The Ninja Foodi is an awesome addition to any kitchen! For me, it will be replacing several appliances which include my steamer, air fryer, crock pot, and stand alone pressure cooker. Having had the opportunity to try a few different dishes, I can say it does very very well in all of the different food dishes I've tested so far! The appliance itself looks professional and is pretty solid in how it was built. The display is clear and buttons are easy to read and understand. It included a recipe book, and had a quick guide that you can use not only for trying out some new recipies tailored to the machine (cooking with pressure, steam and crisping with the air fryer, etc.) but also how to cook common/standard foods like frozen french fries, thawed or frozen meats, etc. Very impressed by that alone as my last air fryer didn't come with clear instructions on how to cook standard foods like frozen fries, meats and more - very nice! In terms of cooking, I'll summarize it by the way it cooks for Pressure, Steam/Slow Cooking and Air Frying. For pressure cooking, it works just like any other pressure cooker you'd use and unlike one you put on your stove it doesn't let a ton of steam out as it cooks leaving you wondering if you've ran out of liquid. Note that the time you set is the cooking time so the preheat time is in addition to the cook time. It does include a rack so you can cook meats above the liquid rather than in it or use it to steam foods as well. It seems to sense where it's at in pressure and maintains it at just the right amount of pressure. As you'd expect, pressure cooked foods come out cooked a lot faster! We were able to cook a frozen turkey breast, and chili in a third the time of conventional times - amazing! For steam, it works just like any other steamer, and we had no issues cooking rice like we have dozens of times in our old rice cooker. We just tried the slow cook function and we love it as it has a timer and you can control the temperature setting and once cooked it'll go to the warm setting. The air fryer works superb and not only works for crisping pressure cooked foods or entrees but cooking as well with the included air fryer basket! We tried it out on all the standard things you'd expect like frozen fries, shrimp and chicken with no issues at all and like how much it holds and is able to cook at once. For cleanup, the included ceramic dish, it's easy and the machine is easy to keep clean too. I am very happy with this machine so far and are amazed at the versatility that it has. I'd definitely recommend it, especially if you're looking for a pressure cooker or air fryer mostly because it can literally replace all of those individual appliances and it's everything I've hoped it'd be in terms of how well it performs.

I've been wanting an air fryer for a while since both me and my wife grew up on a southern diet. I love fried fish and other seafood. Louisiana has some of my favorite restaurants. But I absolutely hate dealing with the oil, and how dirty and smelly your kitchen gets after frying anything in a deep fryer or worse...pan. Getting popped with hot oil and ugh...clean up. For the most part I avoided frying things at home. So when I found out there was a pressure cooker from Ninja that could also air fry I was intrigued. The first thing I did was fry up some catfish. Despite never using an air fryer before it was super easy to use and after washing the basket and pot and a quick look at the instructions I was ready to go. I was a little nervous on how it would come out but after about 20 minutes it came out absolutely delicious. I seriously could not taste any difference at all compared to traditional frying. Now I am super stoked about this machine and can't wait to try more things. I'm not used to pressure cooking so there will be a lot to learn for me but it has already earned a permanent spot on my countertop. Pros - Large pot for pressure cooking and basket for air frying means it's big enough for the family meals. Multiple Uses: Pressure, Slow cooker, Air Fryer, Steamer, Bake, Broil, Roast Digital Timer - will stop cooking once the time is up. Displays minutes and seconds Cleanup is easy - Nonstick ceramic pot and the fryer basket are easy to clean Includes Cookbook printed in color with recipes and temperature and times for common foods that you might prepare. Cons - Large - Need a lot of height to open the lid so make sure you have the space (overhead cabinets?) As of this review, I've only used it a few times and the outcome has always been impressive. There are so many things you can do with it that it's a must have for any home gourmet.

