This is a very easy and comparatively quiet blender to use. All you have to do is squeeze the handle to depress the safety switch on one side, and the grey trigger on the other to control the speed. My full-size blender is so loud that I wake up my significant other when I blend a coffee drink in the morning. With this, I don’t have that problem. It does a great job blending everything together in a few seconds, and does so quietly. A couple of things to consider when using this: 1) the cup it comes with has markers up to 3 cups, but don’t fill it beyond 2 cups unless you’re blending something particularly thick; the liquid will splatter out. 2) There is a definite downward force (pulling down) when you run the blender – the blades spinning will pull the blender deeper into whatever you are blending; be prepared and use the attachment to protect your cookware. Overall, this is a very easy hand-held blender to use. I definitely enjoy it.

I have never had a hand blender before and using a countertop blender can be messy so we didn’t blend much besides the occasional milkshake or frozen cocktail. This thing has opened up a whole new dimension. This item comes in two pieces that lock together and comes with a graduated blending cup, a scratch guard that clips onto the bottom that protects your pans, and a charger. The unit must be broken down to charge. Once charged it is quite powerful and has a good pulse in the hand. The battery lasts a long time. While the blender has a two button safety system to turn it on, remember that the bottom end has a rapidly rotating blade that is exposed! Make sure to keep fingers away! Where this item really shined was for my wife who had two molars removed and could only eat liquids. We blended everything you could think of for her while she healed. We couldn’t find anything that this blender couldn’t handle. I highly recommend it.

Just received my cordless KitchenAid Hand Blender and it couldn't have come at a better time. I personally love anything made by KitchenAid which has been a staple in my kitchen for years now. Inside the box came the hand blender which is in 2 separate parts that connects together in a locking fashion, a charging adapter plug, blade cover and measuring cup with lid. I have used this hand blender the last few mornings making my favorite frappes and smoothies, rather than heading out and spending $5 to $7 like I normally would during my morning commute. The KitchenAid Hand Blender is very easy to use. Simply put both halves together and turn clockwise to lock them in place. The charging port is located under the top half. It took about an hour to charge for me and indicates its fully charged with the solid green light on the top handle. Very sturdy build quality and it has some heft to it. Easy to clean, however, it is not to be placed in water. The blade pulverizes and crushes ice and blends everything together very nicely quick and easy. Aside from blending smoothies and other frozen drinks, it can blend everything from sauces to soups.

When first unpacking this blender, my first impression was that this is a very sturdy kitchen tool. It feels durable and well made. It was shipped with a bit of a charge so I turned it on for a quick moment. I was very surprised with the power. I plugged it in to give it a full charge, which seemed to take less than an hour. Our first recipe was a simple chocolate shake. The ice cream I used was pretty frozen solid. I ended up using smaller scoops; the blender didn't have an issue mixing everything well... and making the shake very light and fluffy. We ended up making a few shakes. I didn't set a timer, but the charge of the blender didn't last as long as I would have expected. As I mentioned, we made 3 shakes and then the blender lost its charge... my best guess is that was about 10 minutes. Next time I use the blender, I intend on actually using a timer to see how long it actually holds a charge. Besides that, I would actually recommend this blender. It's powerful and convenient with its cordless design.

Immersion Blender Kitchen Aid has been making small appliances for many years. They didn’t disappoint with this cordless mincer. It’s solidly built and easy to use. The charger easily plugs into any outlet and delivers a full charge quickly. There’s a decent amount of power to cut through some tough stuff. I used it to make ice cream milk shakes and to puree some vegetables in soup (different days!) On milkshakes, it made quick work of the tough, frozen dairy dessert bringing it to a very drinkable consistency without turning it into a glass of cream. Soup came out creamy and smooth. The palm control must be pushed down while your fingers squeeze on the trigger on the reverse side. This prevents it from turning out accidentally when you’re setting it up. It will turm on without the blending attachment connected, but the motor is sunken in the handle so no harm will occur. The blender can also be used with a chopper attachment and a wisk attachment. This item didn’t have the additional attachments. This is my first immersion blender, and I know I can be happy with it.

    Lightweight But Powerful

This Kitchen Aid cordless hand blender works great. It’s lightweight but powerful. It’s also fairly quiet. It charges fast and keeps it’s charge for a long time. It works great for chopping onions and garlic. You can drop them into the included blending jar and quickly chop them up without getting your hands smelly. I have always struggled getting my marinara sauce to emulsify, but with this hand blender it’s emulsified in less than a minute. It’s also great for chopping up fruits to make jam. I even made my own hummus. Compared to using a food processor this is way better, since I don’t have to wash all of those food processor parts.

Great hand blender. Charges quick and the battery lasts a long time. It also has a great safety feature in that you have to hold in the button on the back at the same time as the variable speed trigger switch. Does a great job blending and even comes with a blending container. Easily make pesto or puree your gazpacho base. Also has a pan guard so you won’t scratch your nonstick pans. The best hand blender that I have owned. Highly recommended. Quick charge – 20 minutes Full charge – 2 hours

Nice flat blade design is ideal for the stated purpose of blending soups or smoothies. Comes with the blender attachment, a plastic frame you can clip on to protect the pan should you choose to directly blend, and a measuring cup that you can blend in. The flat design of the head means easy clean-up, since there's not a big pocket of space behind the blades where food can get stuck. The handle is nice and light, and the cordless nature means no worrying about tangling the cord over your mixing bowl or whatnot. My wife has been using this multiple times a day to blend baby food for our little one, and it's been great.

