Customers are saying
Customers are satisfied with the comfortable keys, adjustable backlighting, and excellent battery life of the MX Keys keyboard. Many appreciate the ease of use and compatibility across multiple devices. While some find the keyboard heavier than expected, and occasional connectivity issues have been reported, the positive feedback on key feel and overall quality outweighs these concerns. The price point is noted by some as a potential drawback.

Best BT keyboard for Max at any price range!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely perfect design and execution! Literally better than even Apple’s magic keyboard! Love the ease of use and keystroke feel. Heavy but solid construction makes this feel much more expensive than it is. If your in the fence, this keyboard is a major major GO!!!

Key broke within 2 months
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was happy initially with the keyboard during the first almost 2 months of use. But, now one of the number keys has come out and I hardly use those keys. So, it is troubling to me. I had to charge the battery only once in last 2 months,(I don't use backlight) and it lost connection to my Mac once, so had to re-set it up.

||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased my keyboard in September 2023. I used it less than twenty times. I just wanted a keyboard available. Last month, I picked up the keyboard to use and five black keys fell off. I couldn't pop them back on. I took it back to the Best Buy store, there was nothing they could do. I regret taking the less expensive route and purchasing this one rather than the Apple brand. I will never purchase Logitech again and will stick to Apple brand.

Great Wireless Keyboard for Mac and iPad Pro
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Outside of the Apple branded keyboards, aftermarket replacements, and a few Windows geared ones, this is my first premium keyboard designed for Mac. It comes neatly packaged, and includes a dongle for non-bluetooth enabled PCs/Macs for quick pairing out of the box. I opted to pair this with my older Mac Pro (2nd Generation), a Macbook Pro, and an iPad Pro for easier typing. The box includes a quick setup guide when you open it, that explains the pairing options, a link you can visit to walk you through set up (which makes it easier), and a quick illustration about Easy Switch for multiple devices. My setup didn't require the dongle, as all my devices include Bluetooth 4 and 5, making pairing fairly simple. Just hold down on the function key you'd like to pair (F13-F15 keys), and wait for them to blink quickly. Then use the appropriate bluetooth menus in settings to pair. With Mac, it will ask you to type in some numbers, just to confirm it's the right keyboard, and it's ready to use! The feel of the keyboard is similar to the newer Apple branded keyboards you can buy, it has a nice weight to it, with a raised back. If you're in need of a wrist pad, I'd recommend getting one, as this sits fairly flush to any flat surface. They keys aren't loud, but give a nice solid feel with each type, and the backlight is bright enough for any room. The keyboard does have the Mac specific function keys above the number keys, that allow a lot of the same controls you'd find on a standard Apple Keyboard; such as, backlight buttons for the display and the keyboard, along with the standard media keys. All of this worked out of the box, and didn't require any additional setup on either Mac or iPad. Once you've paired each device you'd like to use with the keyboard, simply tap and hold the appropriate function key to switch. If you hold it a little longer, it will go back into pairing mode, and in the event it just starts flashing, just simply pair it again or tap and it will leave pairing mode. In my use, a simple 2-3 second hold made switching easy, and it was immediately ready to start typing; with no long wait for a connection. The keyboard is charged using the included USB C to USB C cable, which works with the newer iPhone and iPad adapters, or can connect using the USB C port on your Macbook. In my case, I opted to use a USB-C to USB-A cable, as my older Mac Pro (my primary machine) lacks a USB C port. This worked flawlessly to begin charging, and once it was fully charged, just disconnected and stored the cable. It even has a nice Velcro strap to make it easy to store. On the top side of the keyboard, you'll find the USB C port for charging, along with a power slider button. The minimalist look of the keyboard makes it appear like it was designed for Mac by Apple, and my family members all thought it came included with my Mac Pro. The battery life is also really great, lasts about 10 days with the backlight on, or up to 5 months on a charge with it off. Overall, I'm really impressed with the dark gray look, the premium feel, and the fact that it's designed for Mac is a huge plus. I will say the box shows compatibility with Mac OS 10.13 or later, but worked without issue on my Mac Pro running 10.11.6. Macbook is running the latest Mac OS, and my iPad is running on iOS 14 beta. All of them worked without any additional setup, and none of them had any connectivity issues. This really is a solid "not designed by Apple" Mac keyboard, and another great accessory by Logitech!

