The greatest cooker I could have in my kitchen!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first, as I've heard from other people I was skeptical to get a multicooker. Now that I have it I love it! I have a lot of recipes that I love but never make because of the time they take. Not only does this cooker cook so much faster, there's no more mess, stirring, wathcing or any of the other things that involve cooking on the stove. I can throw everything in the pot, set it and poof! I can also sautee right in the pot first or brown meats first too! I've been cooking so much more since I've gotten it.

Great crock pot, horrible shipping process!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been wanting one of these for awhile now, finally caught this one on sale at half off and just had to jump on it. I've used it a couple times now and so far so good, very much looking forward to getting some new recipes and cooking some more dishes, particularly having it cook during the day while I'm at work and coming home to a fresh meal. This thing is big but not so big where you'll have trouble finding space for it, seems fairly easy to use thus far, but may have to play with the settings to get things dialed in. For now this is as good as I thought it would be, technically it deserves 5 stars, but the way it was shipped just ticked me off once it arrived. The box it was shipped in was way too big, plenty of room for it to bounce around in with only one piece of bubble wrap taped to one side of the crock pot's original packaging which was laughable, then the tap on the outside was so poorly done that you could not only look in the box but easily reach into it as well. I was happy they did use a box to ship it in as opposed to just slapping postage on the outside of the original packaging as sometimes best buy will do but this was just so ridiculous that I just had to say something about it.

My Crock Pot Express
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my ip. I was looking for a insist pot and I started looking here at Best Buy. I didn’t know what I was looking for so I went by Reviews . This one had the best reviews. I got crock pot express 8qt pot. It has all the buttons you need. I have made strawberry jam, Blue berry jam,Mac and cheese, pork chops and mashed potatoes. Also made yogurt . All easy.two things you need to know. It comes with a nonstick pot and a metal Trivet. You can’t use that in that pot so I called the company NONSERVICE DEPARTMENT. To get another trivet made of silicone they don’t have one. Also the frist time I used that trivet it chipped paint in my food. I look all over for a pot to fit my ip and could not find one Then I went on INSTATA Pot and found there 8 qt Stainless steel pot. Bought it now I have 2 pots witch is a good thing. If you get this pot watch a lot of YouTube. You will learn a lot.

Excellent for quick meals!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this pressure cooker so far! I've made beef stew a few times, and pulled chicken twice. The pulled chicken was made quick and easy for the Super Bowl. I made sliders with it and it only took less than 20 minutes (not counting afterwards - shredding the chicken breasts).

Wow!! Chicken Noodle Soup!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just love making chicken noodle soup in this pressure cooker! I can make such high quality soup in less than an hour. Prep and all. It only takes a few minutes to cook my chicken. A few minutes to heat my broth and veggies. Then I throw in my noodles and let it sit on warm for about 10 minutes. You can add the noodles to the broth, veggies and chicken but I dont like my noodles too soft... but I want my veggies to melt in my mouth. I wish I would gave purchased on of these years ago. You can do everything and the 8qt is pretty dang big.

Works great
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great, no issues. Have made whole chicken, pot roast, and chili. Cooks red beans in 20 minutes, no soaking. My chili Recipe is normally an all day slow cooker affair. Start to finish in this is 1 hour (20 min beans + 40 min with meat added. I was wary because of a few negative reviews, but read the instructions people jeez. Easy to clean! Beef Bourguignon is on my list to cook in it.

Number 1 tool in the kitchen!!!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It seems like every week I learn something new I can do with this, for example you can make yogurt!!! Who would have thought??? You can slow cook, or pressure cook; you can cook things as simple as rice or make a hearty stew. Btw, rice in this thing is WAY better than making it on a stovetop! Oh, almost forgot to mention how fast it is and that you can cook from frozen. I have ziplock bags of uncooked meals I throw in, add water, and come back 20 minutes later to a dinner I spent almost no time on. (Except the Sunday meal-prep time) There are also a lot of third party accessories you can buy for this, like an egg basket (I have yet to try “hard boiling” eggs in there) and a sticking kit so you can cook rice, a vegetable, and a cut of meat all at once. (I’m too lazy for that, I just throw it all in the pot at once) TL;DR: This thing is awesome, especially if your a busy single professional.

