Samsung Jet Vac
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wanted the $800 dollar dyson but couldn’t justify spending that kind of money on a stick vac. This one is still not cheap but at half the price it’s a good alternative. The charging dock with accessory storage is a nice touch with the only downside being that you are not able to attach the main vac tube on it when you’re not using it. The battery last long enough to get everything done around a regular 3 bedroom home. I looked at other stick vacs and this one seemed to be the best of them all for the money. It’s considered a pet vac but I do not have any pets and it works flawless so far. Only time will tell if it goes the distance. If it fails I bought the warranty either way. I have Samsung appliances so it fits right in place beside my Samsung fridge.

Cordless life saver
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this vacuum I use it for master bed/bath (hardwood floors/tile) I have 4 dogs so between dog hair and dust bunny’s I put it to use every day. The charge last long enough for my needs. It’s very easy to put on and off charger. My only complaint is it’s a pain to empty but wasn’t a deal breaker. My Dyson is real easy to empty but pain to put on and off charger so they all have pros n cons.

Love it!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall a great, strong vaccum. I like that I can use it anywhere in the home and it’s easy to handle. Doing the stories is so easy now. I wish the battery life was longer but purchased a second battery and so now it’s not so annoying. I can get what I need done on low setting but using high setting will last for 3 mins or so. The strength of this machine is very nice though and my best vacuum yet. The sleek design is nice to keep out and not always wanting to hide in a closet. Ultimately, this purchase was Totally worth it and buying a second for the main floor.

MY LITTLE SAMSUNG VACUUM
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well this was a real surprise!! Watch out Dyson!! This little vacuum is almost fun to use - almost! It is not so heavy which makes it a bit easier to use. Seems to pick up dirt pretty quickly and empties easily.

