Having never been a Dyson owner before, I struggled to know which one would be good for our home. I didn’t want to spend a ton, but wanted to get something that hopefully would work well. We have a hypoallergenic dog so the animal type vacuums didn’t pertain to us. So I started with the v7 and went all the way to the v11 for comparison. Again, not wanting to spend over $500, the v11 was out. It seemed like the right answer was v10 because of the suction. The majority of our flooring is hardwood. I wanted the suction for in between the boards. Therefore, I bought the v10 and couldn’t be happier. I am an over the top clean freak and this vacuum puts a smile on my cave every time I pull it out. Our floors do not have one speck of dirt on them. I agave also used the stick on the carpets and it still has great suction. Overall, best vacuum I have purchased for my money. I will recommend over and over again. Thank you Dyson!

Loved this machine but after awhile it began to have trouble staying on - the trigger had to be pulled hard and would cut off.

Bought this in 2020 and it is now 2024. After 4 years of using and maintaing, I personally think this was not the way to go. i probably shouldve invested in a Meile. It is good for thep urpose of the cordless function but the dust gets into the air, its not as strong suction after 4 years of use.

Stopped working less than three years after purchase. This is the second one in six years. For the price, should last a lot longer than it does. We don’t even have carpeting. We have hard wood floors and leather furniture.

Item is not made to withstand a home with multiple large long haired dogs in my experience. Will try the larger one.

I bought this 2 years ago (and 3 weeks) and it is already not working. Right now though I have a $700 piece of junk in my living room because I can't use it to vacuum floors. Out of warranty (by 3 weeks) so I am screwed. Buy another one that can be easily replaced rather than an expensive Dyson! I will never buy another!! The only positive has been the convenience of the cord free vacuum. So easy to use, but I will look into a different brand since I now can't use this one any more!

I lost two High Torque cleaner brush heads V11 within two years of use. I will buy the third one; otherwise, I must eliminate the entire vacuum.

Didn’t pick up dog hair as well as advertised. Battery broke on first one in like 4 months. Then filter sign kept coming on even though vacuum was entirely cleaned, and wouldn’t work more than 5 minutes. After returning it twice we switched to a shark. Got to say though warranty works best.

Great vacuum. Do recommend the extended warranty for these. We’ve had to get a new one about every two years due to the battery or charging cord. Otherwise great product

My husband purchased for me at Bed Bath and Beyond, following research that I provided. Sure a larger cannister with a max fill line much less than the v8 absolute cannister . The attachment needs to be removed in order to empty ... it sticks and doesn't remove easily. Dog hair is trapped up in the cannister and requires cleaning with a hand swipe... gross. There is also a crevice in the cylinder that gets plugged and you need to stick your finger in to clean.. even more gross. I've had it for 6 weeks and wish I would have suggested another v8 absolute. Very disappointed. Whoever designed this doesn't vacuum let alone have pets to clean up after. All I get done doing is emptying the cannister and taking off the attachment each time. It also sticks out much farther in the charger which makes it more difficult to store efficiently and out of the way. A newer model should be an improvement...not a giant step back!

I have another Dyson and they both are messy to empty, no matter what the ad says. The head of the Dyson V11 is like a bobble head and is going to take practice to go where I want. I'm not ruling out that I need to get better at it by cleaning more.

Everything good they say about this Vaccum is false. I've owned mine for under a year and I'm looking for a new one to replace it. I will no longer buy Dyson. This vacuum if you put it on full strength only vacuums for 12 minutes at a time. It's necessary to put it on full strength because the first two levels do not pick anything up. It's hard to take apart to clean and dump. Because you only have 12 minutes to clean do you have a real hard time cleaning the filter because it takes a full days charge to get that 12 minutes.It will continually display that it's clogged when there's nothing there. There's no place to put whatever accessories you get with it. Mine did not come with a docking station. I paid over $600 for nothing. Now I'm looking at shark. Don't waste your time don't waste your money it will do no good for you
