Portable
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love the Logitech Bluetooth mouse I got for my iPad. It's compact, has a great look, and works like a dream—extremely precise and consistently trouble-free. Trust me, it's excellent and definitely deserves a shoutout. However, I deducted a star because I wish it were rechargeable instead of battery-operated.

It’s the perfect bluetooh mouse
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this Logitech bluetooh mouse for iPad. It is so cute, so precise, and so reliable. I bought it because it’s got high ratings and good reviews. Everything people said about it is true. It is a very good very solid product. Logitech makes beautiful, highly reliable products. I highly recommend it. I have attached a couple of closeup photos. Ignore the American flag sticker. It is because I have 2 at home. I needed to add a sticker on 1 so I could tell them apart.

Perfect Bluetooth mouse
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great price, super durable and very easy to connect mouse. The clicks are silent, I keep it in my travel bag at all times. I just turn it on, and it automatically connects to my iPad. The sales rep spent like 15-20 min searching for the only one in the store. Bless her heart. Best Buy reps in Lincoln, NE are so helpful!

A good sidekick for the iPad
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m pretty big on staying productive. That’s why I love my mobile devices and ability to connect remotely to my work computer from home. Apple has done a great job providing mobile devices that keep us all productive. I’ve been continually impressed with how they adapt and upgrade their devices like the iPad. As wonderful as the mobile computing device has been over the years, it has lacked some pretty standard performance options like mouse support. Thankfully, this year, Apple included mouse support with a software update bring the iPad into the next phase of its life. As it turns out, not all Bluetooth mouses are created equal and it can be hard to find one that works well with the iPad. The only requirements are that you have to have an iPad running iPadOS 13.4 and a Bluetooth mouse that complements the iPad — like the Logitech Pebble i345. The Logitech Pebble i345 is a compact Bluetooth mouse that is specifically designed to work with the iPad and its mouse support system. I’ve been using Logitech mouses for years and have found them to be the most reliable mouses by far when it comes to connectivity and use. Connecting the Pebble to the iPad is very simple. The mouse runs off of 1-AA battery that is preinstalled. In order to activate it, you have to pull a battery tab that is sticking out of the side of the mouse. I noticed that my Pebble was turned ‘on’ so before I pulled the tab out I switched it off. When it’s time to change the battery, the top panel of the mouse — the one that your fingers actually rest on — pops off the body of the mouse to reveal the battery slot. When you are done replacing the battery, the top panel clicks back into place. As far as using the mouse goes, I connected it to an iPad Air and thought it worked beautifully. With regular navigation of the mobile device, I found the mouse to be responsive and comfortable to use. The mouse functions seem to go very well with the system that is set up within iPadOS for mouse control. I used the mouse to navigate through several menus and apps, scroll through a news feed or two, and play a card game. I didn’t have any problems with it. The mouse has a very slim profile and I could see my hand having some cramping issues if I used it for an extended period of time. That said, I was playing the aforementioned card game for about an hour and didn’t seem to have any discomfort while playing it. The button clicks and scroll wheel all have a soft, gentle feel to them. The mouse seems to be very well-made and I could see it traveling well if thrown into a laptop bag or carrying case for an iPad. For the purchase price of $29, I feel like this is a good investment. The only thing that would be great is if the mouse was chargeable or if you could even recharge it from the iPad. Other than that, it’s a very nice sidekick for the iPad.