Light weight and smartly designed
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a member of Best Buy’s Technical Insider Network, TIN for short. Reviewers in this invitation-only program are provided products for the purpose of writing honest, unbiased reviews. The Samsung Jet 70 is lightest stick vacuum I have owned. This is very important to my wife because she does most of the vacuuming in our home. Before you hit that hate mail button please note that my wife loves vacuums and vacuuming – of her own accord. An indication of a good vacuum, for her, is a combination of weight, maneuverability, versatility, and ease of maintenance. The Samsung Jet 70 wins all these categories. Cleaning experience: After cleaning the first floor, which is a combination of hard surfaces and rugs, my wife reported that she loved the weight and the maneuverability more than our previous vacuums. She also loved the freedom that came from being cordless. Swapping out most of the attachments was a snap. Unfortunately, removing the pet cleaning head takes a bit of strength and coordination. It is difficult to depress the latch, hold the motor unit, and pull on the pet cleaner accessory all at the same time. Emptying the dust bin was also a easy. Press the button on the dust trap, pull straight down, remove the filter, and dump over the trash barrel. Over-all, she likes this better than previous stick vacuums we have owned. I tackled the basement. The basement has a combination of tile, concrete, and rugs of various sizes and thicknesses. The basement builds up with the same kind of dirt as the first floor with the bonus of arts and crafts debris. I put the vacuum on medium power and tore through all the surfaces in my basement in about 10 minutes. I noticed two things. First, the Samsung Jet 70 had a harder time maneuvering on rugs than on a hard surface. I believe this is because the brush roller does not double as a drive mechanism like similar vacuums. The thicker the carpet the more difficult it was to control. It was not bad. I could still vacuum the carpet and reach the whole floor. I just had to put more force behind my strokes than other vacuum cleaners in its class. Second, depending on the dirt I was trying to capture, I would have to make multiple passes before the vacuum would capture it. This was most noticeable with the bits of paper left over from craft. In these instances, I had to turn the vacuum up to full power and make another pass. Lesson her is to use the right amount of power for the right job. I included a before and after photo of my rug. Controls: Controls are digital, simple, and conveniently placed on the handle. It takes zero effort to quickly fly through the power settings with my thumb. I do not have to stop vacuuming to adjust power. Press the center button to turn the Samsung Jet 70 On and Off. The buttons to the bottom left and right of the power button will turn the power up and down between Low, Medium, High. Pet hair remove: I am impressed with the pet hair clean-up accessory. I enlisted my rabbit, a jersey wooly, to assist me a test. I placed him on the chair, encouraged him to run around, and then brushed him with my open hand. The chair looked awful when we were done. I then applied the hair removal tool to the chair and started cleaning. The chair was clean in seconds without any leftovers. Please see my before and after photo. Dirt Cup and air filtration: The Samsung Jet 70 contains dirt to the dirt cup. I have owned a few stick vacuums over the years that had superior air filtration systems but the seals around the dust cup were poor; allowing dust to re-enter the room. I do not see the Samsung Jet 70 suffering from this issue. The seal for the Jet 70’s dirt cup is tighter fitting and has overlapping air seal rings. There are two seals behind the filter. This is the part of the dust cup that clicks into the drive unit. The third seal ring is between the dust cup container and the filter. The sub-assembly also overlaps each other which allows for the Jet 70 to have a tighter seal than I have seen on any other vacuum I have ever owned. Samsung is serious when they say their vacuum will remove 99.9999% of particles from the air. This starts with containment. And Samsung did a great job with containment. There were no strange smells in the room after vacuuming. Wall installation/Charging unit: I recommend hanging the charging unit near a power outlet. The charging cord is a few feet long. This will allow you to hang it near an outlet if you do not have room directly next to an outlet. Be sure to attach the power cord to the back of the charging unit before screwing it into the wall. There is no way to plug in the charging until once it is mounted. You could charge the vacuum on the floor. My wife did this directly after unpacking the Jet 70. I do not recommend that you do the same. The Jet 70 is incapable of free standing let alone free stand with a multi-pound charging until attached to the battery. The charging unit has two mounts that securely store two of the three attachments that come with the Samsung Jet 70. The pet hair removal tool does not attach to the charging base. The other two attachments clip into the charging unit using the same snap and secure method used on the vacuum body and stick. They will never fall off. Remove them from the charging unit is equally simple. Noise: The vacuum is quieter than any vacuum I have ever owned. This includes operation at full power. It is quite impressive considering how much air is moving through the vacuum. No lights: Finally, you are probably wondering why I did not give this vacuum five stars. I am disappointed in Samsung for not incorporating lights. One of my tests was to clean the cobwebs from the corners of my home theater. I used the Extension Crevice Tool for this. The lighting in the room is poor by design. Which immediately brought to my attention how useful a light would be in this type of situation. My previous stick vacuums have lights. I did not realize how useful this was for cleaning hard to reach places, and even some surfaces, without lights. Samsung, why did you not include lights to this entire product line!? This is the only reason why I am giving this a four-star review. This is a design miss and I encourage Samsung to revisit lights on next year’s models. Conclusion: This is a quality vacuum cleaner. It is light weight, quality components, and smartly designed (less the lights). My wife loves it. Setup and installation are easy. It does take a bit more effort to move over carpet than other vacuums I have owned. It captures a lot of dirt. Please see included photo for my fifteen-minute cleaning session. It looks and feels like a premium device. And there are no ugly cords to pick up, keep straight, or trip over. If the lights are not an issue for you then I say give the Samsung Jet 70 a try. Thank you for reading my review.

