Heating not sufficient for a small room

Its a small room not bigger than a 100-150 sq ft and heating is still not sufficient.

Depending on the size of the room, the number of windows and doors, and other environmental factors, you might find that it does take some time to heat a larger space. With regard to air purification, the Pure Hot + Cool purifier fan will clean the air in any size room. The bigger the room, the longer the machine will take to purify it as there is more air in the room. In a room of 139ft², the tower purifier fan will purify the room in 27 minutes. In a smaller room, it will take less time to purify the air; in a bigger room, it will take longer to purify the air.

Dyson Pure Hot + Cool units will also offer the option to divert air through the rear annular at a 45˚ angle, creating a more diffused airflow. Good purifier - Expensive price

I suffer from allergies and asthma, so come winter time with the dry heat, needless to say I become a mess at night trying to sleep and breathe. I have always liked the look of these Dyson air towers, and when an opportunity arouse to sample this product for free in exchange for an honest review, I figured why not. Fresh out the box it was an easy setup. You only need to open up the filter chamber and install 2 filters and close it back up. Plug it in and your good to go. It is recommended to download the dyson link app in order to properly setup and maintain the tower. Apparently there were many complaints on the app page that the app was compatible with only either 2G, or 5G wireless routers ( can't remember which!), BUT the issue was fixed with newer towers (including this room) where it is compatible with BOTH, so you will not have any problems. I did not have any and connected instantly after entering my wifi password. The tower itself is a good "smart" tower. You can use the app so set timers or set on/off schedules during the week and which days specifically. You can also get weekly/monthly reports on the air quality in the room. You can choose the oscillating speed from 90,180, to a full 360. The tower itself has the ability to heat or cool a room. Please note this is NOT an air conditioning unit. The "cooling" feature is simply a decently powered fan. It does not compare to an AC unit. The Heat feature tho is pretty good. i would not say it should replace any space heaters you may have, but if you were sitting next to this it would keep you cozy and warm enough. The one AWESOME thing about this unit is not the unit itself, but the remote! It is magnetized and latches on to the top of the tower with the slightest of touches. I can't believe ALL appliances and electronics do not have this feature pre-built in. How many times have you misplaced a TV remote or electronic remote. This is great. As far as the purification ability of this tower, yes it works and yes it does a decent job of keeping the room I sleep in less stuffy from the heat and other materials in the air. But I am sure you could get the same results from something that costs half what this tower costs. I would not recommend this at full price, or even 3/4 the price. It would have to be about $200-$300 cheaper. It's a good unit, but for the price I had to take off 1 star from my review.

The HP04 can be set manually to a target temperature in heat mode or manually working in cool mode. It also features an auto mode, so the machine will turn itself off when it reached either the target temperature and target purification setting (in heat mode) or the target purification setting itself (in cool mode).

Dyson fans use Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan. The change in pressure forces surrounding air to be drawn into the airflow, resulting in a powerful stream of smooth cooling air.

Works great- but for that much money, it should...
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Obviously, the elephant in the room is the cost. This is a lot of money to spend on a space heater. It is very high speed, low drag- to be sure. But you can buy multiple (perhaps more powerful) heaters for the same amount of money, right? So, for me, it has to do with the mission. I work in an office that is FREEZING, both in the summer and winter (which, I know, makes little sense). I have tried using a space heater in there, but it really doesn't work particularly well- right up until the point where it gets too hot to breathe. The adjustability of this unit has solved all of my problems. The heated directional flow from the fan is awesome at thawing out my frozen fingers on my keyboard, and the wide oscillation pattern can be kicked in (and I mean WIDE- nearly 360 degrees is possible) to even things out. You can also shift the airflow to the rear of the unit if need be. If you get a little too warm, just place it in "cooling" mode (most of us would call that a fan) and get some au naturale air flow. All of the functions are accessible from the small remote, which conveniently attaches magnetically to the top of the unit. More esoteric functions are managed via the phone app, which is admittedly a bit unnecessary (along with the requirement to provide Dyson with your email address before you can access it). That bit is more than a little annoying, I'll admit. The entire "fan" section is adjustable both in pitch and yaw, which makes directing airflow where you need it a breeze (sorry).If air purification is important to you, that is here as well, but not something I find particularly important. Be aware that the included carbon filters will need to be replaced eventually, and will need to be purchased from Dyson. At this point, I have no way to predict their lifespan, but the app will let you know, supposedly. Overall, this is a great little heater/fan. It looks reasonably cool (again, sorry) and works great. You can certainly hear it when set at its highest fan speeds, but you can put it in "night" mode which keeps the speeds on the low end and the noise level low. Doesn't bug me, as it is "white noise" and not really particularly loud, per se. Whether it is worth the $$ really comes down to whether it fits your particular needs (and if you can afford it in the first place). Like their vacuums, they are great if you can justify the cost. Thankfully, we have plenty of cheaper but perfectly viable options for those who would have to choose between this and paying rent (pay the rent).
