Lightweight Vacuum
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Vacuum is very good for doing steps, furniture, and hard to reach places; however on thin carpet it sometimes takes multiple passes to pick up product.

Pretty solid unit
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.UNBOXING: There are just a few parts, the motor (handheld vacuum), wand, Zero-M cleaner head, crevice tool, pet/upholstery tool, wall mount, and precision duster. Be careful unboxing and throwing out the packaging as the cardboard has very sharp edges. ASSEMBLY: Easy peasy. Plug wand into cleaner head and plug/attach motor to wand. Untie and wind up cord. Use the attachment caddy/holder to put crevice tool and pet tool on wand. I’m not sure how the precision duster attaches to the assembled unit. The downside to the attached tools is they get in the way and tend to fall off the wand as you’re using the unit. IMPRESSIONS: This unit is as good if not better than my current Shark stick vacuum. The unit picks up very well. It can be a bit top heavy for some users. Also, for shorter individuals, the wand seems a bit long. It would be great if there were a way to shorten the wand or to have an additional shorter option. For my mom who is 5-foot-tall, it was a bit tall and she had quite an angle to keep it at a comfortable position. After testing out the unit, I was looking at how to store the unit and unlike my 2-year-old unit, this Shark has a convenient tab on the cleaner head. It’s shaped like the wall mount, but on the head and you can detach the motor and hang it right above the cleaner head. It allows you to still wind up the power cord. That said, the long power cord is a welcome addition too. Nothing worse that buying a vacuum with a short cord, having to go from outlet to outlet. Overall, I’m happy with the unit. Weight can be an issue for some, but not for me. The extra large collector holds a bit more than my older model. The wand as said needs a way to be adjusted, but I’d still recommend Shark machines over other brands I’ve used or own.

Great mini vac
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lately it seems like there's an abundance of mini vacuums like this which occupy the space between a dust buster and a full upright. Ever since getting a robot vacuum I've been kind of interested in them since while the robot isn't quite thorough enough to eliminate the need for an upright vacuum, it always seems like a huge waste to drag such a huge machine out for detail work and the occasional dog related mess that's more than the robot can handle. The Rocket in particular drew me thanks to the self cleaning brush head which promised to keep hair and fur from jamming the mechanism. After using it for about a week, I've sadly come to the conclusion that it's not quite the compact powerhouse I'd hoped for that will finally let me get rid of my upright. But it's also a lot better than the oversized dust buster I'd worried it could turn out to be. The brush does a decent job of picking dust and fur out of carpets and hardwood floors, and the lightweight design makes it easily the most nimble vacuum I've used when it comes to getting around corners and into hard to reach spots. And while the anti-tangle system isn't perfect, it was a noticeable improvement over both the robot and the upright when it came to tackling the metric ton of cat hair that can materialize overnight. I also was very pleased at how easy it was to dump out the dust cup over the garbage - a process that at first looked like it was going to be much more complicated than it needed to be Unfortunately, its compact size is also its downfall when compared to the upright. When I used it in rooms where the robot can't reach, it managed to pull an impressive amount of dust and dirt and left things looking great. But in the living room, which receives a daily automated cleaning, it barely seemed to pick up anything while the upright (run right after the Rocket) managed to fill about a quarter of its bin with stuff it had coaxed out of the carpet. I'd like to emphasize that the Rocket didn't do a bad job at cleaning - in fact you'd probably be hard pressed to see the difference. But as someone with dust allergies, that last bit of difference is potentially a big deal for me. I'd definitely recommend this thing for college students or anyone who just doesn't have the space for a big vacuum. And it could easily replace a robot to do quick day-day sweeps though heavily trafficked areas. But I don't think we're quite to the point where a unit like this can replace a traditional upright yet.

Great vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall this vacuum is phenomenal. It's small and light weight. So light that my two year old can use it. It's very strong for being such a small vacuum. Works great for bare floors, window sills, and all the small places you can't fit a big vacuum. On another plus side, it comes with a mount, so you can mount it to your wall. The only draw back to the item is the cord. It's a very long cord, and it is not a retractable cord. However I would definitely recommend this vacuum.

