The most expensive vacuums get their rolling brush tangled in hair, the Zero M roller doesn't. The rest of the attachments work with carpets, furniture, hardfloors, pet hair and fabrics. I was impressed suction strength is comparable to shop vacs without the weight and size.

Works fine on wood floors and low to medium pile carpets. Zero M feature also works well as none of our Collie's long fur got wrapped around the brush. The air driven Pet tool works good also. And my wife liked the lift-away canister for vacuuming the steps and furniture. But, it failed totally on two high pile area rugs. We've had quite a few uprights and canisters and this is the first that failed in this manner. Even our cheap battery powered Dirt Devil Swerve can handle them. So avoid this model if you have any high pile carpet or area rugs in your house.

My husband purchased this almost a year ago and today it quit on us. I had noticed that it wasn't picking things up like it used to, so my husband looked at it last night. After doing everything that could be done for it, I tried it again today. It still wasn't working correctly. Just a few minutes ago, my husband went to plug it in and it completely died. I'm very disappointed as we paid quite a bit for this vacuum cleaner. We have three kids and cannot afford not to have some type of vacuum cleaner.
