This mouse has all the necessities for a gaming mouse. I play mostly FPS games so it works well for that. The mouse wheel is super smooth and nice and wide so you have more surface area for your finger. With the Logitech software its super easy to customize the LED's to your liking and macros if you use them. Highly recommended and the price is right.

Very nice color changing gaming mouse, and is a nice add on for an RGB keyboard or a gaming Laptop with RGB keys. This really is a replacement mouse for my desktop Mac mini computer, as our old one was sticky and worn out, and buttons didnt click. So unboxed and plugged this in, and works nicely. And the cord management helps with the Velcro strap. The lower middle button as I have tested, changes the pointer movement speed; 4 levels and I keep it at 3-4. I don’t game much on my computer as I have a PS4 for that anyway, but I do have the old school Quake 4 game. So as I played with the keyboard and mouse combination, I do see it now how this lower middle button works and helps with gaming for turning speed. I haven’t experimented with the two side buttons on the left, but I definitely know they’re able to be assigned. Though I may be using this mouse for normal use, and not much gaming, yet (maybe when I get a faster power Mac in the future), the multi buttons are a great feature. I think the RGB lighting may contribute well to a color changing screen saver; for instance Flurry on the Mac. And Logitech is a brand that never disappoints, as I have used many keyboards and mice and webcams by them. This by far is an excellent quality brand.

The Ultimate Cheap Gaming Mouse Review

If you’re in the market for an entry-level gaming mouse, look no further, this is the mouse for you. Trust me. Whether for you or someone else you can’t go wrong with this mouse. I decided to create a huge review guide for people like me who just absolutely need to see detailed reviews before they pull the trigger on the product. Below is a pros and cons list and below that is a detailed paragraph about this mouse if you’re a reader :-) Pros - RGB Lighting (And not some solid color BS, like 12.8 million colors breathing effects type of stuff) - Depressed Area Left and Right click, helps keep your grip on the mouse (picture for example) - Smooth design and texture great for claw holders - 8000 dpi sensor with ability to change in increments of 50 (7950, etc.) - DPI Button with up to 4 on-the-fly dpi changes (also can be programmed to a key) - 2 custom buttons both on the inside of the mouse (more on that below) Meh (Opinion) - No Braided Cable (they fray) Cons - Worst scroll wheel I have ever seen in my life* (UPDATE: Scroll wheel is actually VERY good for games if you use it to switch weapons/items if because the notches are there to stop you from saying, switching 1 too much, otherwise, the scroll wheel is pretty meh because it just FEELS clunky) - Cable is a tad bit short The G203 Prodigy is hands down the best gaming mouse at this price point. The RGB lighting alone makes this mouse worth it considering the price point because a lot of good quality mice out there comprise the RGB lighting for functionality. Logitech did not compromise on this AT ALL boasting a full 16.8 million colors with color effects such as breathing and fading into other colors, much more than the old bs “RGB mice” that just have 1 solid color with an on and off switch (*cough Steelseries cough*). All you have to do is download the software from the website by searching “G203 Prodigy Software” and you’re good. Moving on, the dips in the mouse on the left and right clicks are amazing. It helps you keep your fingers gripped on the mouse when you click and move it around. After I used this mouse because my old gaming mouse without that feature shorted out, I just couldn’t go back. Must have on any gaming mice IMO, even if you don’t get this one. Additionally this mouse has a pretty smooth design and decent texture for your hands, I’ve had some that have felt better but not bad. The 8000 DPI sensor is also extremely good at this price point, it’s very accurate, and can be adjusted in increments of 50 (I know this sounds stupid but some mice don’t even have this precision, the Steelseries Kana v2 I had before only adjusted in increments of 400 which is absolutely terrible btw, don’t buy that mouse) which is huge. There’s also a DPI button and 2 custom mappable buttons which is pretty standard. This mouse has a rubber cable which I like but some people like braided ones (they look nice but are meh). Every mouse isn’t perfect though but this one comes pretty close. The only big problem with this mouse is the GOD AWFUL scroll wheel* (Update on this above, this depends on the genre of games you are playing) If you use the scroll wheel regularly, this is a HUGE drawback. Scrolling is somewhat clunky and the texture feels very uncomfortable so if you are a person using their scroll wheel every 5 minutes, I would have to tell you this may not be the mouse for you. Luckily I don’t use the scroll wheel that much. Lastly is the cable is a tad short but will be fine for 99% of you as long as you’re by your computer at a reasonable distance. I hope this helps you guys make a great choice on the mouse to get, I would highly recommend you to grab this mouse if you haven’t already. See you on the battlefield!

