This is a great vacuum. I have had a lot of different ones over the years and I would say if you get this one on a good sale you will be very happy with it. I have a large home 5 kids, 4 dogs, and other small animals. We have had this shark 2 1/2 years and it has been abused by my family daily. It is constantly banged into things used to suck up things it shouldn't. I would say it is getting to the end of its life. But again we are rough on our vacuums the brush rolls are worn out and the head is starting to get a little loose. We would fix it but the cost vs just replacing doesn't make sense to me since it's only a matter of time until something else would fail. I would repurchase this same vacuum in a heart beat but their new model brought back the light on the wand handle and that is a big thing that we missed when replacing the last shark we had. For use those little things make vacuuming much less of a chore. This is the 3rd top of line shark vacuum we have had and we have been pleased with all of them. We owned the original Dyson and it was great too but feel that cost wise the sharks are a better deal when on sale. We have also tried the less expensive sharks and there suction is just as good but are definitely not as nice. The feel of the vacuum is cheaper, the head path is smaller, they don't detach as easily. It's like a striped down Kia compared to a Cadillac. They both get you there but when you use it as much as we do making the time using more enjoyable is worth the extra cost.

To test it i vacuumed with my old vacuum, then went over the same areas with this new Vertex DuoClean PowerFins vacuum and MY GOD i can't believe what was stuck in my carpet! (I vacuum every 2-3 days) The power fins are really the next level. It even found some water that was spilled on the carpet 2 days earlier that I was sure was cleaned up and dry! THE NO HAIR WRAP SERIOUSLY WORKS!!!!! I'm so happy :) I have long hair and 1 cat and after 6 uses not 1 hair has gotten stuck in the brush roll. Very easy to assemble and use. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!

I am absolutely thrilled with my latest Shark vacuum purchase, courtesy of my thoughtful husband who snagged it during the exciting, Cyber Monday deals. This gem surpassed all my expectations! Assembling it was a breeze, and its maneuverability is unmatched. The suction power is top-notch. I put it through the shedding hair test – it aced it! This marks my second Shark vacuum, and I must say, it didn't disappoint. From hardwood floors to upholstery and even walls, it tackled every surface effortlessly. Although a tad heavier than my previous Shark vacuum, the trade-off is well worth it for the remarkable performance. If you, like me, deal with shedding hair and diverse cleaning needs, this Shark vacuum is the one for you. It's not just a cleaning tool; it's a cleaning powerhouse that adds ease and efficiency to your household chores! The only regret you will have is, you didn't buy one sooner.

We've been Dyson customers for about 15-years. We had a great Dyson years ago. After it finally died, we bought a new, similar looking unit (Cinetic Big Ball Animal Canister) . Although it looked similar, the performance was nothing alike. We made due with that "new" Dyson for years. Recently, my wife was commenting on how poorly that unit was performing. I could not believe it could be materially worse than it had been. We pitted the unit against its younger, cordless sibling and the cordless unit decimated it - even after a through review and cleaning. So, this is where the story begins for the Shark. I did some research and opted to go with it versus another Dyson. Consider the following: I vacuumed a 10' x 7' area rug with BOTH Dyson vacuums, then I vacuumed with the Shark. Check out the picture attached. That was after just the first pass over the area rug with the Shark! To say we were amazed is an understatement! A second pass picked up a little more. The suction on this unit is impressive; phenomenal to say the least. What is not so phenomenal is how heavy and unwieldy the unit is. The unit is cumbersome - period. What makes it worse is the electric cable management. As much as I derided the Dyson's performance, the act of vacuuming was not so....clunky. The Dyson made it a smoother experience. Regardless, what I wanted in this vacuum was power and that is what I got! I am happy with the unit thus far. We will see what my wife says after a few rounds with the Shark...

The first vacuum that was delivered only worked the first time I turned it on and then wouldnt turn on again. I took it back and Best Buy had another one delivered the very next day which was great! This one has been working great! It has lots of suction, so much so that I cant really use it on my thinner rugs. The vacuum itself is a little on the heavy side but that doesnt bother me. An older person may not like that. Its super cute being pink and its a Shark so I am hoping it lasts as long as my last one did. I love that with sharks you can get into the hoses and compartments to easily remove blockages. With animals and kids that is a must have feature! I gave it a 4 because I had to return the first one.

I purchased this to replace a hoover I had for 10 years that went out on me. This vacuum is a whole new league compared to what I had. The suction is amazing, I vacuumed the living room that I had just vacuumed with my old hoover right before the motor blew and it picked up so much as if I didn't even vacuum at all. It gets deep. I love the attachments that come with it. I also love the power fins because they are self cleaning. In the pics you can see there are zero hairs, and that is after using it about 5 times now. On my old vacuum every time I got done vacuuming I had to manually cut out all the hairs which was very annoying. I got it on sale for 250 and at that price I think it is a no brainer

Absolutely love this vacuum. I had the rotator before this one which lasted for years and finally crapped out and so I did a lot of research looking for the next one. I have two kids and a dog so I wanted something powerful for wood floors, short rugs and furniture. This did not disappoint well worth the money. Only negative thing you could say is it is a little heavy but I kinda like that about it.