Great Mac Keyboard
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.## Design The Logitech MX Keys for Mac keyboard is very comfortable to type on. While they are not the “clicky” keys you would find on a mechanical keyboard, they do provide nice, tactile feedback when typing without feeling “squishy”. The keyboard is somewhat heavy and feels very solid, with just a slight incline which unfortunately is not adjustable. The keyboard features the Mac-specific keys such as Control, Option and Command right where you would expect them. The dark Space Gray design compliments Mac hardware very well. ## Features Wireless: The keyboard is wireless and can connect to your Mac via the small Logitech Unifying Receiver (which still uses USB-A and not USB-C) or via Bluetooth. If you also have a wireless Logitech mouse, you can pair it with the MX Keys’ receiver by using the Logitech Options software. Backlighting: The backlighting on the keyboard does an excellent job of only lighting up as your hand approaches the keyboard, so you can still see the keys in low light situations before you press the key. The lights automatically turn off when your hands are away after a sure period to preserve battery life. Multiple machine support: There are 3 dedicated buttons for switching between devices. For example, you can hit the “Easy-Switch 1” button to use your Mac, then tap the “Easy-Switch 2” button to switch to your Bluetooth-paired iPad, for example. Shortcut keys: There are some shortcut keys for the calculator, screenshot, and options menu, as well as shortcut key to lock your Mac. These keys are located on the top-right of the keyboard above the number pad. USB-C Recharging: Oddly, while the Unifying Receiver needs a USB-A port, the included charging cable requires a USB-C port as the charging cable uses USB-C on both ends. So if your computer does not have a USB-C port, you’ll need to recharge the keyboard with a USB-C wall charger or a USB-A to USB-C cable. ## Performance While the keyboard is very comfortable to use, there is a very slight delay between pressing a key and the action occurring on screen. Therefore, this game would not replace a wired gaming keyboard, but it is fine for word processing, coding, and other non-gaming tasks. With the backlight feature enabled, the keyboard can last up to 10 days of use before needing a recharge. With the backlight off, this extends to 5 months between charges. ## Summary Overall, the Logitech MX Keys for Mac keyboard is a great alternative to Apple’s Magic Keyboard. The ability to easily switch between devices and the addition of the backlighting makes the MX Keys are very versatile and comfortable keyboard to use.

A professional companion to a computer.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Logitech MX Keys for MAC (Space Grey) I’m typing this review on the new Logitech keyboard. I’m enjoying the VERY reliable and accurate capturing of my keystrokes, the best I’ve enjoyed for months. A highly regarded wired keyboard I’ve been using misses far too many key strokes, forcing far too many corrections. This is nice. It’s also REALLY quiet, essentially silent, even to me lurking above it. The full complement of control keys (including the keyboard lighting buttons) makes using my Mac a very convenient activity. SETUP and PERFORMANCE: I’ve been using LOGITECH’s Unifying Control Receiver (dongle) for years. (I only use Logitech’s mice.) I’ve found the connection process to be absurdly easy and bullet-proof reliable. Nothing different this time around. [I didn’t need the provided receiver, because one came with my mouse. You only need one of these to connect to multiple Logitech accessories. The Logitech Options allows customization, but I’m satisfied with the as-delivered setup. This same UC receiver allows you to connect the keyboard to 3 devices (for example, another PC) and switch between them from the keyboard. Once the keyboard is setup, the backlit keys light up the moment your hands approach. Weird but very cool. They automatically adjust to suit changing lighting conditions or you can simply take charge with those keyboard keys. If the battery drops below 10%, backlighting is turned off and you get a screen notice. A USB-C to USB-C charging cable is provided … the charging brick isn’t. C’mon, Logitech. Such a beautifully engineered, full-featured keyboard and you drew the line at a charging brick? I only had the option to connect it to my Thunderbolt multiport accessory, ‘cause this isn’t the typical charging brick I have around. A full charge lasts up to 10 days – or 5 months with backlighting off. I’m not sure how much these estimated times are influenced by my key light setting (bright, variable, or dimmest). SUMMARY: This is a wonderfully designed, attractive keyboard. It looks elegant and matches the APPLE Space Gray perfectly. It looks and feels like it’s carved out of the same slab of metal as Apple’s products. I love the feel of the keys, and especially the 100% reliable key-press capture. The keys have a nice, soft, confident feel to them. Setup was easy. Very easy to recommend.

