Great laptop. Initially purchased the rog zephyrus g14 but it ran too hot with any game and it developed software issues that wouldn’t allow me to use settings and other applications, and then eventually would not let me in PC. This all happened within a 30 day period so I returned it and got this omen instead. So far it’s been a month and no issues with hardware or over heating. I mainly play overwatch, Cold War, and assassins creed odyssey and al these games look great! I added 1TB ssd, very very easy to install and set up with zero experience...I found out how to do it online.

I came from an old Lenovo that just became too slow for me & purchased a defective MSI GE66 (wouldn't charge) & a Razer Blade 15 (ran hot, fans constantly ran, wouldn't stay connected to WiFi) before buying this Omen 15 & so far I'm satisfied. It runs every game I've thrown at it & the cooling system keeps the laptop quiet outside of playing games. It's screen is blazing fast, it could be a little brighter at max setting however. WiFi speeds are great & despite having a plastic lid it seems durable. Nothing compares to the Razer Blade 15's feel & build quality with the CNC metal frame, but coming from an old plastic Lenovo I'm not hard to impress. The RGB keyboard colors appear washed out in my opinion, but after playing with the brightness levels I was able to get a little deeper, richer colors. I had some issues with the initial setup after purchase, the OMEN center software wasn't working along with some other random annoyances. But, I reset the laptop & brought it back to factory status & all of those problems went away. Cons: My biggest complaint is the OMEN center software, mostly dealing with the RGB keyboard. Having 4 RGB zones, you cannot link all the zones to get them all exactly like the other for a single colored static keyboard. The 'advanced' option to change colors doesn't give you any indication as to where your levels are set. An example would be moving the brightness slider could easily display a percentage, like 35% or any percentage at all. It doesn't. (See picture for reference) When you move the slider on the color bar, it gives you no indication of what the color level you're at. So it's nearly impossible to get all the zones the exact color & brightness without using the basic preselected colors. I've resorted to selecting a preselected color then move into advanced & use the arrow keys & count the clicks in color & brightness to match all the zones to my liking. There's absolutely no reason a user should have to do all that. Adding a link zones & some indication about brightness percentage & where you're at on the color scale would make it really easy. Overall it's a good laptop for the price, they could have put a 144hz or 240hz screen to make it a bit more affordable as the RTX 2060 isn't really going to make the 300hz panel that noticable for most players. Maybe if you're a Fortnite player, you'll get great FPS with the 2060 - 300hz combo as it's not graphics heavy. I'd recommend this laptop based on my experience so far. HP just needs to update OMEN center software to make it more user friendly & not a pain to simply control the RGB keyboard.

Good gaming computer . Starts up fast and keeps up with games. Loud fan and seems a little hot so I had to buy a fan for under the laptop . Keyboard lights up which is cool. Power adapter overheats I ordered a new cord but still same. Only time will tell for a true review it's only been a month but so far it's good.

Purchased this recently and absolutely love it! Handles everything I throw at it with no issues. I’ve used Blender, Unreal Engine, most Adobe CC apps, Cakewalk, and played plenty of games like Fortnite, Spellbreak, Call of Duty Warzone, Dark Souls Trilogy with no issues. My first experience coming back to PC and I can say that it’s a very pleasant one.

HP Omen laptop is a good quality for the price point. It has enough power, speed and RAM for what I need to operate my trading platform, stock scanner software and chatrooms. I would definitely recommend it for others. I run portable monitors with it, a trading platform, trade-ideas scanner software, 2 chatrooms and search all simultaneously. No lag , lots of speed and excellent refresh rates. No problems.

Bought for grandson, I’ll have to take his word for it. Says it’s an excellent gaming computer, very fast and the Nvidia GeForce RTX is a great graphics card. With Intel i7 10 gen and Nvidia, you really can’t go wrong. Computer does run hot so I would recommend a laptop cooling pad.

