Good for heavier mics.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solid construction and sleek design. Ive paired this with a Shure SM7B, a mic a bit on the heftier side. The arm works well with heavy microphones as it has a tendency to lift itself up. I've recorded without much of an issue, but there's certain positons the arm still struggles to keep, as I said it tends to lift itself up a bit. The setup can be a bit tedious, as it'll lift itself a bunch more without the mic's counterweight. All in all it works for what I need it for. I wouldn't recomend this item for light microphones as it probably wont stay in your desired position.

Solid and Sturdy but...
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have tried multiple microphone stands for my computer setup and this is by far the most sturdy. I love how easy it is to setup and come apart. The only concern is the stand doesn't go very low most likely due to my mic not being very heavy. If you have a lightweight mic you will want to mount the base far from your seat if you want the mic at mouth level or lower. If you keep your mic above your head facing down, then this will be a great addition to your computer setup. I included a picture showing how far I have to mount in order to get mic at mouth level or below.

Mic Arm
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the product I use it all the time. I do wish the weight for it to be held lower was slightly better only reason it gets a 4 star

Build Quality
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will say he doesn't feel cheap, but the fact that you can't bend the arm to your needs really breaks this arm for me. I use the blue yeti mic that this mic arm is specificly made for, but the tension in the arm just ruins it. It's manageable, but for 100$ you could do better.

Great Arm
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a good arm. Only issue is the tension, it refuses to sit in a lower position, but since it’s hanging over my pc I don’t mind. Its being used with a quadcast.

DOES NOT WORK WITH BLUE SNOWBALL.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great quality, but only works for mics that are abnormally heavy. Tension doesn’t allow for mics that would otherwise be compatible, and there is no clear warning of this nor is there a good solution. Too expensive for me to have to attach an exercise weight to the end for it to work properly. Considered getting a refund but I don’t have a Best Buy close enough. Disappointed.

Highly recommend! Quiet, smooth, professional.
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really solid and well worth the extra investment. No springs that make noise or look cheep. You have to adjust the tension to match your mic, but once you do it's a really smooth and professional mic boom arm.

Elegant and sturdy
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the sleek design and solid structure. I recently upgraded my audio setup to a Shure SM7B which isn’t exactly light, and I would never trust a generic Amazon boom arm to hold its weight. For $100, I’ll gladly take another quality product from Blue.

Happy with it
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like it, works great for my situation, could be better tighten levers. It was between this and the elgato lp, I'd probably go with the elgato if could do it over. But this one's works just fine

Mic stand

Good and Reliable Boom Arm
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would have given a 5 star rating but it doesn't fill sturdy enough. Also, Auphonix Pop Filter doesn't fit too well, but it works. I expected more. That aside, it came with all the necessary instructions, pretty easy to install and no issues so far.

Great Decision
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok so, I purchased this for my Blue Yeti Pro, and boy and I glad I did. This mount is awesome. If you are like me and like a cord free environment, this is what you're going to want to have. There is a space on the top of the stand that securely hides the cords, giving you that clean cord free look. It functions well, and lets not fail to mention how cool it looks. Buy it, you'll see what Im talking about.

Just simply amazing
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought three different ones before I found this. I would recommend this to anyone using desk mounted microphone set up. It’s very smooth doesn’t shake in the lower pivot point like all the others. The place to hide the wire on back is also just perfect. This is well worth $100 without a doubt. I use it to mount mics or cameras or cell phone.

If you have a light microphone this arm wont work.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While this arm looks great on camera, there are two major flaws that hold it back from being a good product. First of all, the tension springs are far too tight no matter how much you adjust any of the tension knobs. Secondly, the thumbscrew knobs to adjust the tension are plastic. Unless if you have a heavy microphone, the springs WILL cause the microphone to creep upwards. The main reason for the one-star review is due to the thumb screws and Logitech's own advice, though. Checking forums, Representatives had said to "simply tighten the thumb screws until your microphone stays in place". Doing so WILL break the thumb screws. I had tightened the knobs as much as I could, trying to get the tension to work. But tightening all the way, the friction fit in the middle thumbscrew broke and now the arm straightens out. Upon further inspection, the plastic knob stripped completely. Granted, I did use pliers to get it this tight, but with Logitech representatives telling me to do so, I figured the tension adjuster would bottom out before damaging itself. This problem would probably not happen with heavier mics, but the poor customer service and cheaping out on build quality where it matters is upsetting - especially when paying a premium. Only buy this if your mic is heavy.

Posted .Hello, Very sorry to hear about the problems you had with adjusting the tension with the Compass Microphone Stand. There is a tension adjustment screw that you can also adjust. To adjust tension, take the boom arm off the C-clamp mount and adjust the Phillips-head Screw on the bottom of the boom arm---Left to loosen, right to tighten. From there, you can now use the side adjustment knobs for granular adjustments on the fly. Here's a link to the Compass Quickstart manual PDF: https://s3.amazonaws.com/cd.bluemic.com/pdf/compass/Compass_QuickStart_RevA_EN.pdf. Hope that this helped. Thank you for choosing Blue. - Richard from Blue/Logitech

Tensioners are garbage.
|Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchesed one. Tensioners would not work as they advertised, exchanged it for a second arm, pulled it out of the box tried it and it seemed fine. When i got it home, same problem. This mic stand is pure trash. Thr tensioners (even the screw on the bottom) do. A poor job of actually being tense and holding the mic stand in place, it always returns to a semi 90 degree angle. Expected more for 100. 10/10 would use as a laundry hook. Whst a p.o.j.

Mike boom for musicians
