Very disappointed in cooking results. Instructions are a little confusing. Ruined some very expensive steaks by following instructions to the letter.

I’m thrilled with this Ninja Smart XL 6 in 1 indoor grill. I’ve used all of the functions except the dehydrator function. I find myself referring to the grill and air crisp charts in your pamphlet quite often but it is all so easy to use and the meals have been delicious! Easy clean up too.

This grill is a great addition to the kitchen. If you want to grill a steak or take frozen chicken to the table, this is the way to go. I’ve tried making a steak with the thermometer, and it turned out perfectly. You ask for medium, you get medium. And this was without any smoke filling the room. I’ve made steaks with a cast-iron pan and the oven and end up filling the room with smoke, but this was much easier. The grill beeps and tells you when to flip the steak, and again when it’s done. It couldn’t be easier. I’ve also tested their claim that you can take a frozen chicken breast to being totally done in 25 minutes. This claim is absolutely true. In the instructions they say that it can take up to 25 minutes, which I can say is correct for a thicker breast at about 1.25 inches thick. I did two at the same time, and the thicker chicken breast was done perfectly at 25 minutes, the smaller breast was a bit overdone and tough. I imagine I’ll get used to the timing with more use. Some additional information I’d like to give: 1. Preheating takes about 10 minutes, so if you’re timing your dinner, take this into account. 2. The non-stick grill pan is definitely non-stick. I take it out, brush it off and put it into the dishwasher without any issue. 3. The accessories are definitely machine-washable. I’ve put them into through the washer a few times and they look like new. Unfortunately I haven’t had the occasion to use the air-fryer function yet, but I’m looking forward to trying it out. :)

Ninja has scored a winner with this six-function indoor cooker. It grills, air fries, roasts, and more. Right out of the box, you can plug it in, and it is ready to cook. That said, be sure to wash the cook ware surfaces first. Secondly, be sure to carefully read at least the instructions for whichever function you are going to use. If you do that and follow the instructions, you are pretty much count on a successful outcome. I say “pretty much” because you will learn to adjust the outcomes for your taste. The meat thermometer that comes with the cooker is a key element in ensuring a good outcome with meat. There are clear instructions regarding thermometer placement, proper use, and care. Treat it right and it to be a good cooking partner. My first use was to grill three small steaks, which are what the grill size accommodates without crowding. By properly inserting the thermometer and setting the cooking instructions per the manual, I turned the cooking over to Ninja. For a first-time effort, I was not disappointed. The steaks were done to a pink center, with no muss or fuss. Also, I learned what adjustments I would need to make if different doneness levels were wanted. I already have an air fryer that I really like for French fries. Using the Ninja and following the instructions, I got excellent crispy fries with the first effort. No adjustment needed, and it is quicker. Vegetables are grilled well. Depending upon the vegetables and how crisp you want them, it may take a couple of times to get them to your taste. After the cooking implements have cooled, cleanup is easy. I use warm water, Dawn, and either a non-abrasive cloth or the provided brush, and it is done in minutes. As good as this grill is, it falls a bit short of perfect. It is bulky and heavy, so storage may be an issue. In addition, the grill itself must be stored separately when the cooking pot and crisper basket are in the cooker, or vice versa. This, to me, is enough to cost 1 star for what is otherwise a 5-star cooker. There is a lot to like about this Ninja smart cooker, and I am pleased overall with its ease of use, almost spot on suggested cooking times, and prep/clean up ease. In many ways, it is cooking simplified.

works great. so far only been using the air fryer and the grill setting. both work great. My only complaint so far is that this is the XL but it feels small. can only cook 2 hamburger patties (Walmart ones that are in the bag). and even the air fryer basket it kind of small. great for 1-2 ppl. it cooks fast though so that is nice. if you want grill marks, make sure to preheat prior to using. the grill part for the grill marks are curved as well. we have been using it inside and it has not set off our smoke alarm detectors yet. we also have a plug outside so have taken it outside. we live in a apt so we are not allowed to use a charcoal or gas grill. so this is a nice alternative. just like i said, wished it was big to at least to 4 burgers on. to me, it feels kind of like a George Forman/grill mix. like a in between. why a 4 star. One reason like i said, for a XL version, the machine itself is big but the grill plate and air fryer is small but it cooks pretty fast so just have to make food as you go. and the grill plate is curved as far as the grill marks go. so hot dogs was not as easy to just sit and place between the grill marks. and the power cord is ok length but would have loved it a bit longer. and yeah it does both air frying and grill but at least for me, i would love to have it somehow do both. be nice to make fries while cooking a burger. (this is not a reason i gave it 4 stars) but overall, love ninja products and i love this grill. great grill for indoors if raining outside. and if nice outside, great to take out and cook on as well. will get lots of use from my house.

At first look, I couldn’t wait to use it. I tried burgers first. I used frozen patties, my first hiccup with it was trying to put the thermometer in the patty. Without it, it will not start. My first go around once I got the thermometer in, it didn’t work how it was supposed to. It said the patties where done but they were still frozen in some areas. I had to put it through again, which still didn’t cook them to well done as I wanted. And since the thermometer was telling it that the patties were cooked it wouldn’t start anymore. I had to finish them on the stove. Which was extra work. So that experience was not good at all. Clean up was simple. I like that they included the brush to make cleaning easier. One thing I did like is that it was really smokeless. Some indoor grills claim that but it doesn’t always work. I also tried fries, it wasn’t all the way evenly cooked but the ones that came out crispy where good. This is a pretty big and heavy machine. All in all it’s useful.

Love love love this. I cook everything on it. The grill option is my favorite feature and the thermometer works wonderfully. I kept seeing a commercial for it and so I had to have it and it’s been my favorite purchase to date.

I love my Ninja Grill. I use it just about everyday and for everything. Makes the best chicken wings. I make homemade pizza all the time. Cooks burgers and steaks perfectly! You would never know this wasn't an outdoor grill. Makes the best bacon. There is hardly any smell or smoke in the house either!! I only wish they made aluminum trays because cleaning can be a pain especially with bacon or burgers. My kids love tator tots and french fries cooked in here.

Without a question, the foods are quite dry. = = = = Have a counter top toaster/oven with a “broil” feature. Steaks emerge in one-half the time and are juicy. My toaster/oven preheat for broil is 3 minutes vs. 10 minutes for the foodi. In my toaster oven I can bake salmon in 8 to 9 minutes with two minutes of preheat. Basically, I can prepare some dishes in the time it takes the foodi to preheat. = = = =

This grill is amazing. Your food will be perfectly done to your liking and it’s very easy to use. I would definitely recommend everyone to buy one.

I already owned a ninja foodi pressure cooker. Bottom line is that these products are more than durable and cook almost any food items perfectly. You couldn't possibly want more from any brand.

They gave me this as a Christmas gift. Best thing ever ypu can make almost anything in it.

Absolutely love this XL Ninja Air Fryer/grill. It’s large grill holds 5 big pork chops.

I love thissss. It makes cooking fun fast and easy!