very powerful for it's size
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Believe it or not this compact vacuum can clean just as good as most full size units. While it doesn't have the exact suction as some of the higher end uprights, it does a great job. I vacuumed my rug yesterday in one of our high traffic areas of the house, the rug didn't look that bad, so surprisingly there was more dirt in the dust cup, then I would have figured. I immediately ran over the same areas with my full size vacuum, and got hardly any dirt in the canister. This Shark did a great job with it's first run. I also love the "tangle free" roller, no snags or pulls on any of my rugs, and no hairs wrapped around the roller either. Because this unit is so light, it's easy to just whip around the house and keep a fast pace. Plus the roller head has the most versatile pivoting head I have ever seen, and it's the perfect width to run between the legs of all my chairs, so I hardly have to move anything. This compact vacuum even comes with some attachments. I particularly like the tiny wand for cleaning electronics, and pc keyboards, it works very nice, especially with the slide down brush on it, to help loosen particles in between the keys. I also decided to see how easy it would be to remove the floor extension, and vacuum my car with just the handheld unit, and attachments. I would have liked a flexible house to go between the attachments and the vacuum, but I was able to clean the car back to "like new" condition, the rugs looked awesome, and with the tiny wand I was able to remove all the dust around my radio and instrument panels, (this worked awesome). My only complaint about this vacuum is that the roller head seems to make more noise than the vacuuming motor itself. But the unit does come with a power switch that lets you run the vacuum with power to the rollers, or without( for bare floors).

Hits all the marks!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simple Review: This product works perfectly for even the worst of pet situations and could not recommend it more. Extended Review: Opening the box you will see you are given everything you should need except the screws to use the included mount. When it comes to performance all I can say is you get everything you want and need. My situation is I have two very hairy dogs that cover everything. This made it a breeze to easily pick and vacuum up and didnt feel the need to have to go over it several times like I've had to do with the vacuum I had before. My only gripe or small complaint is the small cartridge or bin. Wish it was a little but bigger. All in all its great and for you pet lovers out there it might be the perfect vacuum for you. Hope my review helped.

Decent but would be better cordless
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was hoping with this it will allow me to have a better way to vacuum the car’s, the stairs and other hard to reach area’s. It works ok but the cord really takes away from the convience. The other main con is that it will not stand up without leaning it against the wall or mounting it on the wall with the included wall mount. For the $$ I would recommend spending extra for cordless.

Nice Portable Vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really enjoyed this vacuum as I needed a handheld/full vacuum for smaller rooms in the upstairs and I didn't want to lug my full size vacuum up and down all the time. Not being battery powered might be seen as a downside, but for me it is not. The power of this thing being plugged in is worth the hassle of dealing with a cord. For cleaning rooms, carpet and hard floors, this thing ingests all the dirt and hair. Honestly the power is equal to my full size in a nicer smaller package, the dirt cup is large and the fact it can act as a handheld vac is handy. It was really easy to do my stairs for once. I also enjoyed there engineering, if you don't want to wall mount, it breaks down so it can rest without the top heavy vacuum falling over. Very well designed. The few times I've used it to clean I've been impressed and very happy. If you need a vacuum for cleaning, don't let this form factor put you off, its perfect to do a whole house and bit easier then say a full size vacuum without giving up the power.

Love love love
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a vacuum that could handle A LOT of pet hair (i have 2 dogs 3 cats) I also wanted one that could go from carpet & hard wood floors without a big fuss! Ive had a Dyson before worked great but too pricey right now. Looking at reviews shark vacuums have a good reputation. I am so happy i purchased this vacuum! It has GREAT suction. Switching to the handheld to get in between places was so easy. Might be a little to heavy for an older person as it is a bit top heavy. That is the only negative in my opinion. Im extremely happy that i purchased the vacuum. I got a great price and it was delivered the next day (a Sunday) for free!

Unexpected feature
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is our second shark stick vacuum. Our other is cordless. This one definitely has more power. We like that. The cord is plenty long so you can reach across any room. It has great suction. I feel like it picks up dirt and hair on the first pass. One feature I do not like is it won’t stand up on its own. So when you stop for a moment and want to unplug or move something you either have to keep holding the vacuum or lay it down completely. It is top heavy and won’t stand on its own. But the unexpected feature was with this one when you detach the top it has a resting place at the bottom of the vacuum. Our cordless one did not have this feature so you had to keep the main unit separate from the stick portion. Now you can clip the main unit to the bottom of the stick and stand it in the corner or wherever you choose to store it when not using it.

Great little vacuum!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this as a secondary vacuum to my upright vacuum. It is great for cleaning high places and getting pet hair off furniture. It is also a great car vacuum. Highly recommend.

Some thing you should know
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a good vacuum for the money. BUT the little hook to hold it up in your closet must be ordered from Shark and with tax and shipping it is $21.34. It should have been in the box as par of the purchase. RIP-OFF

Super Disappointing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought this would be excellent for my stairs and the car but was sadly disappointed by the suction. This vacuum even on the "high" power is very very poor on suction. You have to be right on top of the dirt with the crevice tool attached directly to the unit for it to pick up anything. Stick with a really good upright, it cleans much better. Probably going to return this. I also don't like bagless, such a mess and I hate washing all the filters out. Rather have a bag that traps everything and is easy to dispose of with no mess.