A Decent Cordless Stick Vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Samsung - Jet™ 70 Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum with Turbo Action Brush is an adaptable and useful portable vacuum cleaner that works on multiple surfaces and is suitable for users with kids and/or pets. We will step through the features and usage impressions and then provide some pros and cons for this device. Feature-wise this vacuum is a straightforward device – it is a battery-operated vacuum cleaner. The unit comes with 2 main heads – the Turbo Action Brush and a Mini Motorized Tool. Additionally, the unit comes with a Combination tool – allowing one to easily switch surfaces with the same tool, an extending crevice tool, a wall mount (With mounting kit) a battery, and a Battey Charger. An extension pipe is also included to allow the unit to be used in an upright configuration, or in a handheld configuration to reach all those out of the way places that one needs to vacuum. The main unit has the power/suction settings (min, Medium, and Max), the waste bin (0.8 L / 0.21-gallon capacity), the main motor, the HEPA and cyclone filtration system (rated capturing at 99.999% of dust 0.3 to 10 microns in size) and the battery mount. The unit is rated at up to 40 minutes of run time that depends solely on the combination of power and tools used. The unit takes 3.5 hours to fully recharge. It does come with a docking station that can either be used to mount the unit on the wall for charging and storage of the tools while it is not in use or in a desktop configuration that holds the crevice and combination tools and can charge the battery. The unit weighs 5.73 lbs. and is rated for up to 150 Air Watts of Suction. Usage Impressions This vacuum cleaner is a well-designed and useful tool for one’s cleaning regimen. Since the unit it portable it has distinct uses cases where it has advantages including but not limited to Stairs, Quick clean up scenarios, reaching dusting high places, and the Car. This unit is very useful for vacuuming stairs as you don’t have to manhandle a full upright unit with a long power cord on the stairs – increasing the safety of stair vacuuming while doing a better job because the tools fit better on the stairs. The portability of the unit makes it ideal for a quick clean up use case. The unit’s high degree of portability is also awesome when using the device for dusting duties as it is easier to reach the corners of the ceilings and walls with this unit than a typical upright unit and of course, the combined use of the Mini Motorized tool, the combination tool, and the crevice tool made quick work of cleaning out a vehicle. Summary Overall, this unit has some very nice features. Personally, I find vacuuming stairs much safer using this vacuum than our regular upright vacuum cleaner. The Min Power level is suited for light vacuuming use cases and in many cases on will have to use either the medium level – which I found to be perfect for doing the stairs during testing or Max level and consequently impact the battery life. It gets a 4 on features as well as performance. At the current $349.99 MSRP price point its falls into either the upper end of the middle-range for price or the lower end of the high-range for price. Personally, I find this to be a good device and perhaps worth the price. At $299.00 it would be a steal. Pros: Size, portability, Safety advantage for vacuuming stairs.Acceptable battery life on low and medium settings. Cons: Not as much suction as other brands, the Extremely low battery life on the max setting, the cost is a little high.

Really Enjoying My Samsung - Jet™ 70 Pet Cordless
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am really enjoying using my Samsung - Jet™ 70 Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum with Turbo Action Brush in Violet. This is a very lightweight, cordless vacuum that has fabulous suction power that appears cyclonic as the dirt is captured in the dustbin. The accessories that came with this unit are the pipe, the combination tool, the extension crevice tool, the battery and its wall mount with 2 screws and 2 anchors, the battery charger, a real user manual, the mini motorized tool, and the turbo action brush. So, this comes with 1 battery that is clicked into the top handset and runs for about 40 minutes. The on/off button is right on the front of the handle and there are + and - signs on that button that either add or reduce motor power from mild to max. Obviously if the vacuum is run at the max for more minutes, the less minutes the battery will last. As you can see, the charging unit can be fixed to the wall with a screw, or it can be what they call a "desk charger", and in either case the charging unit is able to store 2 of the accessories that click on when correctly attached. The user can put these attachment sites up as the desk charger or down when attaching to the wall. I really love the fact that the roller unit can be opened without much effort for cleaning, but beyond that it is great that this roller does not take human and pet hair and twine it around the roller bar. In fact, nothing was around the roller bar, so that disgusting and time consuming chore of cleaning your vacuum's roller bar is now a no go, yeah. So what are the pros of this machine? This machine does have great suction power and does pick all up from the floor. The box describes the digital display is intuitive, which it is, because it is up front and very visual with easy + and - signs to either increase or decrease the power of the motor. Next, the battery is easy to slide into place and detach when you need to recharge it, which is quick in time to get the full charge as marked by 3 visible blue lights on the battery itself. I really love that the dust bin and its components are also easily detachable without sweat, but also completely submergible into water for cleaning without disrepair, how easy is that? Oh, I do want to say that I have used all the attachments and the suction and pick up poser in my estimation was not compromised at all. I really do love using that mini motor attachment in small and tight areas that need vacuuming like the floors of your car or the treads and risers of your staircase or other carpeted areas that might be in a window nook or platform. So you ask what are the cons? Well, this unit with its attachments is pricey, but when you look at comparable manufacturer's units, the deal here is that the suction and power of the unit coupled with the fact that the roller on both the main and the mini attachment stay clean is a bonus in my book.

