Must have for any busy family
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this as a gift for Mother's day after we received our new puppy. It takes a few days for "moppy" to learn your floor plan, and when you get to view the plan it is not easy to tell what direction you are looking at the mop so creating rooms is a little tricky. The mop itself works great, most of my area rugs it was able to tell right away they were rugs and did not mop there. The only issue it had is my thin rug. It could not tell it was a rug and would mop there until I used the app to make it a "do not mop" area. The mop is a little sensitive you have to follow an almost exact routine when you refill and change the mop head, or it might not run as scheduled. The mop doesn't hold a ton of fluid (water) so I have to refill before every mop run. Also I use both the reusable and the single use wet mop pads, the single use is easy to tell how much it picked up, the multi use often I wonder if it cleaned anything. I have only used water and the robot solution (you can order a case from the manufacture), the result is great little to no streaking, no stickiness, and clean floors. I run mine every morning before the house is really up and moving (the mop has to have light to work), it would be nice if they could run at night. The mop is quiet, you can hear it but its not annoying. I love my mop!

Good but minor irritating flaws
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, when the robot does its job properly, it is excellent. With that said, there are times when the robot will get lost or stuck. When I woke the other morning it had stopped about 6 feet from the base (in perfect line of sight) and died because it couldn’t find the base (the base is positioned as recommended by iRobot). Also, when the robot gets stuck and no one is around to rescue it you’re left with a partial job complete. The robot does a great job dry and wet mopping, but it seems like the robot will “obsess” over certain areas and take less time in others. One other frustration is it will not enter other rooms if a transition piece over a certain height is present. We have a transition piece between our kitchen and living room and living room and foyer. The transition piece appears to be at or slightly higher than the height the robot uses to detect what could be an obstacle or rug. Frankly I wish you could control it and tell it to try harder to pass those transitions. Once in a while the robot will take a proper angle approach and make the transition, but that is rare. The mapping software is good and the robot will focus on your whole floor plan or certain rooms you dictate using the mapping. Room barriers can be created to show the different areas and you can tell the robot to work only in a specific room. I’m the beginning I was having problems with the robot getting stuck in its base. Contacting iRobot for help proved useful and they were able to help resolve the issue.

Poor mapping, mediocre mopping, poor value
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased for a ~1500 sqft home with all hard floors and a few rugs. Main disappointment was with poor navigation capabilities and tedious user experience, providing overall poor value. Cons: - Requires two successful cleaning/mapping passes before any modifications to the map can be made, including placing keep-out zones; you must clear out all obstacles beforehand and baby the m6 through these first two passes - If the m6 gets stuck/trapped during a mapping run, the entire mapping run is considered invalid - Cannot perform a mapping run unless either a wet or dry pad is attached - Treats small transitions as if they are stairs/edges; while these transitions can be "ignored" in the app, you can only do this after two successful mapping runs - We have a transition that is 3/8" down over 3 inches (a ~7 deg decline) into a bathroom; the m6 can make it into this room but not out, and acts as if it is at the edge of the stairs; since it always gets stuck in this room, it can never complete a mapping run that includes this room, so we can never tell it to ignore this transition - Relies almost entirely on its bump sensors for mapping edges; pushes even relatively heavy objects (like a half-full indoor recycle bin) without triggering the bump sensors - Drives full-speed into walls and obstacles the first time it encounters them - Requires indoor lights to be left on in order to navigate optimally - No scrubbing action on the mopping pad produces mediocre cleaning results; using windex + paper towels on the floor after the m6 performed two cleaning passes still picked up dirt - Always asked for the water tank to be filled before cleaning, even if I literally just filled it up; removing and immediately re-inserting the water tank made it happy - Does not provide real-time location or mapping; no way to see where the m6 thinks it is or what the map it built looks like until it's done cleaning and back at the dock - Cannot lift mop pad, so cannot traverse a carpeted area between two hard-floor areas Pros: - True edge-to-edge cleaning; the mop pad extends slightly out past the edge of the m6 so it can get right up against the edge of the wall - Re-usable mop pad and some iRobot cleaning solution included - Mops in nice straight lines with good overlap, after tracing out the edges of the room/obstacles - The app is good overall, but just has seemingly arbitrary limitations (like no live view, no ability to edit map before 2 successful passes, etc) - The cleaning solution seems to help the floors dry faster and leaves them smelling clean and fresh - Spray jet for the cleaning solution and adjustable spray amount emulates a hand mop - Can coordinate with some high-end (over $600) iRobot vacuums to vacuum and then mop - Good build quality, decent water tank capacity, quiet and precise movement At $450, the m6 is just not worth the money. Even on sale at $350 the value proposition is just not there. My Samsung POWERBot from 2018 has better obstacle avoidance than the m6. And any LiDAR-equipped alternative is going to be much easier to work with. If the mopping pad at least vibrated like the Braava 240, I might considered sticking with it. In the end I returned this and purchased a $650 Roborock S7, which has LiDAR, vibrating mop pad, real-time mapping and location reporting, live keep-out-zone creation, carpet detection + retractable mop pad, oh and it vacuums at the same time. I still use the iRobot cleaning solution with the S7. The single issue have with the S7 is that it leaves about a 1" un-mopped border since the mopping pad doesn't cover its full width. Otherwise the experience, especially right out of the box, is just so much better than the m6. Overall, the m6 is a poor value with the bare minimum functionality out-of-the-box, despite all of its supposedly high-tech features. Other manufacturers are producing more innovative and user-friendly products that provide a much better value.

