The vacuum works so well, that for the first time we were able to have someone who is very allergic to cats come over and not have any symptoms. We vacuumed the carpet and the furniture thoroughly, we also had a special f HEPA filter running while she was here.

Reliable but temperamental. Everything has to be clicked in place. We got this since we have a shedding dog. It does do a good job it's just a little tricky to turn on sometimes if one of the many clicks/attachments are not in place.

Really pulls the dirt and pet hair out of carpet, compared to my old hoover vacuum.

It was good until it wasn't. I've had this vacuum for 2 years now and used it EVERY-SINGLE-DAY! I have two German Shedders, so it did the job until the past week, it started to short out. I wanted to preserve it (because everything is so expensive now) so I decided to take it apart. What a PITA Shark makes dismantling. Security torx scews? Seriously? Like, why though? WHY?? Most of the screws were already stripped (eye roll). When I finally did take it apart I found that it was the motor. I thought it was the belt because it smelled like burnt rubber. Well, it was burnt something. The motor had come loose and I tried to reinforce it back together but I was unable. It was already fried. I guess I expected a longer life for $320 or I would've gotten the one for $50. Also, the cord. When I would detach the cord to dust, it was short and would pull the vacuum on me all the time so you'd need to either hold it in your other hand or have someone hold it for you. Not convenient! For these reasons, I will not buy another Shark now that I need another.

We are coming from the Dyson pet version which we loved by holy cow are they proud of their product. Our Dustin quit working so we decided to check this one out. We are glad we did. It is a little more bulky than the Dyson but we love the lift off feature. It does a great job on hard wood or carpet. We are very happy.

As with a previous shark given to our daughter, we love the cleaning ability of this equipment. The one major defect to me is the shortness of the hose, or the hose plus “tube”. We have very tall ceilings and fans. It becomes impossible to reach some of those with the length of attachments available. This model has the power on the handle instead of the canister which is much more convenient.
