The Humidifier of the future today…
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When unboxing the Dyson Pure Humidify + Cool (PH01) you can tell the thought that goes into everything Dyson does is top notch. From the way everything is packed into the box to the easy and thoughtful way you can unbox the Pure Humidify with ease. Setup is east, only minor assembly is required, just take some packing tape off the PH01, install the filters and fill the reservoir with water. The cool thing about the water reservoir is once you fill to the fill line and go t install you will notice on the bottom are wheels so it just rolls into place, again it’s the little things. Download the Dyson App and link up your PH01 to use with your smartphone. Can be used to manually turn features on and off as well as schedule on time and customize your PH01’s operation. There is an included remote that you can use to operate the PH01 as well. I have allergies and love the fact that this will not only help to remove allergens (with the Glass HEPA Filter) from the air but will get the room to the proper Humidity automatically. The PH01 will do an analysis of your rooms air quality and humidity levels in real time and work to get them both to proper levels. I’m using this in a very large living room and after running the PH01 for a while I noticed that my eyes were not itchy and there was an overall better atmosphere within the living room. You can utilize the humidifier function or not and just utilize the air purifying function, your choice. Cleaning seems fairly easy from the description, but I haven’t used it enough yet to need to do so. If the atmosphere within your house is important to you then get this machine, if you have allergies its almost a must as far as I’m concerned. Great design and tech features as always from Dyson.

Absolute quality air purifier/humidity control
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My wife and children suffer from bad allergies and any poor air quality indoors effects their breathing and asthma and especially during warmer seasons and really everything effects their nasal and breathing passages. Bring in Dyson which creates the most quality products I have ever seen. Not only have I had nothing but great luck with Dyson Vacuums, but I compare their quality and ease of use to Apple products. Even the packaging and easy to follow instructions and iPhone apps, are easy to use, follow and help to moderate their product use. This product is no different and is a standup cool fan, humidifier plus air purifier to level out the air quality in your home, monitor the quality and let you know the percentages of air quality, how outside air effects it and with the easy to follow diagram on the front face of the fan, inside the app and allows a simple easy to use interface. This device may cost a little most but has various fan levels, is a sleek design and can shift air flows throughout any size rooms. I would highly recommend.

Game changer and worth every penny
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.As soon as March 1 rolls around, I pretty much have the humidifiers and air purifiers (non Dyson) running nonstop in my apartment. My allergies have gotten so bad in recent years! I would keep a humidifier on my nightstand basically bathing me in moisture all night and I would still wake up with swollen eyes and a stuffed nose and feeling awful. Since being stuck indoors because of COVID I decided I needed to try anything to get some relief, and so I purchased this absurdly expensive machine after doing a ton of research on the technology. I just woke up from my second night of having it on 24 hours a day and I immediately knew I needed to write a review. This machine is incredible. I slept through the night and woke up with clear sinuses, fully refreshed, and NO SWOLLEN EYES!!! I can’t believe it. And as a bonus, my skin feels soft instead of dry like it normally does. I ordered direct from Dyson but their website won’t let me leave a review so I came here to tell you that you would be an idiot to not purchase this machine, especially if you are an allergy sufferer or have dry skin. My only advice would be to buy from Best Buy because Dysons direct customer interface was a nightmare. It took over two weeks to get the thing after being promised two day delivery (and no communication about delays) and then 2.5 hours on the phone desperately trying to get in touch with a real human because their text feature doesn’t work. It turned out it was a warehouse supply issue and not a covid related shipping delay, and the website wasn’t showing up to date inventory which is why it (wrongly) promised two day delivery. It was such a pain, so safe yourself the headache and buy from Best Buy. My only complaint is that anything over setting 6 is quite loud. But honestly, I had it on 10 and it was like a wind tunnel. I keep it on 5 and it’s perfect.