Smooth Operator
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A really nice looking vacuum, and a great performer as well. The first thing I noticed when I started using this vacuum is how smooth it glided across my wood floors. I can usually feel the plastic wheels rolling across the floor on other cordless vacuums I've used, but not this one. It effortlessly slid across the floor with ease and I couldn't feel our hear all the grooves in the floor. Fantastic! The other feature that makes this vacuum stand out is the charger. You can use the charger as a countertop charger so you don't have to screw the charge to the wall anywhere. Very handy for me because the only place I can hide the charger on the wall is the basement, and I get tired of going up and down to get it and put it back. Here's a list of all the pros and cons I found in using this vacuum: Pros: -Simple one button operation. Press it to turn on and off. No need to hold down on a trigger button. -As I stated above, smooth rolling -Looks cool -The dust bin actually comes off of the vacuum. I don't have to bring the whole vacuum outside to empty it. -Enough power and battery life to vacuum my whole house (3,000+ sq ft with hardwoods and area rugs) -Unique charger as discussed above -Telescoping crevice tool. I don't know why this isn't standard on all vacuums. I can really get far under the stove and fridge now. Cons: -The motorized brush attachment could be designed better. I mainly use it on the couch. The rubber brush doesn't extend beyond the bottom of the attachment, so in order to actually brush the fabric, the fabric has to suck up into the attachment a bit. This doesn't work well with stiffer fabrics. So pet hair just kind of balls up on the felt strip on the bottom. -The placement of the dust bin can get in the way when you are using attachments. The dust bin is located on top of the vacuum stem. Usually it comes straight out of the dust bin. It prevented me from getting into really tight spaces, such as under my car seat. A minor design flaw. Overall, a really great performing vacuum that is the smoothest vacuum that I've ever used. A few great design details that set it apart from other vacuums, but also a few flaws. Overall, I am very satisfied and would recommend this vacuum without hesitation.

Very good vacuum, short battery life
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pro: I really like the fact it is cordless, lightweight and has different attachments that interchange easily. Suction is great and it can be compact. Con: The average battery time is 10 minutes when I vacuum on the high setting and 15 minutes on medium setting. Then it goes back on the recharger for an hour to fully charge. So I vacuum in intervals. It isn't that big of a deal. I do like the look of it too.

Satisfied
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really enjoy the ease of using this vacuum. It has a lot of great qualities such as; easy to clean roll, canister, filter, etc. The different levels of suction are great as well. I have 2 dogs that shed fairly moderately and it does great with picking up the hair/mess they make, a long with my girls' messes on the hard floors. It works ok on carpet but not as well as our corded vacuum, but of course, that's to be expected. I did have an issue with the back wheel. It wore down fairly quickly and broke so I'll need to bring it in to get that replaced at least. But overall, I'm very satisfied with the purchase!

Not a dyson
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Other than 7minute battery life on max setting, the machine is light weight yet powerful. The vacuum container is cheap plastic and mine has a duck tape where it attaches the suction. It is not a dyson but you can get other products with same quality in the market at lesser price.

Extremely useful, superior product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing product with top notch quality especially for the price - look and overall finish better than other competitor products I considered. Performance is very good. Battery life not very long on MAX mode (maybe less than 25 mins) but suction in the MID mode is powerful enough and lasts considerably longer. Highly maneuverable; excellent for stairs and stairways.

