I tried out the Fresh-Vac technology, and everything they said it would do- it appeared to do... Smoothies were brighter in color, there was less separation of ingredients, etc. I tried blending ice for smoothies and it worked great, sliced through and pulverized the ice pretty quickly. Another Pro is the amount of cups and accessories it comes with... and the blender base detects which size bottle/pitcher is on the base as soon as its put on, and changes the options to blend on the screen accordingly.... minus 1 star because one of the individual blender bottles was missing the flip cap that would seal it closed.

There is a manual, but battery powerred, step of vaccuum sealing mix before blending, but it made it better. I have not yet had a true need for the larger blender, but there will be occasions. The only negative may be in initial setup i managed to slice a small cut in my finger, perhaps better design could make that safer.

The screen is digital and comes with 2 jugs. a smaller (2)24fl.oz ones for on the go smoothies with lids and a big (1)72 fl. oz one well. it can crush ice with ease and makes great smoothies as well. The fresh vac technology takes the oxygen out of the food which makes it taste even better.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i tired making my 1st smoothie doing nothing different. i used the same amount of ingredients that i used with my farberware single blender. only to find out this model could not break down 3 ice cubes, it stalled out and shutoff. it would not blend anything until i took out an ice cube.