Does its job
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased a robot mop and I must say, it has been a great addition to my home. The mop is easy to use and does a great job of cleaning. It is able to navigate around obstacles and can be programmed to clean at certain times. The mop is also very quiet and efficient, so it doesn't disturb anyone while it is in use. Overall, I'm very pleased with my robot mop and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient cleaning solution. It does not get up tough stains. Its good at sprucing up

Starting to fall in love
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After all the research that i've done for mopping robots, it appeared this seemed to be the only real option considering it actually sprays. Most of the other ones use wet towels or something to that degree to 'mop' the floor. I read the other reviews and I do agree that just because of the name irobot doesn't mean that it is so great. To be honest I was less enthusiastic about it as my wife was. One thing to note is that it is really quiet. Initially my frustrations seemed to be set aside once I got the tank filled and set it on the charger. There after connecting it to WIFI I decided to do the recommended room scan. I completed that twice and not once did it get stuck (thank god). It has only been a few weeks, but so far I'd say it's good, but far from perfect. It did get stuck once or twice during an actual cleaning session, but that doesn't bother me as much as my other irobot. Furthermore, it is extremely quiet which I like and wish my other vaccum would be more quiet, but that isn't the case.

Quiet, fast, fun
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the coolest little robot appliance on the market. We have the iRobot i3 vacbot and you can set these up to run in sequence through the app. It is very convenient. Following the i3, this can do all of the hardwood in the house in about an hour and a half for the full clean time, which is just fantastic. It is incredibly quiet and sleek looking as well.

Just ok but not bad at all.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not bad at all. Takes a little to get set up and the replacement pads are a bit expensive. So I suggest getting the Amazon basics ones. They work perfectly. Other than that it’s pretty good. I recommend using medium liquid on washing floors. It can leave streaks if to much is put down.

Decent entry in the iRobot line
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent iRobot entry that can mop your tile and hardwood floors. Doesn't work miracles like I was hoping for and reading other reviews online about. It might work better if I manually mopped my whole floor first and used it every week or two to keep the floors clean. The cleaning solution and water lasts a longer amount of time/distance than I would have expected.

It's OK
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've had the Braava jet for almost two years. It cleans well but not as well as Swifter mop. It occasionally get lost when moping and try's to mop areas that are marked on the mop as carpet.

Think Automated Swiffer
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All and all the M6 is good for upkeep/maintenance. It does not do a deep clean of floors. I still suggest having a normal routine for your floors. Think of this as an automated Swiffer. The pad doesn't vibrate or move, rather it pushes cleaning solution around on your floor just as a Swifter does making it good for quick cleaning and floor maintenance inbetween your deep cleans. The mapping on the M6 is great, though it does take a while and quite a few trips to complete. The robot itself is very quiet, especially when using the sweeping mode as it doesn't activate the sprayer. A common problem with the M6 is when it's attempting to dock. The wheels become wet from mopping the floors which sometimes causes them to slip when rolling on to the slick plastic dock. There is a grip spray that can be purchased from any hardware store which will remedy this issue. All in all this is a good robot for maintaining your floors but do not expect it to deep clean.

For those who have large tile floors
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a little expensive compared to what it does. The mapping is alright but sometimes it gets lost and you need to train it back again. also sometimes it looses the idea of charging stand. not worth if you have only a small portion of tiled floor. if you have a large tile floor, then it will save you some time.

