Its quite remarkable how well this can create a map without the use of cameras. I dont like the idea of having a camera on wifi going around my house. The learning curve for the robot is about 3 days, about a week for me in terms of figuring the device out. People are having problems that are easy to fix. A little time on youtube helped me learn how to clean the bag full sensor which is a common problem. Wise words of advice are take care of your machines because they take care of you (cleaning the bin is easier than cleaning the whole floor) It gets tons more dog hair out of my carpet than i ever have without ever clogging (husky german shep mix) but the bag does get full quickly. Id be very interested in a reusable bag since i used 3 in the first week which is pricey. Seems like a way for the company to generate more profit, i get it. A small hook can help you pull the hair out of the bag to keep reusing it. All in all this robot has massively improved my life and is worth every penny. Fixing its small issues is much less time consuming than actually vacuuming the entire house yourself daily. This model has the same brushes and motor as the higher end ones!

Honestly this is very useful especially if you ever think you're gonna be lazy or just don't want to always clean up or or you're very busy this is very convenient and does everything you need to do yes it's not perfect there's way higher end models that do an amazing job, But the price to performance especially if you get this on sale it's really good does exactly what you need it to do it gets around corners yes it does sometimes get caught on cables but most of the time it doesn't, pretty good job and sometimes can go around it or over it, The reason why these rumbas specifically do a better job it's because of the bottom has 2 rollers to Collect any dirt then regular vacuums that have one single roller, And if you're wondering about animals it does just fine if you have a dog that sheds a lot more that has very thick hair you might need to change the bag every so often maybe once a month if not it could probably last up to 2 to 3 months for one bag depending on your floor how dirty it is not bad for price, Esthetically it looks pretty good it looks modern and even on tight little corners wherever you set the home at it's pretty easy to use on the app and Can find itself to go home when it needs to empty the bin and continue its job even if you put it in a corner, Hopefully this helps somebody out there! I should've bought this roomba way earlier. Works like a charm and does what you want it to do. Easy to use and set up. It maps your home and updates itself with every clean so if you need certain room cleaned, it'll get the job done fast and effectively. The Roomba itself is quiet, the only noisy part is when the Roomba is dumping all the dirt collected into the base, and even then it's only for a few seconds. It also pairs with Google Home and Alexa to make things even easier for you

I love finding good gadgets that helps me maintain our home to keep thinfs clean and alsp easy to use! Any machines still yet dan not perform like person actually vacuuming but it def hells me so much to maintain the house to keep it clean between each vacuum sessions thst i do and i love how it cpnes with self emptying tower so it saves me tome too! So far im very happy! Especially for the money i have tried more expensive ones yet to not clean as well so i returned it but this one is a keeper and our new helper!

It is pretty good. If you watch it, you will scream at it as it misses stuff you would get if you were in charge. It gets lost nearly every time. This vacuum seems like it is designed to vacuum empty rooms because it has trouble with chairs and tables. The app features are really nice. It is nice to start vacuuming while you are out. I like that I don’t need to spend a lot of time emptying the unit. I’ve had a roomba before and it performed about the same. You need to make sure the floor is clear of clutter. Legos are really hard on the vacuum. It really does work to keep your floors dust free. Where it vacuums, it isn’t dusty.

I have had the machine for about 2 months now and I have to say already I am glad I spent the money. I don’t have to vacuum manually so I can spend that time doing other things. I guess people like pros and cons. Pros, less work and less strain on my back. My floors are always cleaner than they have been. The machine is quiet enough where it doesn’t bother anyone while doing other things. The auto empty is worth the extra money, but watch the sales as I got this one on sale. I’m sure it wasn’t much saving but looking right now the machine is $100+ more. Cons. Round machine doesn’t fit in a square corner. I still have to sweep out corners and in other places like under the table (chair legs makes it hard to navigate, but I also live in a small space). Battery charge is not the best. I can only fun it once a day. You really need to keep the floor clear. I have small children and nerf darts, socks, etc like to get caught up in the rollers. Over all I am satisfied. It can get under the bed and rolls over carpets pretty well. You don’t need 3-4 feet on both side. Mine has a foot on one side and a few inches on the other and it gets home without issue. I brought this based on the brand name as my second robot vacuum. Also, it’s advertised at 60 days hands free cleaning which is false. I’m fairly dissatisfied with this product. Considering it costs $300 more than the product it replaced I would steer clear. I’ve had it for 6 weeks. I have this set to clean 4 times a week when I’m regularly not home. I always pickup the floors before it cleans to avoid entanglements. I have to pick it up and put it back on the charger 3 times a week. It will get stuck on my guitar stand which is against a set of blinds for a sliding glass door. It gets stuck under the couch which is clearly lower than the top sensor on the device. I’ve had to remap my apartment several times. This evening just to see what happens I had it clean the area it missed in an earlier clean. It kept circling and pointing at the same spot on a wall for about 5-10 minutes and burned through a lot of its battery doing this. Positives: The self clean base is pretty good. The app is easy to use Setup was easy Negatives: Expensive Gets stuck way too easily compared to cheaper competitors. Louder than cheaper competition. Does not clean in rows. Does not have the option for no go zones which the cheaper competition had.