It is a vacuum cleaner with excellent suction, it works on all types of floors, carpets, rugs. With its tools you will help yourself to clean where you cannot reach. I love how sofas look after vacuuming them. The vacuum cleaner has a rubber protection around it that does not allow you to damage your furniture. My only comment against it is the weight of the vacuum cleaner, but everything else is excellent.

We had a Dyson vacuum for years prior to this purchase and were undecided for a long time if we would get the same suction power on any other vacuum. We were pleasantly surprised with the Shark Vertex Duoclean. If possible, it outperforms the Dyson. Very impressed!

I have bought shark vacuums since they came out. Excellent suction and the best vacuum for dog owners. I had to replace my shark that was 8 years old due to the brushroll cover breaking and not being able to find a replacement part. I loved that model it had a light on the wand when you detached it. Best feature ever. I love my new apex but why oh why is there not a light on the wand? That's a downgrade for more money. Cmon Shark...what gives? This new apex does not handle transitions well from bare flooring to rugs...constantly have to remember to switch it or the red light comes on which requires a restart to correct. Never had this issue on my previous model. The suction is phenomenal and still happy with the vacuum even for the 2 annoyances. Yes, I recommend this product.

I had seen this vacuum advertised on TV, Pinterest and different places and was very impressed. It came down to where I needed to buy a replacement for my old Shark vacuum and this particular vacuum immediately came to mind. I have been more than impressed with the ease of using the new vacuum, it pushes very easily across our carpeting and wood floors, plus it does an excellent job vacuuming any job we put it to use for. We made an excellent choice!

We have a long haired Pyrenees/Anatolian in the house and 6 people. We require daily vacuuming and average destroying a vacuum annually. We’ve purchased 5 different vacuums in 6 years. This is the first one that works as I want it to. Doesn’t get clogged, easy to clean, hair doesn’t get trapped on the roller. Comes apart easy and doesn’t smell. Does furniture and stairs extremely well. Time will tell if it will last but I’m happy about a vacuum purchase for the first time in years.

My Shark vertex vaccum, is the best! I love it, it lifts away every dust in my floor, my floors always looks best when I used my vacuum. It also has accessories I love the the pet power brush tool that you get is great, on my sofas and other surfaces it deep cleans hair and can be used for debris. There’s other accessories that are great to use on coners, baseboards and ceilings, mattresses, curtains and to use on delicate upholstery fabrics too! I recommend this item!

This vacuum is awsome! Love that the power switch is on the handle along with the switch for carpet to hard floor. I love being able to take off the canister to vacuum under the beds. Plus it gets right up to the baseboards. The power cord is very long. Downside is, its too powerful for people with arthritis. My hands hurt after five minutes of trying to control it. The hose is too stiff and not long enough. If you get close to something that can be sucked up (power cords etc..) they will, get sucked up. There is no light on the vacuum. When the canister isn't on it will not stay on the floor when you pull back while vacuuming. The wand will fall over if you place the canister on the floor next to it because the hose is so stiff.. It will take time to get use too, and its better than the dyson.

This is my second Shark vacuum cleaner I have purchased. It is the best vacuum cleaner I ever had, and it has extraordinary / superior suction capabilities….leaving no dirt behind. Very easy to clean!

Amazing vacuum at $300 on sale. Quieter than I'm used to and very intuitive to use. Feels like a quality vacuum. The only thing to be aware of it that it does pull itself rather quickly when the brush roll is engaged- I nearly ran right into a wall my first time using it.

This vacuum exceeded my expectations! Its sucking power is phenomenal and I was shocked how much it picked up out of my furniture and rugs that my previous vacuum has left behind!

We have a Labrador/Australian Shepard mix - AKA an Aussiedor! Ruckus, the good boy, is a shed machine. Let me preface this by saying the house is always tidy. We run a robot vacuum at least three times a week and get gobs of hair at least three times a week. I vacuum with an upright once a week. And I get gobs of hair then, as well. The vacuum I had been using was a newer Hoover, less than two years old. That is maintained, filters cleaned, and all of that hoo-ha. I was not too fond of the length of the Hoover hose as it was challenging to get to various areas. I ran the Hoover for grins when I got the Shark - Vertex DuoClean. Then I ran the Shark. The pile of Ruckus hair in the photo is what the Shark picked up right after running the Hoover. That is what the Hoover missed! That dog hair is now in the bin where it belongs. Wowsers! The detachable canister is sweet. Reaching under furniture with just the head assembly is groovy. We have had a few Shark products over the years and currently have two air purifiers in addition to the new Shark—Vertex DuoClean. We are always pleased with Shark products; they are a good value, and this vacuum is a good upgrade for us. It looks like the good boy Ruckus has met his shed match.

We had been thinking about a different, more expensive, vacuum and took a chance on this one. It was worth it. We have two cats and live in a dusty city. Even after vacuuming with a different vacuum the day before, the Vertex was able to collect two more canisters full of cat hair and dust. The hepa filter works great and we don’t have any floating dust or hair. Great for me as an allergy sufferer.

Amazing vacuum has good suction and durability. It does a great job at cleaning.I had a minor issue with it and shark was able to fix it for me quickly