A Mouse Made Specifically For iPad?!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You can check out the video review here: (https://youtu.be/w3qoBNIqGrw) PACKAGING/PAIRING: A lot of times you can tell the quality of a product by its packaging. Which sounds superficial and ridiculous but if you have ever opened an expensive product before, you will know that there is something special about it. This product feels top tier. Its packaging is small and compact and there is no wasted space. The mouse is covered in a nice plastic case to prevent damage. Once inside you will find a pull tab to allow the battery to make a connection. The mouse is already turned to the on position and will immediately go into pairing mode. Then you just go to Bluetooth devices on your iPad and hit connect and you are up and running. The box also comes with safety information and a simple and to the point instructions manual for pairing and replacing the battery. I would rate the overall experience a 10/10. As a bonus, you can simply put the mouse back into the original packaging for travel purposes to keep the mouse extra protected if needed or just inside the plastic case. AESTHETICS/BUILD QUALITY: The top of the mouse is held on by three light magnets. They are strong enough to keep the top on and not allow the battery to come out. But weak enough that you can easily remove it to change the battery. Underneath the top plate you can see the battery, scroll wheel, and switches for the left and right click. The scroll wheel takes a mild to moderate amount of pressure to scroll with. The center mouse button takes mild amount of pressure to depress. Overall, the scroll wheel is one of the better ones I have tried. The overall scrolling is solid but a bit inconsistent at times. Meaning it is jumpy and not as smooth as you are used to on a PC. This does not interfere with usage in any way. This experience is a lot more fluid with a trackpad. But with that said the pointer precision you get with a mouse is better than you do with a trackpad. So, they equal each other out depending on your preference. The left and right click require a mild to moderate amount of pressure to click and are very quiet where people around you will likely not even hear them. They feel wonderful. If you have ever used Logitech mice in the past, they have a very nice click presence and it continues on with this product. Almost as good as their gaming mice. On the bottom of the mouse you have two mouse feet, an on/off button, a pairing button, a blue LED, and the sensor. The on/off button is fairly good. I have seen better with their other mice. It is relatively easy to turn on/off but requires a bit of pressure or the use of a nail. The pairing button is a bit recessed but also relatively easy to press. Right above it is the LED indicator which will not be covered up with your thumb. Which is a nice attention to detail that a lot of products get wrong. When using the on/off and pairing button it is difficult to not press the left and right mouse button in the process. In regard to the mouse feet. They are terrible whether used on a hard surface or a cloth mouse mat. If you move the mouse a moderate amount it makes a lot of noise and is very scratchy to the feel. For most, this will never be a problem since their pointer speed will likely be fast which limits the overall movement of the mouse which resolves this issue. I complain about this because it is loud enough that if you were in a quiet environment and had low mouse sensitivity it could distract those around you. Battery life is also ridiculous. I think they say 18 months. Obviously, I cannot test this as this product just came out. But based on their other wireless gaming mice I have used Logitech is usually excellent in the battery category. The overall mouse feels incredibly solid. Without any creaking or weak points that I could notice. The very top shell of the mouse could break if it were to pop off and bend. But the likelihood of that happening is slim. It is also very small and portable which is perfect. You can easily slip it into a bag or your pocket and be on your way. USAGE: Pointer precision is good. It was able to track on a variety of surfaces without any problems. It is super beneficial when trying to do productive work such as me typing up this review. As I can edit far more easily with a mouse than I can with my finger by clicking between words/letters, highlighting text, and using copy and paste. You add a keyboard and you have a pseudo laptop on your hands. Which for me took my iPad from being a consumption device to a productivity device that I could use in school or at work. But it is not all rainbows. As I have noticed that not everything that I click on will actually work and sometimes I have to use my finger instead as it won’t register the key press. But this is few and far between. Some apps also work better than others. I believe this is due to lack of support for certain apps. Which should improve in time. The gestures for the mouse are simple to learn but feel foreign. To bring up the app bar you scroll down to the bottom of the screen, then scroll further to go home. If you want to check your notification you will go up to the top left and click the time/date. Or just scroll straight up. Last, if you want to check your quick settings you go to the top right and click the Wi-Fi/battery indicator and it comes up. Otherwise you have to use normal touch gestures to navigate. Using a trackpad is better. As it is integrated more with touch and you have more gestures to navigate making it feel more like a laptop instead of a tablet. SETTINGS YOU CAN CHANGE: In the Settings you can control the following: Tracking speed, natural scrolling, mouse (left or right click depending on your dominant mouse hand), contrast, automatically hide pointer, color of the pointer, pointer size, pointer animations (I found the pointer to be more accurate with this setting OFF), and scrolling speed among a few others. CONCLUSION: Overall, I think this is an excellent addition to the iPad if you do any type of productive work on it. Such as typing up documents or creating anything that requires pointer precision. If all you use your iPad for is a consumption device, then I’m not sure how much benefit you would gain from this. But for the price I think it is completely worth it. As the build construction is solid and the mouse buttons feel great to use. It will be hard to find something better in the same price bracket. iPadOS still has a way to go before it fully feels like a Laptop. But this is an excellent step in the right direction.

