Works well with the MX Mouse and keyboard so now I can switch multiple devices pretty quickly

I purchased the Logitech USB Unifying Receiver to go with a Logitech MK850 Keyboard & Mouse combo I have. I wanted to use the same keyboard & mouse on two different P.C.’s The set-up was a snap and the Logitech MK850 Keyboard & Mouse combo worked right out of the box, no issues with the USB Unifying Receiver that came with the MK850 keyboard. The keyboard & mouse have corresponding numbers on them to indicate which device is active, so you would think it would be “brain dead dumb” to set-up the second P.C. & USB Unifying Receiver, right? Not quite! Here’s where the only issue I have with this USB Unifying Receiver & the Logitech MK850 Keyboard & Mouse combo comes up. First the software has to be installed on both P.C.’s for the Logitech MK850 before you can set the Keyboard & Mouse combo to the number you want for the second device, no big deal (the keyboard & mouse default to number one) After turning on the second P.C., the mouse worked correctly, but the keyboard was another story. The software instructions tell you to turn off the mouse and then turn it back on to assign it the corresponding number (1,2 or 3) No problem, these are on the mouse & keyboard. That worked fine, the keyboard doesn’t have an on/off switch, so you have to remove one of the batteries! Then put it back in, and then assign it the number you want it to be. The instructions make no mention of this! Once I got everything set-up, I've had no issues! After having & using the Logitech USB Unifying Receiver in conjunction with the Logitech MK850 Performance Full-size Wireless Optical Keyboard and Mouse combo for a month, I have to say I love this set-up. I highly recommend this Logitech USB Unifying Receiver. It works like a champ!

Once you get the software on your computer and teach the dongle the device you want to use, the dongle memorizes it and you can then use it wherever you want without needing software on whatever device you use it with. Very happy with this purchase

Prefect replacement for old unit that died. It was very hard to diagnose since it was a single device that was never moved from the original port it was installed in and has no moving parts, but they do die (old one was good for about 3 years). I did receive the latest model as indicated on the Logitech page, but they make then vey hard too distinguish.

This is a great product if you want to connect many mice or keyboards to your system. But you have yo make sure that you mice or keyboards have a logo on them that enable them to connect to it.

it was not what i expected. on the plus side it connects multiple devices to the computer only using one usb receiver. on the negitive side it turns off the original usb receivers making them useless. i thought that i could still use them in other laptops, i couldn't. i took it back to best buy and the tech guy was able to reverse the process so i could use the original usb receivers that came with the keyboard/mouse combinations. i did have one computer mouse that was missing a receiver and he hooked it up to the universal receiver so i am now able to use that mouse.

I needed an extra USB receiver so I didn't have to keep switching from my lap top to my Smart TV. This was the ticket and it was very easy to install and get working.

wanted this to work with all my devices but unfortunately it was incompatible. however I am looking forward to using it with actually compatible devices. software download needed from the logitech website but after that you just turn on and off your device you're trying to synchronize with it and then viola, no more dongles clogging up your computer.

My grandkids got a hold of the Logitech wireless mouse that went along with my wireless keyboard, which I'd intended to use on my desk with my laptop. Wouldn't you know, they lost the receiver for it and I was thinking money down the drain. Then it occurred to me to look on the Best Buy website, where I found a replacement receiver! Call me happy, as I can now use the equipment I purchased.

Doesn't come with instructions so you have to search online for how to pair with your device (keyboard/mouse). Other than that, basic receiver that has been working great so far. Was using this with a Surface Pro 7. However, I noticed that since using this with my M1 Macbook Pro, there is often a delay with keyboard entry. Not sure if its a compatibility issue with M1 Macbooks.

I lost the original one that my mouse came with and am so happy that this exists so I don't have to buy a completely new mouse . Also love that I can connect my wireless keyboard and not have to use multiple usb ports freeing one for something else. I bought a second one for my work laptop so I don't have to transfer it from one laptop to the other.

It does what its supposed to do. Small size and easy to misplace.

Easy set-up and works great! Now I can use a mouse for my desktop computer and another one for my laptop at the same time. No need to move a receiver from one computer to the other for each mouse.

Once I downloaded the proper software everything worked fine. Good product.

I didn't realized that it didn't work with my old mouse, but when I bought a new one that is compatible, it worked on other devices.

Makes it simple to use our wireless keyboard and mouse on more than one device without having to keep track of only one receiver. Very easy to setup with the Logitech software.

I lost the original one of this for my wireless keyboard, and found one with Bestbuy at a great price and fast delivery

Working from both the office and home, I needed this to make life easier. Now I have 2 office setups and don't have to bring items back and forth to make my offices work. Works great and a great price.

Works great as a replacement for my lost receiver. Easy to setup.

Works great you most download the program for it on the logistec website and you will be adding up to 5 or 6 devices very easy to use