First of all I'm in love with this multi-function pressure cooker/air crisper! On to why... First of all, as you should know by the specs, this unit not only pressure cooks, sautes, slow cooks, and steam but it freaking bakes, broils, and air fries (I hate that term, BTW). This takes the hassle out of moving the dish from the pressure cooker to the oven to finish off if you're looking for a crisp outside - like in baking a chicken. I wish this had come Friday since I did pressure cooked chicken on Sunday. I gave up the crisping part because the bird fell apart! This isn't my first go at multi-function cookers. My first is the "famous brand" 8qt. and I thought that was a game changer for me. The Ninja Foodi done flipped the script and rewrote the game. Since I'm supposed to get these review out as fast as possible I didn't get to try all the functions so as I get to them I'll add more stuff to the comments. Wish there was an edit or update function to BB reviews. My first test is gonna probably be a lotta people's first test with an air crisper - frozen french fries. Not only does this unit cook the fries at a lower heat, but it even cooks them quicker and crispier... but you gotta watch it since you can get too crispy in just a few minutes. The instructions book (yes, a printed book and cookbook, not a PDF) says 360 at 15-22 min for 1lb of fries so I went 16. Just a little too well done for me. There were browned outside and soft insides. I like them just a little less crispy so I'll go for 14 min next time - yes 14 minutes for crispy fries! Do you know how much time that would have save me as a kid. I used to cook fries and pizza for lunch every day during the summer. My little impatient butt could have been chowing down on crispy done fries instead of soggy half cooked potato flesh. Tonight I made Mongolian beef. This was a breeze. Beef came out tender after a 10 minute cook and put that joker on top of rice. Mmmm! One thing I notice is that it got to pressure in about 4min. My 8qt takes about 10 so that a big savings. I can't say if it's because of the volume or the wattage. The 8qt pot is 1200watts and the Foodi is 1400 watts. Maybe it's a little of both. Speaking of comparisons, the 6.5qt Foodi is slightly wider (about .25") than my 8qt pot and it's about 2" shorter. I love the width since it can fit a bird as big as my 8qt and roasts without having to cut them down. i thought I was going to regret going to a smaller pot, but since the volume is from the height I'm not sacrificing much with what I've cooked using pressure cookers so far. I tried using the silicon ring from the 8qt to see if it works with the Foodi and it seems it's a no-go. The foodi is just about 1mm taller than the other one and just won't make a complete seal. I haven't looked yet but I'm hoping extra silicon rings come out soon since these rings pick up the smells of what you cook quickly and should be separated by what type of dish you're preparing - like not reusing fish fried oil for chicken. So the smaller volume and higher wattage allow for faster set up. It also depressurizes faster than the 8qt (I know the volume difference is gonna affect it), but I went from a 3-4 min depressurization to 44 seconds (this is with 1.5cup of liquid). In some cases this may be worse when you actually want to keep that moisture in a bit longer so keep that in mind when doing a quick release. The pot is made of aluminum and coated on the inside with ceramic. I don't think I'll have any problems cleaning this baby, but I'm also gonna have to treat it as a baby. I don't wanna ding it and ruin the ceramic. My old one is stainless steel so I could be as rough as I wanted. I'm just a bit afraid to manhandle this pot. But fast clean up is worth having to baby it. Like I said, so far I'm loving the Ninja Foodi! I can't wait to get some more time with it. Next might be meatloaf. Pressure cook and broil it all without taking it out!

I am a gadget type of person and love all the latest and greatest electronics but kitchen stuff rarely excites me. I don’t think about cooking until I have to but this Ninja Foodi TenderCrisp Presssure Cooker is making me look at it just as much as my new iPhone Xs Max and my top-of-the line gaming computer. Why? Because it is amazingly efficient and although it takes some considerable kitchen counter space, it does save space at the same time because it replaces slow and pressure cookers as well as fryers. I like healthy food and no matter what others might say, it has to taste good. Otherwise, I’m going to add bacon to it. This Ninja Foodi made a very tasty fried chicken without adding oil and it tasted delicious. I tried sweet and regular French fries and they came out perfect. Healthy and yummy fast food made at home. I never thought I could use those words together. Do I sound like an infomercial for Ninja? Although I hate infomercials, I think that I would be one of those participants cheering for this gadget. The difference is that I would not be faking it. I am truly impressed. Do you need more reasons to be excited about? Well, here they are: - Time saver: It cooks fast. It takes minutes for food that would take hours - Roomy. A whole chicken fits nicely. - No guessing or trying again. Perfect performance every single time. Just select the type of food you want to fix. - Good design. I like it and think you will too. - No-oil frying. - Healthy cooking. - Easy-to-use LED control panel. - Easy to clean. - Recipe book included I tried to find something I did not like about it but I could not find any. I ended up spending a whole weekend trying different things. I was smiling every time I finished something. So was my family. Spent my Monday evening doing the same. I even talked to my friends about it. I am not the type of guy who likes talking about cooking with co-workers or anybody for that matter but I ended up talking about it extensively. I thought the worst part would be cleaning it but it turned out to be easier than any conventional pots I use. Oh, yeah. I did find something I did not like about it. You cannot use Alexa or Google Home to control it. It would have been the first ever pressure cooker with that functionality. Still, it is revolutionary as it is. Highly recommended!

If I could give this product 0 stars I would but in order to post a review I have to give at least one. It is very disappointing that a brand like Ninja malfunctions within a year. This is the 3rd Ninja product that I have a problem with. I first purchased the Ninja coffee maker that makes regular coffee and espresso and it lasted a total of 9 months, I thought well things happen maybe I was not lucky with this one. Then I purchased a Ninja blender food processor combo...Why the cup of the processor split in half no one will ever know! I had also purchased this Ninja foodie and one day out of the blue about a year later I get an error message on the digital panel. It won't turn on it won't do absolutely anything just an error code. When you add the total cost of all 3... I purchased 3 items for almost $1000This is the Equivalent of the average mortgage payment of a middle class family. I am sure that someone reading this will make the comment "should have purchased extended warranty on these items" because well that's just how people are... however if you think about it all 3 lasted less than a year are you serious?