Love this smart vacuum. Was worried with having a dog the vacuum would not fully clean my home but I am really amazed. I have it run once a day and it dose a outstanding job. I love the fact it has a smart tracking feature and shows me where it was and where it had to spend a little more time with a deep deep cleaning feature. It will not fully replace your standard vacuum but will make it feel very obsolete only needing it for places the iRobot i3+ cannot reach. The vacuum is nice and quiet but still able to retain amazing suction the loudest part about this device is when it empties it’s self and sounds like a jet taking off I may be exaggerating a little but it is loud. With a sales tag this Black Friday of $399 without a doubt was worth it. It may not be as smart as the i7 with the room mapping but again at that price worth it. In conclusion this is one of those moments when I actually asked myself why didn’t I get this sooner.

First I'll say I did not pay full price, but got on a 'daily deal' The robot mapped out 2000 sqft with surprising accuracy, and connects to my smart home. "Hey Google, vacuum the kitchen" is so great. But we also have different rooms scheduled each day. Only complaint is that you can't set any 'no zones' and it still occasionally wanders into my office and laundry room where it gets trapped on obstacles.

Mother’s Day gift for my wife and this has been one of her favorites by far. It’s controlled by app, you can set times for run partial areas or whole house and the best part is when the device emptied the dirt all by itself. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I had my doubts at first, not anymore. I plan on buying another for my parents. Best part is naming my device Clean Latifah

The iRobot i3+ was one of the best purchases I've made this year since moving into a new, larger home. It does an amazing job at keeping the floors clean while giving me a break. With 4 pets in the house, I was vacuuming every other day and I could see the light hair on the dark wood floor from far away. Now I don't even have to think about it and the floors are always much cleaner. I would like to add that my cats love following the iRobot around the house when it's working, so it's a great source of entertainment for them, too. :D

Very easy to set up with the app. Works very well and has helped tremendously with the dog hair.

I have a Dyson V8 upstairs, Dyson Canister Downstairs and just added this iRobot downstairs as well. I have 2 Huskies so it really helps to leave the main area that collects the most hair during shedding season clean. Obviously it can’t vacuum couches and it doesn’t seem to like to go on my high-pile rug in the family room but that’s okay. Haven’t had to buy any additional dust bin bags yet - so far so good. Also really like that it connects to Google Home as I have a lot of home electronics linked through that. Lastly, wait until it goes on sale so you save $250 off the price like I did. Would definitely recommend spending the extra money for the self-emptying models. Otherwise it defeats the purpose of buying something that is supposed to work on its own. But that’s just my 2 cents!

We have a Dogo Argentino puppy who is shedding like crazy. Now I’ve owned my fair share of big dogs but have never had this much shedding with any of them. I run this roomba 3x a week at night while we’re asleep and then the night before I do the floors just to save me some time. We have travertine floors and a 3500sq ft house. I just did the weekly maintenance on the device and you can CLEARLY tell it’s working. It’s even picking up my hair, my daughters hair and my sons girlfriends hair. It’s also been raining so the dog tracks in so much dirt. Trying to convince my husband to be me the mop device now! Lol You won’t regret buying this. We do have two area rugs that it goes over and it isn’t the best on the rugs when it comes to the dog hair but is works for the crumbs my 4 year old. I’ve been trying to convince my best friend to get one. She is like me and has a pet peeve about dirty floors. Once the vacuum bag is full I plan to cut it open to really see how well it’s been working but I can tell by looking at my floors that it’s a game changer! You do have to buy vacuum bags and filters. I just had my husband blow the filter off with our air compressor and it looks brand new. If you keep up with the maintenance I think it will last you much longer. The add on’s aren’t expensive tho.

Recently upgraded to this from a Shark robot vacuum. It's a night and day difference it cleans so much better and more efficiently in rows rather than bouncing off everything and the self emptying base is a game changer. Other than the app being down the day I purchased it I have zero complaints!

What a neat device! Named mine Jarvis. The docking and dumping station is cool. It does a good job sucking up the dirty stuff. It gets pretty loud when it dumps itself into the dock.

I could not be happier with the product. It was a splurge. My iRobot name is Rita. She mapped the whole floor area after a two separate passes. She occasionally bumped into furniture while mapping but it wasn’t aggressive. Eventually I would dim the lamps, overhead lights and watch it shine the flashlight brighter and brighter to be able and see the area. After a couple time it began learning the area and would remove itself from the base and take off. When it approached an object it will slow way down and just as it is within inches it gentle touches the object and final learns to avoid it all together and move around it. A perk to me is the mapping. You are able label rooms and even set some spaces as off limits, so no closing the door, etc. A great thing for me is it works with Alexa and my phone. Alexa, tell Rita to clean the house. I still get a charge out of that. Oh, one last thing. I’ve seen reviews that read when docking and disposing of dirt the vacuum should like a turbine engine. Not to my ears. I hear something along the realm of a shop vac. I get around hearing that by scheduling cleaning while I out. I’m sure you’ll enjoy the purchase as much as I do.

We decided to upgrade our older iRobot Roomba series e the new i3 with the self emptying docking station. This new iRobot is much quieter, much more scientific in how it maps the room , and never gets stuck on corners or other hang ups. Its a huge time saver and practically does everything we need , including emptying it's own waste into the bag located in the docking station. Great Upgrade !