This mouse, despite being wired, is very light weight at about 80 grams. It is responsive and the shape works great for me. LED is controlled via an Logitech App that is small on a 4k monitor with 150% scaling. The cable is thin, rubber coated and does not interfere with the movement of the mouse.

Still one of the greatest shapes on the market

The original G Pro with its "egg" shape originally debuted in 2016, with the updated G Pro Hero releasing in 2018. To this day it is still one of the best shaped mice on the market, with a great weight, even if more recent mice are focused on weighing less. In fact, I would say that even though mice are getting much lighter, many companies are forgetting about shapes and getting too caught up in the ultralight department. The only mouse that is on the level or higher than this mouse for shape and comfort is currently the Roccat Kone Pure Ultra, another amazing mouse. This mouse is a steal for the price, and if you don't care as much about the HERO sensor the G203 is the exact same mouse for around $30-40. This mouse is the real masterpiece created by Logitech.

I wasn't sure what to expect from a gaming mouse, to be honest. I use it for my WFH setup. Its quickness and ease to adjust it are great. Wired- V -Wireless...many prefer wireless computer devices these days. I get it. But, for me using this on my work computer, I don't want the hassle or cost of changing batteries. It's very accurate. The ability to change It's light color or effect, is impressive. The software for it is easy to use making any personal adjustments, simple. I highly recommend this mouse for whatever compter task you have. Be it gaming, personal, or business.

Best version of the G Pro wired

This is a refresh of the older G Pro wired mouse that came out in 2016. Improvements include Logitech's more efficient HERO sensor, ultra thin and flexible rubber cable, and button tensioning system in left and right button. The new cable in particular makes this a worthwhile upgrade if you're still using the older version. The thick braided cable on the older one always got in the way. While playing games I always felt it dragging on the desk. With the newer thin rubber cable, this mouse effectively feels like a wireless mouse. This cable should be standard on all wired mice from here on out IMHO.

Time is money right. So in my case of being a CAD Professional speed is of essence. I currently use the Logitech - G Pro (hero) to achieve the best efficiency as possible by having the mouse set at 16000 DPI (max). I'm no longer moving my mouse all over the place and takes way less time to reach menu commands and screen area compared to standard mice even if you have modified your "pointer options" to "fast". This mouse is almost a full 2x (16000 DPI max) faster than a CAD mouse (8200 DPI max) on the market. It costs less and is also lighter than a previous Logitech G500 (5000 DPI max) that I had been using.

I went from a very heavy MMO based mouse to the G-Pro both in the same price range, but this mouse is much more precise and good for targeting. The size, weight, and quality of the glide pads are the best I’ve used so far, although I plan to use hyperglides in the future. If you’re in this price range and intend on playing FPS games, web browsing, or general computing it’s definitely worth the purchase.

I had the prodigy, g203 and the the g403 hero, and the my were both pretty great, the sensor on the hero was a great improvement. But the left clicker would not auto fire reliably when shooting in MW, the G pro mouse has helped me to transform my gameplay..Awesome mouse hasn’t had any wear and tear issues like the 403 after 2 months..a great comfortable mouse

I've been playing competitive computer games for about 8 years now, and in that time I have tried a large amount of mice. The sleek design, and less bulky approach has turned this mouse into one that I found myself going back to. With an animal accident, I tried another mouse, but shortly thereafter returned the other, and bought this once more.

This mouse is made with really good quality while still having a compact shape. That shape makes it easy to utilize with a claw grip on the mouse I would easily recommend this to anyone that has that. The wireless one is that same deal but this is way cheaper so unless you need wireless this is the better of the 2.

I have small hands so this mouse is the perfect size for me because it fits perfectly and I can grip it well. My old mouses were too big for my hands so it was hard to play games. It is also really lightweight so it can easily be moved around.

The reason I rated this mouse a 4/5 is purely because of the wire, this mouse has an amazingly comfortable shape, reactive sensor, and great side buttons, but the wire is very stiff and can get in the way of your gaming so I suggest using a mouse bungee .