Beats the Apple Keyboard by a Mile!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Truly Mastered for Mac I am a big fan of logitech. I have used a lot of their products ranging from computer keyboards, mouses, speakers and UE speakers. they are rock solid and just so hard to break!! This logitech keyboard “MX keys” is an excellent companion for your iMac, Macbook, Ipad or even your windows computer. I know that this is keyboard is marketed as mainly for macOS but it works on any windows computer which is 8.0 or later. What is in the box ————————— MX Keys Keyboard Unifying receiver USB-C charging cable (USB-A to USB-C) User documentation Build Quality ——————— Build quality is super just as you expect from logitech product. I have a 3 year old and this withstood some throwing and banging. There are rubberized legs (just like Mac) on the bottom of the keyboard which makes sure the keyboard do not slip when on a desk. There are no legs, which is a good thing because they always break. Because they do not have legs they are already propped up. There is a ON/OFF switch and a type c port which is used for charging. SETUP ———— Setup is simple, there is a unifying receiver which can be connected to a USB port or you can also connect it to the bluetooth connection of the computer and now most computers come with bluetooth you will not have the need to use the unifying receiver, CHARGING ——————— Once fully charged the keyboard lasts 10 days with backlit on and almost 5 months without backlit. i think it assumes that you use it may be 3 hours a day. You can also used it as wired mode, i know some reviewers complained that this is wireless only. This is totally untrue. USAGE ————— Once you have paired and charged the wireless keyboard and connected via the receiver or the bluetooth connection, you are good to go. Typing - One thing i really like about the keyboard is that it is super quiet and a great working from home companion. The fact that the keyboard clicks are so quiet, you can be on a conference call and still be taking notes without muting your phone. I love the feel of the keyboard, lot better than my MacBook Air keyboard. Love the fact that the keys are dish shaped, has a good feel to it. the 2 keys i really love are the screenshot keyboard and the logout button. I love this logout feature because my 3 year old always want to get on my computer and i dont want him accidentally typing on my office computer. Customizable keys - you can download logitech options and the keys can be customized. Backlit - love the fact that the keyboard has backlit and it has adaptive brightness and it lights up when you move your hand over it in a dark room! Brilliant!! Switching - never used this feature but you can switch between 3 different computers by just clicking a button. Overall, i think this is a great product and well worth the price. Why would you get the apple magic keyboard! It does not even have backlight.

A keyboard to improve workflow and comfort for Mac
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Verdict: The Logitech MX Keys is amazingly useful. I never thought a keyboard could do so much. It’s my favorite keyboard, period. It has improved my workflow between devices, typing comfort, and productivity on my iPad. First impressions. It was packaged nicely with some white wrapping paper and looked great upon opening. It is heavier than it looks. It looks nice and sleek. It has an on/off switch on the backside, and a USB-C connector for charging. The keyboard comes with a USB adapter and a USB-C charging cable. Design. The keyboard is laid-out well, with the hot keys and device switch keys easily accessible. The full-size keyboard is a nice change compared to my original iMac keyboard, and actually allows much more comfortable typing due to the extra space on the keyboard. I think I would have preferred the on/off switch on the top of the keyboard for easier access, but I will probably get used to the switch in the back sooner or later. Typing. The keyboard types smoothly and it is comfortable. It also has concave keys that feel nice. I think typing on it actually feels better than the original keyboard from my iMac. While I prefer clickity keyboards, this one is pretty great. The lighted keys come on when your hands get close to it… that’s a very nice touch that hasn’t gotten old yet. The lighted keys are not a gimmick, they are so helpful for typing in low light. Multi-device use. I didn’t know that keyboards could connect to multiple computers at once. That is a wonderful feature that I knew I could put to use right away. First, I needed a keyboard for my iPad, so I connected the Logitech keyboard via Bluetooth and it worked immediately. All the hot keys worked with the iPad and increased my productivity significantly. The keyboard implementation on the iPad is really well done. Then, instead of switching to another keyboard to access my iMac, I connected the Logitech keyboard via Bluetooth. It also worked right away. For some reason, the “launchpad” shortcut button on the keyboard didn’t work, so I reconfigured it on the iMAC settings, which resolved the issue in just a few seconds. Lastly, I connected the Logitech keyboard to my Macbook Pro also via Bluetooth, and again it just worked! Now I can switch seamlessly between an iPad, an iMac, and a Macbook, typing on all three devices with a single keyboard, toggling between the devices at the press of a button. AMAZING!! What an improvement to my workflow. For experimentation, I also tried to connect to an older windows computer. I was not able to connect the Logitech keyboard via Bluetooth (this could be the fault of my older windows laptop), but the keyboard worked fine with the Windows computer when I used the USB adapter. When connected to the Windows laptop, the keyboard worked well, and I could still switch to my iPad and iMac by pressing the device switch keys. Things I love. - The ability to switch between three devices is incredible. It is the most useful new keyboard feature I have used in decades - The lighted keys come on when your hands get close… very cool! - The lighted keys are very useful for typing in low light - The hot keys work really well with the iPad and Mac computers. The implementation on the iPad is wonderful! I am surprised mostly because I didn’t think the keyboard would be useful on the iPad beyond simply typing. With this keyboard, my iPad has become a power tool - Battery life is impressive: 10hrs with lighted keys, and five months with the lighted keys off - Nice typing! Easy, fast, smooth, and accurate - It’s wireless - It also worked with a Windows computer! So you could use this Logitech keyboard to control and iOS device, a Mac, and a Windows computer. Things I don’t love. - I wish this keyboard came with a sleeve, or even a hard case. It would increase the travel potential of this keyboard. Since it works so well with my iPad, I plan to travel with it, but I will have to be careful so I don’t damage it - This keyboard should include a slot somewhere under the keyboard to store the USB adapter. This would prevent the easy loss of the USB adapter, and ensure that you have the USB adapter when you need it. For now, I guess I will store in the retail box The Logitech MX Keys for Mac is a fantastic keyboard. I love it because it has drastically improved my workflow between devices, while providing an overall better typing experience and increased productivity on my iPad. I think I will have to purchase another one for my wife because I’ve seen her eyeing my new keyboard, and I can see the writing on the wall.