It's larger than I expected but really efficient in moving the air. I love the app that a constant monitor of the dust, pollen and mold, emissions, and temperature the entire time it is on. I love that it had the humidity level adjusted fairly quickly in my living room open floor plan that includes dining room and kitchen. It's about 750-800 square feet. There a bit of a spike in the graphs when we cook so it shows how cooking affects air quality. My husband says the only thing that would make it better would be if they included a built in heater as well. The app also monitors the filters and will let you know when they need to be replaced. I am so happy to be able to see the level of air quality. Knowing that, it is good is a constant reassurance especially since my daughter has asthma. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone!

The ultimate home air quality improvement product

We replaced an aging humidifier for our bedroom with the Dyson PH01. The Dyson PH01 brings not only humidification but air purification to the table. Everything about this device oozes quality - form the unboxing experience, to set up, and operation, it's a premium device. Unboxing took all of about 5 minutes - there's a lot of cardboard packing and a lot of tape to keep all the parts in place during shipping. Amongst all of the packing material, I almost missed the box with the included cleaning solution! Setup was a breeze. Plug it in, fill the tank with water, and technically it's ready to start humidifying and purifying. There's also a Dyson mobile app for your smartphone that allows you to control all functions of the device, set schedules, and view status about the humidification and air quality levels in the area where the device is running. I also enabled the Alexa skill for the unit. From unboxing, getting the PH01 operational, and having the mobile app set up and the Alexa skill enabled was around 15 minutes, maybe less. The included instructions are great, but for most users the setup is fairly intuitive. This device definitely has some features that I would classify as making this a "Luxury" humidification product. First, it has Dyson's Air Multiplier technology. I haven't read the "ins and outs" on how this works, but without a traditional fan blade, this thing can really move some air volume. At lower airflow settings, the unit is practically silent - but at higher airflow settings, the noise level does increase, but still significantly less than that of a traditional fan. It also has a "natural breeze" oscillation mode that attempts to create an airflow pattern that is reminiscent of an actual breeze, rather than a fan oscillating back and forth. It also has an option that I turn on at night to direct the airflow out of the rear of the unit to still keep airflow going, but not blowing directly on our bed - a very nice touch. The unit definitely has the Dyson look and feel to it. We have it in our master bedroom, but if this were in our family room its non-traditional appearance would definitely be a topic of conversation. As an air purifier, it shows data on and can apparently scrub for oxides of nitrogen, volatile organic compounds, and particulate matter in the 10 micron and 2.5 micron ranges. On the air purification front, I'm not sure I'm seeing a lot of benefit here, based on the data that this unit provides. The mobile app provides realtime and historical data on the air quality that it observes. The numbers for our master bedroom in any of the categories have never left the "Good" zone. I am not certain if this is because the air quality is simply OK in our room, or if the unit is always scrubbing the air and keeping it clean. Either way, the information provided is interesting. As for controls, there's five ways we can control the unit - Button on the top of the base to toggle power and start the cleaning session, the included remote control, the mobile app, the Alexa skill, as well as the scheduling function in the app. The remote control is small, but buttons have good feedback and the unit is immediately responsive to controls. The mobile app also works well to control the unit. Using the Alexa skill for voice control is of limited usefulness for this appliance, but the Alexa skill does allow you to control many of the functions of this device and integrate this device as part of your routines. For example, I had the device go into night mode when we executed our "Going to bed" Alexa routine. All in all, once I set up a schedule though, I hardly ever touch the controls. We tend to have a fixed bedtime / wake up routine, so a fixed schedule works well for us - literally set it and forget it. The mobile app has a few cool features, some I've mentioned above. One is that it tells you your remaining filter life, and when cleanings are due. One thing that would be nice is if the app would notify us when the humidifier tank is empty. With that being said, there's few drawbacks to this product. One, the humidifier tank needs filling frequently. I don't think there's a way around this in this time of year other than a larger tank, which would mean a larger unit. As mentioned above, the mobile app notification for humidifier tank empty status would be cool as well. An issue for us is also button placement on the unit. There's two buttons on the top of the unit, and our one year old son loves to discover new things, and he quickly discovered the buttons on top - and put the unit into a cleaning cycle, so we have to watch him whenever he ventures into our room! Another drawback could be considered the price - this is essentially a luxury humidification / purification unit that brings a lot of features to the table for a significant cost of entry. However, I will say that we have two Dyson vacuums in our home, and one of the units is going on 14 years old right now and still works as well as the day it was new. From what I have observed, you are buying a quality Dyson product that should last for years to come.

