I've waited months to write this review, and the anxiety and guilt I felt when I first purchased the Dyson Airwrap is long gone. Before taking the plunge, I had been using a cheapish hair-dryer-barrel-brush tool that gave me mediocre results, until a very scary day when it didn't sound like itself and started smoking while I was styling my damp hair. That burnt smell gave me nightmares, which then led me to consider upgrading to this Dyson. And after a bunch of "just do it don't you dare do it" conversations in my head, I rationalized that I could return it if I wasn't impressed (like no big deal, relax). For the record, I have an awesome hair stylist that will do great things to my hair, but I lack the time and patience to even attempt to try and get my hair styled in the ways he does after my cut/color, and we grew to understand and accept that about me for years. But with the Dyson Airwrap, I'm very close to making my hair look like I've had a salon day every time I use it, and that's because it's seriously quick and easy, and I actually enjoy our short time together. Frequently I use the soft/flex brush attachment and simply run it through my dry hair right before I leave the house or minutes before I have to be on video conference for work. And when I'm being especially fancy (like for my brother's wedding), I use the other attachments to build some body and/or waves (I have some volumizing foam for those special occasions). For reference, I've been maintaining variations of a bob all year, with the longest section being the front sides just barely grazing my shoulders. My hair is fine, but I have a lot of it, and that "effortless" look was never easy for me to achieve until now. I don't use the bigger barrel because the smaller one works best with my length and the styles I'm going for. The rounded volumizing brush wasn't my favorite attachment, but I've barely given it a chance because I'm thrilled with the results I'm already getting with the others. So if that scary day had never happened, I would've continued making eyerolls over anyone telling me this thing is worth the price tag. The coily hair kit pays off with having the diffuser included. The only draw back is the barrel for the air wrap is smaller and harder to style longer hair. Overall the Dyson saves so much time when drying and styling! And the round brush is larger in this kit. It’s an investment for long term ease!

I wanted a a dyson for a long time, like any other girl who is online and watches reviews and knows what are the new trendy miracle products. And honestly, i am not saying it is bad. It is not bad. But depending on your type on hair you could be bummed you spent that much money on something that does not work for your hair. I have curly hair, and when i do my hair with the dyson it really does not last long. I have other tools that get me good blow outs and curls for way cheaper and that last long for half the price. The dyson is good for the health of your hair because it is less damaging but it is not something that will get you miracle perfect hair like some people think
