I was originally going to get the basic large vacuum but a friendly associate in store helped me with this purchase and am so happy I went with a stick vacuum instead, This stick vacuum takes up very little space, has strong suction, and love the look of this, Only issue I had was that this item doesn't stand up on its own. I'm happy overall that I bought this one.

Overall I like this vacuum. It has good suction and does a good job. My one complaint of it is that it does not stand by itself. Thus I always hz r to lean it on something. For that reason I took away one star. Still all in all a good vacuum

We were hesitant about a stick vacuum having two dogs but this one totally blew us away. The suction is great and it glides smoothly across both carpet and hardwood floors. The different attachments make it easy to reach hard places, get in the corners, and is perfect for our booth seating at the table. The kids are loving that you can use it as a handheld vacuum, and who doesn’t want kids that love a vacuum?!

I have really long hair and have a dog who sheds a decent amount. I go through vacuums pretty quickly as my hair tends to destroy them. So far, this one has held up really well. It has a separate collection area for hair, I don't know if that helps to keep it from dying, but it seems helpful!

At first it was working fine then it starts to overheat after like 5 minutes of use and then it started to make extremely high pitch sound that makes my head hurt, worst vacuum cleaner I have ever bought, the store employee that recommended can go f himself

I received this vacuum and have been using it daily since I received it. My wife has a very expensive floor model vacuum, so the night we received it we put both to the test. We have two dogs and I used the Shark Vertex and she used her floor model. I vacuumed half of our home while she did the other half. She put a new bag in the Electrolux and of course, the Shark doesn’t need a bag. We were both shocked with the results, the Shark was more effective in picking up the dog hair and other debris on our floor, which is all hardwood. The bristles on her vacuum were “clogged” with dog hair, while the rubber “bristles” never had any tangled hair. I know we wasted a brand new bag, but I was wanted to do an even comparison with how well they both picked up the debris. I was astonished with the results. The Shark had far more hair than the WAY more expensive floor model. And it took my wife several minutes vacuuming, cutting, trying to get the tangled hair off of the bristles. The Shark is a very light, very maneuverable, and powerful vacuum. The included attachments make getting into crevices very attainable, upholstery cleaning a simple chore, and the attached power cord is more than enough to cover large distances and when finished wraps pleasantly around the Shark. The cleanup is simple, push a button, and all the debris is emptied within seconds. If you need a simple but powerful vacuum, don’t hesitate to purchase the Shark Vertex Ultralight!
