Not a durable product.

When I took it to Dyson (Local store) to trouble shoot and repair, they said the PCB is gone. Part is no longer available from the manufacturer. We can offer 30% discount on any new products.

Not Premium at all

We brought it into Dyson's repair center, and after a weeks diagnosis we found there is nothing they can do to help. The motor failed and they don't have any more motors to replace it. Sorry for your $711 fan, but nothing we can do. Not even a discount on a new fan. This is not a premium product, with premium customer service. Dyson doesn't stand behind their product.

Hard to believe
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This fan is very nice but, I am not sure if the air readings are actual I literally cleaned and dusted purposely on the date received and the air quality reports all all “good” across the board... I contacted Dyson they said it would be real time results I am wondering is the product worth keeping at this point?

Absolutely Useless
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Useless, i bought this to maintain a temperature in a room 71 (degrees). Like HVAC in a house... It cannot do this. It can heat, it can cool, but cannot switch between the two modes (automatically) to maintain a set temperature. You want to control the temp via the app? (like you can with any other thermostat app, nest, honeywell etc) nope it cant do that. (apparently because of US regulations that dont allow remote control of a heater, which is odd considering it comes with a remote control and every other brand of heater allows remote thermostat control)... You want to turn on the device remotely in the am with the app so that the room is warm for when you go to work in the office ..nope it doesn't let you, it will turn on, but only to cool.... and will for no discernible reason it will be cooling it below the ambient temp. You want it to heat a space all day? nope, Cant do that either... it turns off after 9 hours. This has clearly not been designed by a human but by a board of technicians who dont understand that users will want a device like this to do one thing, keep a consistent temperature.

The Dyson Pure Hot + Cool purifying fans have been designed to deliver a powerful stream of cooling or heated, purified air from the front of the machine. Dyson Pure Hot + Cool units will also offer the option to divert air through the rear annular at a 45˚ angle, creating a more diffused airflow. Also, thanks to the 350 degree oscillation, Dyson Pure Hot + Cool purifying fans can be used to help project purified air around the whole room and may be used to deliver heated and purified air to every corner of the room. Airflow angles can also be customized using the remote control or Dyson Link app. You will also have the option of a Night mode which will use the machines quieter settings, reducing airflow speeds to range from 1 to 4. Night mode will also dim the display and the machine will run more quietly, making it ideal for use while sleeping. I'm also happy to share that you may customize Night mode settings in the Dyson Link App.

False advertising - beware
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dyson.has fine products but I purchased another heater/fan specifically to control the machine with my smart speakers or phone. Despite advertising this function’s availability, it is not until you buy the machine that you find out the Dyson has deactivated this function for heat. You have to use the little remote, which means you need to be standing directly in front of the machine....that defeats the whole purpose of this machine!!!!!!! Dyson falsely advertises functions that are not available. That makes this machine just another very expensive space heater. I won’t be buying Dyson again

I can confirm that Dyson Pure Hot + Cool Air Purifiers are compliant with safety standard UL 1278, as required by the US Government. As a result, heating and temperature control outside of the cooling fan mode are not available via the Dyson Link app for heater models. We would in that case recommend using your machine's remote control in instances where you wish to utilize the heater functionality of our machine. Electrical/Safety hazard
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Plugged it in and it ran for a while (blowing cool air with temperature set for 90 degrees). House lights started to flicker and went dim. Cable/internet and tv went out then reset. There was a RED triangle on the display of the Dyson unit. It happened again and again. Yes, it is their product as it happened several times. I unplugged it and everything is fine. Afraid to plug it back in!! Contacted Dyson, but no reply.

Not worth the money

Went to Best Buy and picked it up, got home and installed the app and was surprised to find out from customer support that you cannot control the heat functions from the app. It doesn't say that anywhere online for the specs of the device. I was going to keep it because at least I could see the temperature in the room but then the traditional remote stopped working and would not let me turn up the heat...only turn it down. It was in that very moment I decided to return the device...I don't have the time or patience for a $699 fan/space heater to not work on the first day.

Not compatablie with Good Home and no remote heat

I would pay more for the old version with more features. And these knuckleheads still lack google home integration, but somehow they added Siri (and Siri is unusable technology)

Dont expect support from Dyson!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After being a loyal Dyson customer for over 10 years our expensive heat/cool fan stopped working after less than a year of light use and displayed a F2 error code. After phone calls and emails it was determined by Dyson that the air filter needed replacing. Cool but after spending $64 for a new filter guess what F2 error code. More emails and because the unit was 1 month over warranty they won't replace the unit. I learned Dyson has moved their manufacturing overseas and since then the rate of dysfunctional units has doubled. Now I have an expensive piece of plastic junk!!!!

Cannot heat with WiFi app

If you are intending on using for babies room then you basically bought a $649 glorified fan...only the remote will control heat and temp due to a new UL conservation guideline.

Disappointing quality for a "premium" brand
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well, only a couple of months after the 2 year warranty, the device fails and gives a generic "Error" message asking to contact customer support. And All they can recommend for such a "premium" and in theory quality product is to purchase a new one! Word by word from Dyson: "I'm very sorry that your machine is giving this error. At this time, the warranty has matured as of 12/7/2019. At this time, we would recommend replacing the machine." No issues paying the premium for a quality product and service, this is honestly one of the worst experiences with a customer service I've had! No more.

Dead on arrival!

Ordered, picked up, unboxed, and at first start up the fan makes noises like its rubbing hard. I unplugged, inspected, and every power up it attempts to start the fan with no success. It now only displays an error symbol after each attempt for start up. I'll return tomorrow, accept a swap if on hand, but if it has to be ordered I'll return it out right. Very disappointed.

Defective upon delivery

This is the third Dyson product I've purchased and the second that's had power issues early in its life. I no longer trust the brand to provide a quality product that will last long enough to justify the high price.