Effortless Excellence
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently acquired the Logitech MX Keys for Mac, and it has truly transformed my daily computing experience. From the moment I started using it, I was captivated by its sleek design, intuitive functionality, and seamless compatibility with my Mac setup. The first thing that caught my eye was the premium build quality. The MX Keys exudes a sense of durability and sophistication, with its sleek aluminum finish that perfectly complements the aesthetic of my Mac. The low-profile keys not only look fantastic but also provide a comfortable and quiet typing experience. One of the standout features is the backlit keys, which automatically adjust to ambient lighting conditions. This not only enhances visibility but also adds a touch of elegance to the overall design. The illumination is just right, striking a balance between practicality and aesthetics. Setting up the MX Keys for Mac was a breeze. The Bluetooth connectivity seamlessly integrated with my MacBook Pro, and the ability to switch between multiple devices with the Easy-Switch button is a game-changer for those who work across different platforms. I can effortlessly switch from my Mac to my iPad with a simple press of a button, streamlining my workflow. The customizable function keys are a boon for productivity. I've personalized them to access my most-used applications and shortcuts, saving me valuable time and making repetitive tasks a breeze. The dedicated macOS keys are a thoughtful touch, ensuring a smooth and intuitive experience tailored specifically for Mac users. Battery life is another area where the MX Keys shines. With an impressive battery life of up to 10 days on a single charge, I no longer have to worry about constantly recharging my keyboard. The USB-C charging port is a welcome addition, aligning with the modern standards of connectivity. In conclusion, the Logitech MX Keys for Mac has exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Its sleek design, seamless connectivity, customizable features, and long battery life make it a standout choice for Mac users seeking a premium keyboard. Logitech has once again delivered a product that not only meets but surpasses the needs of discerning users. I wholeheartedly recommend the MX Keys for Mac to anyone looking for a top-tier keyboard that elevates their Mac computing experience.