Nice and comfortable overall
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.[FULL DISCLOSURE: I got this vacuum cleaner for free as a part of a Samsung appliance package deal. I paid $3000+ for the appliances] I've been using this stick vacuum for over a week now and so far, it has been performing really well. The carpet brush picks up most of the debris very easily, however I don't think its the best option for deep cleaning carpets (or for deep carpets). The brush is connected electronically, which is probably by far the best part because my cheap Dirt Devil uses the same motor for suction and the brush. Therefore, the speed of the brush shouldn't affect the speed of the suction. Speaking of other vacuum cleaners, my Dirt Devil had a light on it which helped me see in darker areas, but unfortunately, this one lacks it, despite the hefty price tag. The the main suction motor is plenty power and has three speeds, which are weirdly out of proportion because the highest speed is way faster than you'd expect. Finally, the filter. Its one of the best!!! The 0.3 micron filter really seems to work wonders when filtering smaller particles. As a result, the expelled air is much cleaner than any other 'regular' vacuum cleaner I've used. The storage bin for debris isn't the biggest, but it doesn't really bother me that much. Oh, and about the battery: I can't really tell if the battery life is actually 40 minutes because I haven't used it for that long of a duration. Now I don't know for sure if the $300-400 price tag is completely justified due to a few shortcomings like no lights and no special features. But I'm still loving this vacuum cleaner. Seems like a worthy competitor to brands like Dyson. I'd definitely recommend this vacuum to others, especially ones with certain allergies because the filter does wonders. Samsung got all the basics right. I like that.

Great cordless stick vacuum!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So after using this vacuum for the past week, I'm very impressed with it! I have two dogs, both shed a lot of hair! Especially now that the weather is warming up. Sweeping daily or using the bigger Dyson floor vacuum is tedious. I have carpet, vinyl plank and hard wood flooring in my home and if i don't keep the dog hair cleaned daily it builds up quickly. I have been looking at cordless stick vacuums for a while now and when the Samsung Jet70 Pet went on sale, I jumped on it! I paired it with the Samsung Clean Station, which was also 50% off and now I find vacuuming up the never ending dog hair is a breeze! The vacuum is really powerful and does a better job than my mid-range Dyson vac I paid $350 for a couple years ago. My dogs drag in a lot of dirt and dust from our backyard, too, which this light weight vac picks up with ease. It does a great job on carpets, getting all the dust and dog hair up, especially on high power. For the bare floor I find medium and low are plenty sufficient to pick up dog hair and light dust/debris. Battery life: I was concerned about battery life Werth this vacuum, but after charging from dead a few times after I first started using it, it lasts plenty for my needs. I did buy a spare battery just in case. Run time on high lasts about 15 minutes if that's all your using, but I have run it for 15 on medium and only lost 1 out of 3 bars on the power. Even on carpets, medium power is adequate in most cases. It comes with the long extension pole that you can attach the main power head unit to fit normal use. It also comes with a small power head you can attach to the main body for doing furniture, car, etc. Both power heads work great and pick up everything I need them to. It also comes with crevice tool and brush attachments that work with the extension wand or without. Cleaning: Emptying the canister is simple, as with most other stick vacuums. Just pop off and open the base and empty into the trash. The cup is really easy to clean as well. It's only 3 pieces (dust filter, cup, and plastic filter) and all easy to take apart and put back together. Where this unit shines is the addition of the Samsung Clean Station. I will review it seperately, but to me it was Wyeth the additional cost. The Clean Station comes with a special dust bin you replace on the vacuum and to enjoy it, you just place it on the Clean Station and it sucks everything out of the cup. It uses cycling air pressure to make sure it gets everything and makes this vacuum even better! No floating dust or hair you have to breathe when emptying the cup. Frankly I think this should be a feature of every vacuum ever made from now on! I have always disliked the plastic collection bins on modem vacuums and prefer filtered bags but good luck finding those now and the good ones cost a lot of money! The Clean Station is hepa- fileted and collected everything into a small bag, and it will tell you when it's full and you have to replace the bag. The bags are a bit spendy, but it comes with two initially, and after vacuuming almost a full collection cup of hair and dust every day, after 6 days it is still good. Depending on how big your vacuum area is and how often and how much you are picking up, this could be cost-prohibitive in the long run. For me though, it works great! Overall: Lightweight, easily manuvetable, good battery life, powerful, and additional Clean Station option make this a fantastic cordless stick vacuum!