Performs as expected thus far
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've only just started experimenting with this device but it seems to live up to its advertised claims. Set-up was simple and clearly annotated. Pre-use cleaning was also straight-forward. I made Kalua Pork last weekend and it turned out well in about 1/4 the time it takes in the Slow-cooker. I'm glad I opted for the larger model as a 10 lb. pork shoulder would have been a tight squeeze in the 6 qt. size. My next experiment will be Chili or Black Bean Soup using the slow-cooking settings. I purchased this unit because it has settings for both traditional slow-cooking and pressure assisted cooking. It takes some getting used to, I suspect, especially the additional time you have to allow for pre-heating and cool-down for pressure cooking. I remember my grandmother had a stove-top Pressure Cooker but I can't recall anything she made in it so I will be starting fresh exploring all the many recipes which can be found online. All in all, I think this was a good investment for a Deal Of The Day.

I love it
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I looked at this item for a long time before I finally decided to buy it. What I don't need is another device in my house, but I use my crockpot almost every weekend and loved the idea that I could cook stuff so much quicker with the instant pot. I unpacked it and read over the instructions for testing it out to make sure everything worked. After the test, I decided to try my first dish. I had a frozen salmon fillet and this was one of the selling points, that you can cook frozen food and it will be just fine. My problem is that I always forget to take food out of the freezer to thaw. I grabbed a frozen filet and per the directions that I found online I added water and lemon juice to the pot and sprayed the steamer rack with non stick spray. I put the filet on the rack and cooked it for 4 minutes. I didn't use any seasonings. The salmon was perfect and so yummy! I couldn't believe it. Over the weekend I made chili and mac and cheese. The chili only took 14 minutes after browning the meat and the mac and cheese took 4 minutes. I love this so much. I can't wait to cook more items using the different functions.

Great and simple, but mine has a problem.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This multi-cooker is good for its value, but it does have its problems. My product issue might be rare, as other video based reviews have not shown issue with the pressure bob/valve. My pressure bobber has an issue with sometimes getting stuck during pressure cooker heating. I have to use the end of scissors to “assist” in helping the bobber rise while steam/pressure builds up. I have tried washing it and taking out the seal and resetting it but it still happens. It’s not a major problem but does require me to be present during heating. That is the only complaint I have, but it’s definitely worth the value. It’s very simple to use and easy to clean.

Excellent build quality, food output, and cleanup!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this Instant cooker to replace an aging, broken slow cooker in our home and begin exploring the options afforded to us by the emerging trend of recipies for pressure cookers. We chose this model due to the 8-quart size, and wanted a brand we knew that produced good products with long-lasting reputations. My wife and I are very impressed with the Express Crock! Cooking times are amazing, the food is excellent, and the cleanup is the best we’ve ever had from a slow/pressure cooker-type device. It even has a removable seal ring on the lid so that it can be cleaned regularly (it gets a good deal of steam/moisture exposure, so sanitizing it is a good idea on all these kind of cookers. The ring being removable makes this a breeze as part of regular cleaning and maintenance. It has replaced our slow cooker, our rice cooker, and introduced us to pressure cooker opportunities that sometimes even replace our conventional oven! We love the output and love what the Crock-Pot people have done with this.

Love It!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought my Crock-Pot after Christmas and I can't stop using it. I've made chili, which was amazing. I cooked a beef roast in which fell apart after 1 hour, and I also made my black eyed peas for New Years that were very tender after cooling them for 15 minutes. If you follow the instructions you can't go wrong!

I love it!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Many functions, such versatility. The documentation is a bit vague on how long to cook things, so I google a lot. The good news is there are a bazillion people out there with instapot type cookers and they all have advice. It is important to realize that these kind of cookers don't always speed up the _overall_ cooking time, because it takes some time for the pressure to build and then to dissipate, but once its started you don't have to mess with it. It really shines with things that have a looong cooking time, like beans or roasts. You can do a roast or cook dry beans in about an hour or two. It's awesome! My wife calls it my Magic Pot :)