Disappointed

All was great at first until about 6pm today, it made a loud noise , shut off and kept showing a caution symbol. I unplugged it, checked to see if it was clogged and tried the deep cleaning but it won't let me press anything. The air setting keeps showing the humidifier , won't blow air at all.. Then just shuts off. I checked the app it says something is wrong with the machine. I started a live chat and explained what was happening, they immediately ended the chat without saying anything. I'm returning it tomorrow because I really shouldn't have to deal with all of this in less then a day after buying. I was really excited to have this. Hopefully, I can exchange for one that isn't fualty.

Worst humidifier

Purchased thru the store and had to call the customer service within the first year to replace the part that wasn’t working, same story in about a year. Finally, warranty was out and humidifier isn’t working since i am not willing to pay for the same broken or malfunctioning part. I am inly using the air purifier function now, and once its out - i am done w Dyson humidifiers/purifiers. I have dyson fan, straightener, fan.. and it is all working fine, just not the humidifier.

Deep Clean and Timer Issue
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had high expectations for this humidifier/purifier. First, it was a Dyson. Second, it was $800. I actually had to talk myself into buying it for several weeks because the sheer cost cost of it was pretty frightening for me. I own way too many Dyson products (fans, heaters, vacuums, etc) and NEVER had any issues. I purchased this mainly for the humidifier as the cold winter air in the northeast is way too dry for me since I was raised in the humid south. 2 months and 1 day after I purchased it, it was forcing me to do a deep clean. I found this pretty odd considering I just did one 3 1/2 weeks earlier. So, I gave in since I couldn’t figure out a way to bypass it and did a deep clean. A deep clean was just allowing the evaporator to sit in citric acid water for 60 minutes as nothing seemed to be running. I saw my timer start and after 45 minutes I decided to check to see how much time I had left. My timer was stuck at 58:33. I unplugged the unit and plugged it back it and the timer started again only for it to stop again 2 1/2 minutes later. I unplugged the unit AGAIN and plugged it back it and the timer started again only for it to stop again a minute or two later. So, there I was having to keep an eye on the timer and essentially having to restart timer every couple of minutes. I realized if I just used my remote to turn it off and on rather than unplugging it that worked too. Went through the entire deep clean process doing this. Once the deep clean process was done, I rinsed everything I was supposed to, filled my tank, got everything in the correct position in the unit, put the water tank in, and the unit turned on. My sigh of relief was short lived because after a few second of running, it was forcing me to do a deep clean AGAIN. By then, it was midnight and I was DONE!! I didn’t want to deal with contacting Dyson on a $800 product that was only two months old. I was very fortunate that I unknowingly purchased it during the holiday return period and was able to successfully return it the next day - 2 months and 2 days after I purchased it. I struggled with myself on rather or not I should get another unit. I ultimately decided against it because I would have had only 30 days for something to go wrong and this unit worked fine for the first 30 days.

Horrible Product cannot believe Dyson made this.

Before buying this, I have used air lab and V8 so I always had great trust in Dyson but this is not a Dyson-level quality product. 1. Misleading error message and inaccurate sensor. There is a sensor on *top of the water tank lid* that is very sensitive to water. If any water on the lid, you will get a wrong error message saying, "water tank is empty" even if the tank is full. I reported this issue to the agent and was instructed to dry it for 24 hours and try it again. It is the lid of the water tank so it is extremely difficult to stay out of water. It is something like you should not put toothpaste on the toothpaste top. Also, there is a clean cycle that you need to run. Without running it, it will stop you to run the humidifier. The clean cycle stops every 10 seconds. Trust me and google this error message and you will get tons of similar reviews. 2. Awful customer service. After struggling with this product, I was offered to get exchanged for a different machine. To be honest, I really want to get store credit or something else because it is surely purely designed. However, they said they can exchange it so I wanted to try again. Therefore, I send it over. It is been weeks that they sent it but I didn't get it. Every time I asked them where is the order, they will say wait few more days.

