    I didn't like this machine. It was too hard to get the used grounds out after each use. I got the Jura S8 and love it.

    Died 5 months after purchasing. Now, it’s a $3k paperweight.

    They forgot to remove the grinder knob. It's redundant, since you can use the screen.

    Expresso Bar Level Coffee at Home in a Jiff!

    There are some long-term maintenance issues with this complex Breville. This is our 2nd one after the full one was replaced free of charge. However, the ease of making expresso bar quality coffee drinks has us hooked and this machine. We also took the 2 yr Geek Squad warranty just to be safe. We know we will be drinking great coffee for the next couple of years so this machine is well worth.

    We owned the Barista Express for 4 years. No issues with the heavy use we put it through. We decided that we wanted something that would take some of the guess work out - mainly when it came to frothing and tamping. This machine checks all the boxes perfectly. Americanos and Flat Whites are perfect. Love the auto-on feature as well as the self-cleaning it does after steaming the milk. Only con would be that it's much bigger in comparison to our previous machine and thus no longer fits under our kitchen cabinets. Highly recommended if you want exception espresso with some of the guess working taken out. Especially if you can catch it on sale.

    If people are saying that these machines are prone for problems at earlier time I am very disappointed that even Bestbuy has his at $2700 when it's selling everywhere else under $1900. Also I think this machine is way over price.

    Makes great coffee but way too expensive for a machine that broke in 2 1/2 years. Breville offered a new one at “only $2,099”. Nope, I’ll find something that lasts longer.

    A dangerous, utter waste of money!

    PSA...do not waste so much of your hard-earned money on this horrific machine (specifically the Breville Oracle Touch). We are SO DISAPPOINTED in this $2800 coffee maker! OUR FIRST ONE DIED within the first year. Breville replaced it! We thought..."amazing! What a great company! At least they stand by their product." THE REPLACEMENT DIED within the following year. Now, because Breville only warrantees the initial purchase, there is no more warranty...and we are stuck with a machine that sounds like it might catch fire at any moment. Arching on the inside. Raging heat on the exterior. Random fits and starts. Too dangerous for us. So there goes $2800 (unless we pay them $550 to come to take a look at it...and then pay them even more to fix it). No thanks. Huge Mistake. Be advised. Not safe. Not dependable. Not worth it to say the VERY LEAST. I will very happily remove this comment if Breville changes course and resolves the issue. But if this is still up...you'll know the issue never got resolved.

    This Machine only brews Dissapointment

    When this machine works, it makes great coffee drinks. We purchased this unit from Best Buy last November. Within 6 months the grinder was not working properly and the software was quirky. 3 weeks ago Breville sent us a new machine, we were without it for about 1 mos. The new machine purges the entire water tank when you turn it on. We call Breville and they want us to send it to them to look at. 2-4wks turn around. Really??? We paid $2,500 for this machine and we have been nothing but dissapointed.

    Irreparable Junk

    Enjoy it while it lasts: it won't. And since nobody in town can fix it, you're done. Calling for Geek Squad support will get you a promise they will fix it if you make an appointment, but when you bring it in they'll tell you Best Buy doesn't fix it any more than anybody else in town (call around and ask: nobody fixes them). Online chat will lie and tell you Best Buy will fix it and you'll waste a trip with a heavy machine. Find a brand somebody can fix. It's not worth $1000/year, which is about what the machine costs. In my case the second steam element (for the frothing wand) died. None of the recommended maintenance prevents this, and no troubleshooting guide shows how to solve it, and nobody will repair it even for money. Call Breville? Prepare to be on hold 2 hours 45 minutes, their recording says. And their passive-aggressive call-back service won't tell you how to get your machine repaired either, they put you on hold for laughs. They don't want to stand behind it even with their name on it. Deeply disappointing waste of your time and money.

    Poor tamp and customer support

    I bought the Oracle Touch new and have had it for 2-3 months. The tamping on my machine is terrible - very wavy and sloppy. I have been having to manually tamp. The customer support mailed me a replacement tamping fan and said that should fix it, but the replacement parts don’t even fit. I called customer support, he said that there must not be a replacement tamping fan that fits my new machine??? And then the rep told me that I have grind finer or the tamp mechanism won’t work well. However, I had the grind set appropriately for a 1:2 extraction in 30 sec. The rep said “well, unfortunately, it doesn’t tamp well, so you just need to grind finer”. Even when I explained that a finer grind would over-extract for my beans, he said “well, if you want a good tamp, that’s what you need to do. You have to adjust the grind setting based on the tamp quality, not the extraction” ???? WHAT WHAT??? So, I’m annoyed and disappointed to say the least. The couldn’t fix my tamping fan, and then just told “too bad. I guess you can’t dial in your machine now.” WHAT?