Essentially flawless PC-style iPad travel mouse!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.PROs: - Travel-mouse sized for easy on-the-go stowage - It's no joke--the mouse clicks and scroll wheel are virtually dead silent--can easily be used in a quiet but crowded setting without bothering others - Quick/simple pairing that you've come to expect from products legitimately "Made for iPad" - Seems to track well on variety of surfaces and materials--even plain/uniform surfaces with little to no tracking features (smooth table tops, fabric seat cushion, etc.) - Battery changes (assuming you need one any time soon thanks its purported 18 month battery life!!!) are mercifully simple thanks to an upper lid that is magnetically held in place--just lift the top, replace the battery, and pop the top back into place - Very pleasant to the touch--not a liquid-smooth surface for a slippery feel, but a subtle, soft-touch textured surface that is easy to grip and hold with assurance CONs: - Travel-mouse sized--so while it transports easily, it's not necessarily ideal for heavy duty use or those with bigger hands. Dashing off an e-mail or tweaking a document or image while having coffee at a sidewalk cafe--sure; everyday use for a content creator or journalist/blogger--eh, I think it might get fatiguing after a while - Not a dig on Logitech per se, they are simply using the iPad's built-in pointer capabilities, but you should know what you're getting into--the grey dot-cursor is fine, but it can sometimes be a little hard to see on an crowded screen depending on the background color; and when you're navigating between icons down at the quick-links/dock bar, the dot disappears entirely and instead the icons simply swell and shrink a bit as you pass over them (note that these options can be tweaked somewhat in the "Settings>Accessibility>Pointer Control" sub-menu) - Customization of the mouse buttons requires some DEEP sub-menu navigation that you may not have ever seen before if you weren't already using a mouse or other assistive input devices: "Settings>Accessibility>Touch>Assistive Touch (turn on)>Devices>Pebble i345>Customize Addition Buttons (press button on mouse)>(Select function from LONG list of possible actions)"...it's not self-evident so it may take a little bit of effort to get the mouse buttons to behave exactly as you want/need Summary observations: Like most things associated with Apple's iDevice-inspired ecosystem, this Logitech iPad mouse manages to marry both form and function to create a nearly flawless, certainly seamless, computing experience you didn't necessarily know you needed. My experience with the iPad has been, by and large, based on direct touch-interface--touching the screen to make things happen on the iPad is very natural for something that is already IN my hands. But there have been rare occasions when I wanted to use my iPad for a bit more desktop/PC-like experience (taking notes at a conference, working on a document that I simply didn't have a chance to finish at the office, etc.) and I even have a Bluetooth keyboard for those rare occasions. But I've been perfectly fine reaching out a touching the screen for "mousing" gestures and actions because that's what I usually did when working on my iPad anyway. This mouse takes the idea of a portable workspace further by providing you a pretty complete, desktop-like experience for people who use their iPads more like a desktop computer. And in that capacity, this mouse really does shine. Once you connect it via simple Bluetooth pairing in the iPad's "Settings" menu, the pointer immediately comes up on the screen and goes to work. I don't know for sure about something like the newer iPad Pro, but at least on my last-gen iPad Air, the built-in Pointer function that this mouse leverages doesn't provide a PC-like cursor per se--it's a [variably-sized] dot that is more like a "finger-tip simulator" to indicate where you would be pressing down on the screen next if you were using your finger. That is, until you hover over text, and then the dot smooshes down into a vertical cursor to indicate the position of text entry--it's actually pretty slick and works well in execution. Additional options for the cursor-dot are buried in the Accessibility submenu and can affect size, color, contrast, and outline of the dot to help (somewhat) with findabiltiy on a crowded or busy screen. The mouse action was smooth and accurate across every surface we tested and the scrolling action up and down is pretty effortless--but, the scroll wheel does provide enough reassuring resistance so that you wouldn't accidentally scroll around on the screen due to a free-spinning center wheel. The click action short and muted--you get enough haptic feedback to know that you've clicked a button, but there is virtually no audible "click" to the switches. This makes for a very unassuming use case where you can operate a lot of controls on screen with the mouse without making a lot of noise doing so. The only other observation I can think to add is that while this mouse works out of the box mostly as you'd expect it to, customizing the Pebble to do *exactly* what you want takes a bit of finesse if you haven't gone spelunking into the bowels of the iPad's Assistive Touch sub-menus before. This isn't so much a function of the mouse's design as it is a commentary on the iOS pointer functions, and what it might take to get you the experience you're after. Honestly, we were REALLY close to passing on this mouse because it didn't seem like there was any way to navigate back to the home screen to open a new app...having the cursor "captive" within a single app quickly frustrated my wife when she wanted to switch because she just had to reach out and touch the screen to bring up the home screen and find a new app anyway. But after I set the scroll wheel's "Button 3" function to "Home" in the iPad's Assistive Touch setting menu, suddenly the Pebble was a great deal more convenient and functional for how SHE wanted to use it. Overall, this is a solid, capable, very reasonably priced, travel-sized mouse that I can't imagine would let you down in your aims to achieve desktop-like mousing performance on your iPad. If you can get past/tolerate the slightly smaller form factor, the style, ergonomics, capability, and usability of this mouse makes for a fantastic productivity enhancement to your iPad-based workspace...definitely recommended!