The key(board) to happiness
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The MX Keys for Mac is an outstanding alternative to the Apple Magic Keyboard with excellent key travel and feel. The dished keys are very comfortable to type on and provide excellent rebound without being loud. I prefer a quiet keyboard but often they provide mushy key feel, the MX Keys for Mac however is practically perfect. The keyboard only last 10 days with backlighting on according to the literature but can manage 5 months with backlighting off. Fortunately it recharges with USB C, as any modern device should. The smart illumination adjusts to ambient lighting and even detects hand presence with a welcoming glow as your hands approach the keys. The Mac version provides the often used option and command keys as well as the default function row key bindings. The MX Keys remembers up to 3 device pairings and features 3 key mappings to these devices to make it easy to switch between them. It pairs easily with bluetooth but also includes a wireless receiver as an alternative (FileVault can delay Bluetooth connectivity). I enjoy using the keyboard with my Macbook as well as my iPad. I was actually surprised how well it works with the iPad, allowing be to be far more productive than using the on-screen keyboard. The function key bindings even work great on iPadOS, a nice feature. Though the Space Grey color compliments some Apple devices well, I was surprised to find the top plate is actually plastic. In fact I think the keyboard may be mostly plastic, though the underside could be reinforced with aluminum but it may just be a composite. Materials aside, the keyboard feels solid and has a nice weight to it lending itself to feel like a quality device. Thought the angle is not adjustable, it is pitched perfectly for me and Logitech generously applied 6 rubber feet to prevent it from sliding around. For portability, I would like to see a version without the 10-key numeric pad but that’s just me. If you are invested in the Apple ecosystem, the MX Keys for Mac provides better a better typing experience while being quieter than the Magic Keyboard. Period.

Smart Sleek Professional Keyboard Upgrade for Mac
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't often use the term “perfect”, but this keyboard is as close as it gets and is a MUST have upgrade to any Mac setup! FYI - It also worked fine in basic testing (no dongle) w/ my Win 10 desktop & laptop, Samsung smartphone, AppleTV, and XBox. Build solid, sturdy, it's actually a bit on the heavy side, but in a great way; likely because of the battery capacity, paired with an elegant finished chassis. The keys, while not mechanical, they have such a comfortable, smooth feel and response - I almost want to replace it with my work keyboard if the IT department will allow it! They are lit exactly as one would want, and is light years better than what came on my $2000 gaming laptop. So far, I have had it two weeks almost and have not charged it once. While I am not using it for gaming, I have put many hours hooking up to multiple devices, web browsing, typing emails, chatting in Discord, etc, and still no idea when it will run out. Being able to swap easily between already paired devices with F13, F14, & F15 is fantastic. Currently, my iMac is primary, then I can switch to the Windows PC, or Apple TV in a flash. No more fumbling with that clunky remote to type! Strange Apple can figure out remotes and keyboards as good as they are for other products. Thank goodness there is Logitech. The smart sensing/auto light adjust feature is cool every time I approach the keyboard and the keys illuminate. It’s like turning on the lights outside at xmas... USB-C is always welcome and this is an absolute performance bluetooth keyboard. The range is very long, not sure what class BT, but it is powerful. Only suggestion, even though I have not needed it once yet, is there is no place on the keyboard to store the dongle on the underside. A little compartment, or slide/snap in are would be handy. Else 10/10 - can only give five stars though :)

Great external keyboard for MacBook Pro
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this keyboard to use with my MacBook Pro (2015) and iPad Pro (2020) when my classes/work moved to online/at-home. I was originally set on getting one of the official Apple Magic Keyboards but watched a few reviews and am soooo glad that I went with the MX Keys. Connecting to my Mac and iPad was so simple and I love being able to switch between the devices with the function keys. The keyboard also feels great, very similar to the typing experience on my MacBook and it looks great on my desk. The backlight is also super useful and a great selling point over the Apple brand competition. I've used it for about 2 weeks and have still yet to charge it. It is pricey, however, but feels very sturdy and well designed.

Best Non-Mechanical, Non-"Natural" Keyboard
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have purchased the Logitech MX Mac a few times over, at a previous job for myself and co-workers and gifted it to deal friends. Everyone loves it. The key feel and travel are good, the key spacing is just right and the construction is excellent. Battery life is quite good, lasting over a week between charges. It takes up no more space than necessary to get the job done right. The backlit keyboards, with a motion sensor are great as well. Highly recommend it.

Better than the Magic Keyboard
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard has a very high quality - solid build. It's weighty so it doesn't move around when you type. Typing feels better than the regular Apple Magic keyboards as there is a little more travel and solidness when you type vs the standard apple keyboard or other membrane type keyboards - kinda similar to a mechanical keyboard but without the need for that much actuation and quieter. Held charge well (even leaving it on) and was easy to pair to Apple M1 macbook pro and air. Only things keeping this from being perfect: 1) angle of the keyboard isn't adjustable - there's no lever to raise or lower the angle 2) its larger than the standard apple keyboard with num pad 3) it doesn't connect to macbook till a few seconds after you login - ie you can't use it to type in your password when turning on or waking the macbook.
