We had a Samsung robot vacuum prior to this and was left very disappointed with that one. Took a chance on this Shark based on previous experience with Shark vacuums and I am delighted by how well it works. It was very easy to set up, with clear directions. Easy to schedule the guy to start on its own at a particular time. It is so smart it learns your house eventually and you can tell it to clean certain rooms or stay out of certain areas. You can also send commands to the vacuum with the Shark Clean app. Initially I thought it did not do a very good job picking up dirt and pieces of stuff on the floor but it eventually does get it all clean. While it seems to move in random rows, it has a method to its madness and will get the floors clean. I am also surprised at how quiet the machine is. Yes you can hear it, but it is not anywhere near as loud as a regular vacuum. You can still watch tv while it is doing its business. The "sweeper" legs do a good job of sweeping small things into the path of the suction from the edges of the floor. A very good purchase. Be sure to register the vacuum as it extends the warranty to two years instead of 1.

This little Shark vacuum has great suction - we have it set to come on daily and the floors it goes to get cleaned thoroughly. However, that is where the issue is with this vacuum. We set it up downstairs and followed the instructions as to distance on each side, in front, etc. This thing will clean every room but it will not go in our kitchen! I don't understand how it misses it - maybe the mapping feature will improve in time, but as of now, I am not sold on it. I turned on the feature to charge and resume, in case it was running out of battery, but it still continues to skip over our kitchen. This vacuum does have great suction though. Similar to another high-end vacuum brand. We have two cats and in the rooms it DOES make it into, there's no cat hair to be seen. Love that. All in all, I do recommend this vacuum as the suction is very good. If they can update the mapping feature this would be an excellent robot vacuum choice.

When I first opened the box I was intimidated thinking the setup process was going to be difficult, but I was very wrong. Within about 15 minutes I had the Shark setup and it was charging. After the charge (Overnight), I had it do the first run of the house and it worked quite well actually. I did have to make sure the cell phone chargers were out of the way and the floor was picked up so keep that in mind. Overall I would definitely pick this up again, it eliminates a boring chore and is not super complicated to set up like some of the other robot vacuums!

This new Shark robot vacuum included clear instructions and was straightforward to set up and configure. After getting the vacuum connected to my wifi network and phone app, I told it to start cleaning my downstairs area. My ground floor includes the living room and kitchen. It did a great job of avoiding obstacles and chairs while picking up most dirt and fuzz from the carpeted areas. You do need to remove charging cables and smaller items, because the vacuum will not avoid them. I have not had a chance to test it at the top of my stairs yet, but it is supposed to avoid falling down stairs on its own. Overall I am happy with the quality and cleaning ability of this new model robot vacuum.

After reading lots of reviews, we decided to give this product a chance. Setup was easy, and overall, it did a good job. It took about 17 runs to create a map of our home. However, even after creating rooms with the map, when we had it clean a specific room, it would randomly clean spots throughout the house. When set to return to the dock, it would still continue to clean. It continuously got hung up on our Floor fan as it would climb the base of it. Then, after a couple weeks of use, it started stopping during cleanings for an obstruction code. After completely cleaning the unit and talking with customer support, they said it required replacement and would cost us $25 for shipping and handing. I informed them I wasn’t interested and returned it. If we had had it longer than a couple of weeks, say maybe a year or so, and this had happened, that would be reasonable, but we didn’t feel it was at this time. We had already debated returning it because of the random cleaning with using the map, so it made the decision easier. I wouldn’t recommend this product. We payed the difference and bought a Roomba i7 after reading reviews from consumers and testing companies.

Great product, quick and easy setup. I like that it can handle both my hardwood floors and carpet rooms during the same cleaning session. Also, being able to pick specific areas is a very cool feature. One thing to note, before I start it, I sweep out any tricky corners and remove any cables or wires that may be laying around so they do not get caught. Having this vacuum is one less chore I have to worry about.

This vacuum takes forever to map a house. The machine stops in the middle of a room without any reason. Finally the app drops contact frequently.

This robot is not very smart. After two months it’s still hasn’t made a map of my house because it keeps trying to go to the dock before it finishes the house even though it’s still has plenty of charge left. Sometimes it just spins around in circles and sometimes it just outlines the room over and over it doesn’t clean the center. I wish I would have never bought this thing.