Nice little mouse for iPad!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.FINALLY! I can use a mouse with my iPad Mini 5! I have a BT keyboard that works, but always had to use my finger to tap the screen. Not anymore! This i345 mouse works perfect. Gives a little "dot" pointer on the screen to simulate a finger tip/arrow pointer. Much easier now with Excel and Word apps (and others). Very easy to connect and use. Small in hand when using, but does the job very well.

Finally a mouse that works for the iPad!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since the release the iPad, the boon of every power iPad user is support for a mouse. For years this has been a frustrating experience for a lot of users especially when office suites came around for the iPad. To add insult to injury, Apple provided first support for a stylus rather than a mouse or a track pad. (Of course, there are the basic rubber tipped styli but I’m actually referring to the Apple Pen here.) Almost ten years later, Apple has officially released mouse support for the iPad. There are workarounds for this, but none as far as I know had native cursor support. Then came iOS 13.4 and mouse support finally became a reality. The Logitech i345 is one such product. Released in 2020, the Logitech i345 is a Bluetooth connected mouse that is price affordably for the iPad. It has a thinner profile as compared to other mice intended for PCs. That said, it is simply a mouse (a Bluetooth at that) that simply works as a mouse. There are really no bells and whistles here save for the fact that it is a mouse. A mouse for the iPad. Now some of you may balk at the idea of a mouse for the iPad, but for the others especially those who use it with a keyboard, this is the one feature they have been waiting all along. So, if you are in the market for a mouse for the iPad, the Logitech i435 is the one for you. I’d definitely recommend this mouse!

Perfect hardware and software implementation
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Verdict: I am sold! I love the Logitech Pebble i345! I didn’t think I would like having a mouse for the iPad… but when using the iPad with a Bluetooth keyboard, it is way more convenient to reach for a mouse than to mess with the screen with a finger. The mouse is simple but it’s all you need, and the implementation is flawless. Initial impressions. The mouse is light and feels like a travel mouse, which works well for a platform like the iPad. Nothing exceptional about the aesthetics… it looks like a small mouse but it feels nice in the hand; it’s not too small and not too big. The scroll wheel action is smooth (not clickity), ultra-quiet, and feels nice. Buttons are also silent, which is nice to use in a classroom or meeting environment. Nicely done! Setup. It’s hard to imagine a better setup experience. The mouse button was already in the on position, and all I had to do was pull the paper tab to allow the battery to slide into place and power up the mouse. In just seconds, the mouse was connected to the iPad Pro via Bluetooth. From there it didn’t work though! I quickly realized that my iPad Pro was lacking the latest iOS update. I downloaded it in just a few minutes and then the mouse came to life immediately. So, if you don’t see the dot on the screen for the mouse after setup, it’s likely because you don’t have the latest iOS. Features. The mouse can be turned off, and probably should be when traveling to save battery life. The battery life is advertised as 18 months, and it takes an AA battery so really no concerns there. It works on any surface! I can now leave my iPad on my desk and navigate the iPad with the mouse operating on the armrest of my chair!! I am so impressed by the implementation of the mouse with the iPad: it is intuitive, the right click is so much easier than long press or force touch, and IT JUST WORKS! Every time you want to use it, it works! Things I like: - Great size… not too small, and not big - Ultra quiet! I can use it in any setting at work - It works on any surface - Setup could not have been easier - Software implementation is flawless - Great range! If you are using your iPad to stream video or slides to a projector, you can use the mouse to scroll from a podium or desk. Range is 10 meters! Things I don’t like: - I wish it came with a small travel case, even a cheap zippered pouch. I would pay an extra couple of dollars to have a hard case so I know that it is safe. In my case, when in my backpack, I now keep the mouse in the original plastic shell it arrived in… it adds a layer of protection. Overall, this mouse is great. I am VERY happy about my first iPad mouse ever. Next time, I recommend including an inexpensive travel case to truly make this mouse the perfect ultra-portable companion to the iPad.

Good device that needs iOS support to be great
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like Logitech products in general. Nice designs, good quality, and highly functional. The pebble checks those two of those three boxes, but through no fault of it's own only gets a small check in functionality. It's small enough to conveniently toss in your pocket or bag and even fits in some tablet carrying cases. It feels nice in your hand and the scroll wheel and buttons have nice feedback. It also tracks nicely on just about any surface. A very important feature because you probably don't use your tablet in conventional settings. It was super easy to set-up via Bluetooth on my iPAD Pro. So what's not so great on functionality? For me, it's the iOS (and apps) that really isn't ready for conventional mouse use. I'm not afraid to experiment with clicking, double clicking, dragging, etc. Some times it was a real asset, and other times I just decided to use finger gestures- particularly in drawing apps. Still, I'd recommend the Pebble i345 because it's useful and will only become more so in future iOS and app updates I'm sure.