Broken. Exchanged it. Also broken.

The first one I bought demanded to be deep cleaned the first time it was turned on. Completing the deep clean didn't change anything. So I took it back to exchange it. The next one seemed to run but the water level in the tank never declined. After letting it run on full humidity for hours it never measured above 36%, except when I put another functional humidifier right next to it. Once I realized the cone shaped filter in the center was bone dry after all this, I gave up. Frankly for a company who prides themselves in a quality image to justify their exorbitant prices, this is unacceptable. My first and last dyson product.

With regard to your target humidity, the machine can reach 70% humidity, but getting to this target depends on environmental conditions like the size and ventilation of the room, and the relative humidity of the surrounding air. Even when the machine is working properly, it can naturally be harder to reach a target humidity if the air is relatively dry to begin with, if it’s an “open” environment where non-humidified air is flowing in, etc. We would value the opportunity to assist with your machine, to help ensure your Dyson is working properly. Only Worked for 3 Weeks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is an extremely expensive product, but with Dyson’s reputation I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately the product only worked for 3 weeks and then stopped Humidifying. The water tank would remain filled with low humidity levels when the tank should be used in 24-36 hours. My exact product is of course not available now and Dyson has no ETA for me of when a new one will arrive. So they have my $800 and I have no product for who knows how long. As you are reading these reviews please note that most of the positive reviews are from the “Insider Network” or people that have only had the product for 2 weeks. I would be curious to see what real people who have had this for over a month think as it seems this product doesn’t last for long. If you want to spend $800 for a tower that doesn’t work then this is the product for you.

DO NOT BUY
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought my machine at the end of June, 2020. It lasted 6 months before the pump motor failed. I returned the product to Dyson for a replacement and that only lasted a month. The pump column failed in the second machine. Dyson wants to swap this machine for a third one. I’ve spent hours on the phone processing returns, repacking, and taking this product to UPS. Beware that you cannot get a refund if the machine isn’t purchased directly from Dyson. Luckily, I received in store credit through Best Buy. I really just wanted my money back! I expected far more out of an $800 Dyson product! I will no longer support this company. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Defective product. Dyson will not help.

That one will break when you do the first deep clean. When you get tired of sending these monstrous defective products back, they will tell you they will not refund your money because they have a 30 day warranty. And the deep clean doesn't happen until months later so you don't know it is defective until it is too late. I have spent thousands of dollars on Dyson products and will never buy again. What an embarrassment. Selling defective products and not standing by them.

If you are having an issue, it's generally caused by the cap to the water tank getting wet, either while filling the tank or running the deep clean cycle. The cap contains power connections and should not be washed. If it gets wet, you can thoroughly wipe it with a dry cloth, making sure that the cap and connections are completely dry before sliding the tank back into your machine. You shouldn't ever need to wash the cap manually; instead you can allow the cleaning cycle to do this automatically. Probably an ok purifier, but a terrible humidifier

It struggles to get above 50% humidity in the ~150 sq ft room I have it in. It hovers about 40% without any humidifier, so I paid $700 to raise it 10 percent? Yikes. I love my Dyson vacuums (both of them!) but this is a massive waste of money for me.

Doesn’t humidify enough

I keep all the doors closed to my bedroom. Hopefully I can return it. It’s impossible to reach dyson for technical support. They don’t have any helpful tips on their website that address my issue,

The machine can reach 70% humidity, but getting to this target depends on environmental conditions like the size and ventilation of the room, and the relative humidity of the surrounding air. Not worth the money

For the money and just being dyson I would expect this to be amazing but despite being set to 70% humidity the room never got above 28%…and it was a small room, 9x10. Looking into whole house humidifiers instead as this was extremely disappointing.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First one did not work right out of the box. The second one has stopped working after 6 months. Obviously, I do not recommend anyone to buy this. I’m dreading going through the process of getting this situation resolved with Dyson. Super disappointed.