I would buy HP Omen again & wish they had the 17" at the time I bought mine. However, I found that I could compensate screen size by attaching laptop by WiFi, Bluetooth or an HDMI cord to a Smart-TV. Laptop is very fast...executes command as fast as you can type or say it, whether you are just surfing the internet or playing a game on it. In addition, they added Bang & Olufsen speakers on laptop. I get good quality sounding out of it & love to listen to music while I am working. Screen picture quality is excellent! I highly recommend item and find it to be a Solid piece of equipment. Great specs: Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 - 512GB SSD + 32GB Optane. I enjoy when I turn on the keyboard & it lights up in multi-colors, which you can choose to keep on or turn it of. It's good for night use. The only thing I found with laptop & it's really not a problem, it's more of a want...is the battery life. I wish it could last longer than 3-4-hrs. In fact, I don't think there is a battery out there yet for me. I live on this thing...I mean literally. I found the price was comparable to the market. Overall, I am very please with my purchase whether your Beginner, Gamer or Muli-user. You will enjoy!

Is really good laptop the quality is really good for the price. It doesn't feel cheap at all. Gaming in some games you won't be able to play in ultra Setting but in high you should be fine average frame is between 60 to 120 in most of the game now day 2020 like for example Microsoft flight 2020 I get in average 65 to 90 in most cases call of duty I get in around 90 to 130 in high setting Bottom line i really recommend it im very happy with my purchase the only thing I upgrade was a 1tb mm.2 really easy to do Also the read and write is amazing speed super fast

Good power for the price I picked it up on sale as well. This configuration is pretty good for most games by today’s standards. HP did pretty good far cry 4 on high at 120 FPS steady and Crysis 3 on ultra at 60fps with minimal dips Borderlands 2 uncapped hits we’ll into 200 fps don’t get me wrong the cooling fans we’re screaming. My only gripe is that I bought it and not even 24 hours into ownership I have a dead pixel hard to notice while playing games but at desktop and YouTube very noticeable. I wou

I didn't buy this for myself, however, I did set it all up before giving it as a present. It is "almost" just as good as the HP Spectre that I have which costs twice as much. Keyboard is pleasant to type on. I especially love the colors (3 colors) its laptop provide, very useful and "pretty" in the dark. As for speed, it is very responsive. I didn't try gaming on it though so I can't comment on that. However, I doubt there will be any issues at all. Overall, quite happy with the purchase. Set up was simple.

I Love the look of the omen and it is not as clunky as I feared. It has played everything I have thrown at it. (Valheim, Rust, Fallout ect) It was getting pretty hot and the fan was super loud. A few adjustments to settings through the omen center, a cooling stand and it is now perfect. A mid range prices gaming laptop that doesn’t skimp on video quality, would recommend.

design of this laptop is very sleek with great performance , won't run every game at the highest quality (Ultra and so on) but it will get you to Med-High on anything you throw at it. screen is 1080p but @ 300hz, It's easy to upgrade (RAM and Storage), upgraded mine with 2 x 2TB Samsung 970 EVO Plus and so far so good.

Pros: Great screen, good touchpad & keyboard, nice texture / feel. CPU performance is solid under benchmarks Speaker placement is on top, not underneath. Undervolting is super simple within the OMEN app. Cons: Max volume is low. You'll need headphones if there's any ambient noise. There is no way to enable XMP (Extreme Memory Profile) in the BIOS which is robbing users of performance that the hardware is easily capable of. You can't charge this unit via the USB-C / Thunderbolt port like many other brands. HP wants to make gaming PCs but insists treating users like idiots and denying them access to regular BIOS settings that are industry standards. They could fix this with a BIOS update but they won't. I'm returning this unit since HP insists on treating users like idiots and neutering their products to simplify their support systems while robbing users of performance.

Pricey. However it’s an absolute unit, I would definitely recommend but it’s my first personal gaming laptop so I’m beyond happy with it, this seemed to be the best specs for the price point and can’t find any complaints about it myself. I use it for games and college so it’s definitely dual capable. I paired this up with a curved monitor and a redragon keyboard and mouse. It looks really nice and is so much better than using just the laptop, would recommend to also get those.
