Works REALLY WELL ! Even though on a survey it’s listed smack dab in the middle on scale of 1 - 10, it cleans like a BEAST! Light-weight. Auto wash forward - rinse/vacuum dry backing up; bristles did great too. Made an old carpet look new! The DRY button on the top seems to help dry the carpet faster than other units. It is super easy to put together, fill up, we chose the no mix solution, the 2 sections ( 1 clean water 1 dirty water) was easy to take apart to clean, The bristles were even easy to clean. Highly recommend! Best $$ we’ve paid for such a unit! I’d even recommend this to an enemy, if I had any!!!

I love this carpet cleaner (but I do hate cleaning carpets)! I bought this Hoover SmartWash+ since I have a 10 month-old baby that's beginning to crawl. The wife wanted to me to vacuum the high traffic carpet in our family room and I knew that was not going to cut it so I made this purchase. It is pretty simple to use this carpet cleaner. If you can vacuum your carpet then you can use this cleaner. I like the push-to-spray and pull-to-dry feature. No buttons to have to push to dispense water and cleaner. It truly is a smart carpet cleaner. It does as good of a job at cleaning the carpet as any carpet cleaning service and saves money in the long run. I can also clean my carpets when I'm ready to without scheduling issues. I actually got the carpet clean in an area that a professional cleaning service could not clean. The amount of dirt that was picked up shocked me (see photo). This machine is good! Pros: - The design is simple and just about like vacuuming a carpet. - Great value. It will pay for itself after cleaning a few of rooms in your home. - Due to the pull-to-dry feature the area you clean will be dry in about 45 min to an hour. No more 3 hour drying periods to walk through your home. - If you read the instructions it is pretty easy to disassemble and clean the cleaner. - The attachments make it easy to clean more than just the carpet. Cons: - The instruction manual doesn't mention it but the Water Tank and Solution Tank probably need to dry fully before putting away the cleaner to avoid mold build-up in either. I had to sit the two near a sunny window to promote evaporation of the water from the top openings. It would be nice if Hoover made it easier to dry these out for quicker storage. - You can only clean one room of about 17' x 17' on one full tank of water. (though I believe the cleaner would be difficult to use if the tank had a larger capacity.

I have been using this vacuum cleaner for several months and the results have left me satisfied since I come from another brand which I used to wash but the folder does not finish, however in this case I like it because it washes and dries as I wash the carpet I hope this product It hurts a lot since it's been two months and it's still working without problems

I bought this after my old Hoover blew a belt and this had the best reviews of what was available in store and even online. I used it for the first time in my sons toy room as one of the dogs got into moldy raspberries (from the trash) and smeared them in the toy room (red streak in photo). We’ve lived in the house a month and it’s a highly used room other than our bedrooms. Even after the first swipe of using this it was pretty dry. The smart feature of just pushing it and the solution water mixture coming out is pretty awesome too. After I finished the entire room I used the dry only feature and it was pretty much dry after using it. I am definitely impressed and love this!

This has got to be the best cleaner I have ever used, and easy to use. The automatic wash and dry buttons are great. I did a entire 1200ft home on wood floors and carpet and did the white glove test nothing left in carpets or floors. This was done in a few hours not all day!!! I have limitations on my neck and not once did I hurt. The water is spread out evenly and does not saturate in the carpet. Pressing the button to have a dry clean shows exactly all the water necessary to pull out of floor. Normally we would wait to walk on it, but not with this on wooden floors it’s drying in front of your sweeps. Love love love - better than those commercials you rent- and it’s in your closet in case of a unexpected stain or spill.

I've never deep cleaned my carpets, i had some bad stains by my front door that i covered with a rug, this magical machine removed them in no time! My carpet literally looks brand new! I highly recommend investing in this cleaner, it's worth it!

I can’t believe how good this shampooer is. It’s lightweight and so easy to clean. It is perfect to tidy up and even better to use if you have pets!

I’ve only had this machine for one day and I am already super impressed. Very easy to set up and use.....and boy..does it clean. I have trouble spots in front of a sofa and the door leading in from the garage. They come clean with professional cleaning, but after a few months, begin to get dirty again. I decided to give this machine a try and it matched, if not exceeded the job done by the professionals. I attached before and after pics below. Whoever said there is no cord storage must not have seen the diagram showing the storage area on the lower half of the machine, not on the handle. I’m not sure what that little hook on the handle is for. I attached a pic of the cord storage. I can’t say enough good about this machine and just hope it continues to perform as it did out of the box.

Very nice cleaner. We have used it for the carpet tile floor and furniture. It has performed well on every occasion. Easy to carry to other floors of the house as it is very lite weight. Cleaning the unit after use is much easier than the older model we had. The brush unit comes out and is easily cleaned. Does a great job!

I purchased this after my oreck cleaner quit working. The hoover is way easier to use and does a better job on cleaning the carpet than my oreck. The Hoover is easy to disassemble to clean the inside of the carpet cleaner after use. I uploaded 2 pics of before I cleaned the carpet and after

I got this on sale and it surpassed my expectations. It is highly automated and lightweight making it easy to use. I also like that you can rinse the carpet after by removing the cleaning solution cartridge. That way, you do not have a lot of residue on the carpet to attract more dirt and keeps pets safe! I got an estimate for $150 for 3 rooms and it was extra if they moved furniture. I got the machine for not much more than that and cleaned the whole house!

Best carpet cleaner ever and so easy to use!! It literally took out many years of stains that I couldn’t remove myself. I have 3 dogs too! Definitely recommend this carpet cleaner!!

I wanted a good carpet cleaner that was easy to use and clean and did a great job and that’s what I got. I couldn’t ask for a better machine. Happy with the quality and ease of use.

This is probably the best carpet cleaner I’ve owned and I had one of the “professional” ones before. Pulls up all the dog and cat hair from my carpets. I was actually really grossed out with how much came up. Definitely worth the money ! I’ve actually had 3 family members buy this after seeing how well it worked!

This is a great machine. The only flaw is the cord isn’t retractable. The upper part of the handle where the cord is supposed to go is a joke you could not wrap 2 rubber bands around it. So I tie the cord around the handle the secure it with a string, other then that the item is fine

It keeps my carpet clean and beautiful the drive time is wonderful

Hoover Smart wash is poorly constructed; belt broke after 5 uses. Apparently they do not sell replacement belts, but offer a 30% discount on another machine. Really? Like I would do this again? It works well, until it doesn't Poor quality, disposable equipment. I am very disappointed in this purchase. Save yourself a headache.

Wasn't impressed by this "top of the line" model. it barely used nor pulled any water from the carpets. It clogged up quickly, each room I had to go back and pick up carpet fibers and take apart the vacuum and clean it out as very little went into the waste bin. It fine for a posh house with very little dirt in their white carpets, however for anyone else I wouldn't recommend it at all.

I purchased thos in april 2021. Used it once snd then in july i got a puppy so ive used it more but still only 15 times ir so and the front roller brush just locked up on it. Then when i removed the nozzle to clean it the handle cane off of it and the pins fell out and niw i cant fet it back together. Called hoover on fri and was suppossed yo be called back well this is wed and im still waiting for call. It sucks wish id bought sonething else now
