy to confirm that Dyson Pure Cool Link is engineered to operate with Dyson Air Multiplier technology. It does seem to work really well but the high pitch whistle is very annoying. I called customer service and they tell you to turn it off and pull the filters out. Give it a good blow out and they say it should stop. It did not!

The app would always crash. I had the fan to maximum, it's not as cool to reach my bed. My bed is only 10 feet away. I returned the product and got a $80 dollar fan instead. Now my room is much cooler. I wish Dyson could improve on this product to blow colder air. It did the job on purifying that air though.

There are 10 airflow speeds to choose from, and 350 degrees of oscillation, to help project the purified air around the whole room. 2 fans - both dead wifi !! DONE !

Exchanged for another unit and that one wouldn't even connect to wifi using the app. Poor quality control ! Too expensive of a unit to not work 100%. Done with these fans.

Oscillation feature never worked

The Dyson Pure Cool™ purifying fan is acoustically designed to follow the updated GBT standard that is scheduled to go live in China in 2018. The machine is therefore engineered to be quiet, with streamlined air channels for reduced airflow turbulence. The technology involved is slightly different to our previous fans. Whilst the purifier uses the same Dyson Air Multiplier™ technology, the 360° particulate HEPA filter is unique to this product. The filter fibres are tightly woven to ensure that 99.95% of potentially harmful ultrafine particles are captured. A layer of activated carbon granules also captures gases from the air. This means that the airflow exiting the aperture is slightly reduced from our previous tower fans, as the filter captures and traps particles inside the filter media.