Wish that I could give 10 stars
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the BEST iRobot product, in my opinion. Yes, I love my Roomba, but this mopping jet is where it's at! Number one, it is soooo quiet! Number 2, I really like the fact that is goes in straight lines, you can see where it has mopped. Number 3, I like the fact the the app lets you see the places it has mopped; a map. Number 4, having both reusable and disposable pads is a plus! If you have a we have about 1100 sf of mopable space downstairs (I've excluded area rugs and the one carpeted bedroom) and this gets every part! I still spot mop with Bona, but run this 3 times a week. We have LVP Mohawk flooring.

Amazing Companion
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a game changer, especially if you are connecting this to an "Imprint Link" device (Roomba 900 series, I7 or S9). I tell the Roomba to vacuum and given options to have the mop run immediatley after. Currently I am running a cycle that every other day it vacuums then wet mops and on the other days it does a dry mop sweep of the tile and hardwood. Mapping takes about 4 runs to learn your lay-out and then you can specify which rooms you would like to clean. I have not tried this on any overally messy spots, but I can clearly see a difference from the day we brought it home until about a week later. The floors look and feel a ton better. Only downside... if you use a cleaner other than the iRobot product it will void the warranty and the cleaner they recommend is very difficult to find in stock. I happen to find a local Lowe's that had 5 bottles in stock and bought all 5 since I wasn't sure when it would be available again. however, you can always run it with just water and it still makes a HUGE difference! Pro Tip: Get the washable pads. They will save you a ton of money and honestly, I think they are better than the reusables anyway.

My fav mop
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this little critter. She keeps my hardwood and kitchen floors looking good. The only con I have is that it does leave streaks so my husband always wants to mop the old fashioned way... annoying at best, but I a not complaining because I don't have to do it lol

finally a good mop!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a few iRobots and this was the one missing link to keep my floors clean. It's not a perfect solution for bigger messes, but for daily light cleaning, it really works great. I have hardwood floors throughout the living room, kitchen, dining, and hallways. I have carpet in the rooms, so it's easy to keep out of them, without having to set up sensors or "no go zones" I do have aftermarket pads since BB doesn't seem to want to keep them in stock? Both the dry and wet mop work well. The wet mop you can dial up or down the spray level, use your own solution (though they will push the official cleaner). So there is a learning curve to figure out what works best for you. The dust mop works extremely well, since it creates a staic charge to really get things to stick to it. Even pet hair and normal human hair is picked up and stcuk to the dry mop well. Overall it's a great add on to your iRobot family since they can link cleaning jobs. I don't think it would be as good all by itself or with other robot vacs, since you wouldn't be able to link their cleaning ( Unless you use Alexxa, etc)

Highly overpriced roboVac
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent product with decent performance. It will not exactly map out your home the way it is laid out. Sometimes gets stuck but overall does a decent job. It is way overpriced in my opinion and maybe some of the cheaper models do the same thing.

Provides a good surface cleaning, but quite slow
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not much more I can add that other reviews haven't already touched on. If you're expecting a deep clean from what is basically an automated swiffer, you'll be disappointed. I would recommend a nice thorough manual mopping to give you a good place to start, and then let this mop do the maintenance work for you from that point on. Once you have that baseline, it actually does a great job keeping the floor clean. It's smaller than I expected, and it takes a long ... long ... long time to mop my floors, but it's cool to set it and forget it. If you have a threshold that is any more than a tiny speed bump on the floor, don't expect it to be able to make it over. My first floor is basically divided by very tall thresholds, so once it finishes one half, I have to pick it up and have it mop the other half in a different session. Pricey for what it does, but it's not really meant to be something practical, more of a luxury at this point.

Great technology...but left too many streaks!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to fall in love with this mop. Hopefully as much as I feel in love with my Roomba. On our first date, I actually was in love with it. I tried to ignore the streaks it left on my dark wood floor. New relationships always have some issues. I just fiigured it was because I used tap water and too much cleaner. However, after I switched to purified water and little to no cleaner, it still left streaks. It also left light wheel marks on my floor and a light haze. I then tried using re-usable pads! But no luck. So after a few fun, but non-productive, dates, I gave up. But I must say the technology is fantastic. I just think on dark, wood floors, the technology is not advanced enough yet. Once they get these issues worked out, I would probably buy another one.