PROS: * No cord! * Very light-weight * Included pan-guard * KitchenAid offers different attachments * Quick charging CONS: * You can change the speed, but not by much * Battery indicator is only a single LED I wish that I could say that this has elevated my culinary skills to a higher level, but lately this has been used primarily for two things: milkshakes and smoothies. I can't really be mad about it, since my kids LOVE how quick I can make their favorite cold treats (especially now that it's the middle of July). Milkshakes and smoothies aside, this really is quite the handy and invaluable kitchen tool. It really does make a difference when it comes to prep time and/or ease for making certain soups and sauces. When you're done using the hand blender, cleanup is really easy. The main body of the blender (which holds the battery) and blender arm need to be cleaned with a damp washcloth, while the included jar can go into the top-rack of the dishwasher. BOTTOM LINE: This is a handy little kitchen tool, and I would absolutely recommend picking it up.

Going cordless is great, but speed control awkward

The blender works well, we’ve used it to make a few different sauces and salsa so far. There's plenty of power and we’ve been pleased with the results. It’s really great to go cordless, especially in our older kitchen where the outlets just aren’t conveniently located. I thought a cordless model might be uncomfortably heavy, but this feels easy to use, about the same weight as the corded model it’s replacing. It’s made of fairly lightweight plastic, but doesn’t feel weak or flimsy. My only complaint is that the speed is controlled by how far you pull the trigger switch. I would prefer a separate dial/knob, instead, as it is a bit difficult to maintain the low speed (in other words, keep the trigger half-pulled) while moving the blender around in whatever is being mixed. Overall, a useful blender. The convenience of cordless and the power and sturdy construction mean that I’m happy with it and would recommend it to others, despite my slight difficulty controlling the speed.

I've always wanted an immersion blender and now that I have one, I am thrilled. Cordless, comfortable and very easy to use, I can't ask for anything more. I would highly recommend this blender to anyone just getting their first or as a replacement for one they already own.

We own several Kitchenaid products including their iconic mixer. It's not always easy to pull out the heavy mixer for a small job. This next-gen product from Kitchenaid is perfect for small jobs, soups, puree and more. I've had hand mixers in the past but they always had a cord. This cordless version is great as you no longer have to deal with the cord getting in the way or splashing liquid or other goo on the cord. This offers multi-speed operation and stainless steel accessories for easy cleanup (even in the dishwasher). The handle is ergonomix and the operation is very intuitive. This is a superior product to less expensive options. You can tell from the look and feel as well as the sound of the motor. This has become a go-to item for our kitchen. We're going to use it a lot!

KitchenAid, it’s a brand so many of us who work in Kitchens either for hobby or professionally. In the week or so that I’ve been using this Hand Blender, it’s been nothing but a pleasant experience. It’s simple to use and has quite a bit of power to blend a variety of things including shakes/smoothies. I appreciate that there was a measuring cup included with a Rubber lid and also a protector for if you’re using the Blender in a pan and don’t want to damage the surface of said pan. It has two speeds on it. The speeds are dependent on the pressure applied to the trigger mechanism. There’s also on the opposite of the trigger a large lock button that unless pressure is applied to it, the blades will not engage. It’s likely not entirely child proof, an actual lock of sorts would be better for this, but it at least prevents accidental operation of the unit. It’s got quite a long neck to it so if you have a deep cup or container that you’re needing to blend in, you won’t have much of a problem. The neck containing the blades is detachable to make cleaning quick and easy. The Pan Protector is also easy to clean and is made of plastic. It snaps right on to the blender head with ease and won’t easily fall off. To charge the unit, you disconnect the Blender portion of the unit and on the inside of the handle there is a charger port. It doesn’t appear to take a long time to charge and also appears to hold a charge for quite some time. I charged it to full the day I got it and have not placed it back on the charger still. It does have a 3 color indicator to show when it’s full, low or needs to be charged. I have to say I’m quite pleased with this. It’s quick and simple to use and makes the need for taking out and setting up the full sized blender unnecessary. Given the KitchenAid quality, I expect this to last for many years without issue. If you’re looking for a nice durable and quality feeling Hand Blender and have relied on KitchenAid or even any other brand of kitchen appliances/utilities this will not disappoint. You certainly won’t go wrong with purchasing one of these.

This item is great. I've used it to make milkshakes to protein shakes. It is phenomenal. It's very easy to use, the fact that it comes with a guard to keep it from destroying your pots, pans, cups, is great. Overall I have no complaints about the item. It's very simple to use, it has a safety switch, plus when it is charging you won't have to worry about it being used, because it has to be disassembled for it to charge.

This hand blender really blew away my expectations. I've only used it with a few dishes, but the speed and ease of use really made mixing things a breeze. Cleanup is pretty quick, as well, but make sure to read through the manual on cleaning. Haven't had to recharge it since the first time, so the battery has a pretty good life as far as I can tell.

So one of the main reasons I got this was I have two toddlers and they want scrambled eggs every morning. This thing makes great eggs. I’ve been using it for over a week and still haven’t had to charge it. Built very well and easy to detach the blade portion.
