This carpet cleaner has been a game-changer for me. I am constantly dealing with messes and stains on my carpets and furniture. This product has made cleaning up after my pets or clumsy humans much easier and more effective. The machine is incredibly easy to use and lightweight, making it simple to move around and reach difficult areas. The cordless design is also a huge plus, as I am no longer tethered to an outlet while cleaning. Not having to find a nearby outlet also means that I can clean hard-to-reach areas without any hassle. I can use it on stairs, upholstery, and even in my car without any issues. It's just as easy to clean the machine as it is to use it. The tank and nozzle are easy to clean, and you can easily refill the cleaning solution from the top without lifting the tank. My only complaint is the battery life. I had to charge it again after 10-15 minutes. But this machine was for spot-cleaning, not for large areas, so I understand. Overall, I highly recommend the Bissell Pet Stain Eraser Carpet Cleaner to any pet owner looking for an effective, easy-to-use cleaning solution. It has made my life easier and my home cleaner!

When you own pets, you inevitably have messes to clean up. We’ve had our little terrier for a year and half now and while he is housebroken, he still has the occasional accident. When that happens, we do our best to clean it up as quickly as possible, but even after using a stain remover and scrubbing with rags, sometimes that’s just not enough to thoroughly clean the carpet. For times like that, you need a machine like the Bissell Pet Stain Eraser. The device is a portable carpet cleaner that is designed specifically to clean up pet messes. It has a rotating brush and it’s rechargeable. The cleaner is reminiscent of old hand-held vacuums that I used to use to clean my car out. Its compact size makes it ideal for picking up at a moment’s notice to clean up accidental spills. I’ve actually had small carpet cleaners that are meant to serve a similar cleaning purpose, but they are much larger and not as easy to handle. The cleaner comes with a power cord to recharge the unit, two bottles of cleaner, and a pet tool that can be swapped out with the rotating brush. Out of the box, the cleaner has some charge to it so you could potentially use it right away. It is suggested that all instructions are read before using the cleaner for the first time. The first step is to charge the cleaner. According to the manual, it takes up to 4.5 hours to fully charge the battery. Also according to the manual, a fully charged battery will get a user approximately 20 minutes of continuous cleaning time. I think I might have got right under the 20-minute mark. There is an LED indicator on the handle just beneath the power button that shows how much power is available. I do want to note that this cleaner is designed as a ‘spot’ cleaner. It’s not meant for cleaning full rooms - just spots on carpets and furniture. This cleaner has a multi-step process. The first step is to spray the spot with the cleaner and then you place the nose of the cleaner on the spot and move the cleaner back and forth over the spot allowing the brush to scrub the area. Once it’s been thoroughly scrubbed out, you will move the suction channel over the area to remove the cleaning solution from the carpet. After the cleaner was charged, I opened one of the bottles of solution and poured it into the formula tank. One bottle completely fills the tank. The cleaning solution is premixed so there is no need to add water into the formula tank. The first place I tested the cleaner was in our office. We have a spot where there is some carpet tape residue leftover from an old chair mat. The spot has collected dirt thanks to the residue so it seemed like the perfect opportunity. I first sprayed the spot with the solution and then used the rotating brush to loosen the dirt in the area. The suction channel showed the foaming solution being sucked into the dirty water reservoir. While I believe the suction of the cleaner did a good job pulling the surface foam off the top of the carpet really well, but as far as the carpet being dry after cleaning it, that wasn’t the case. The carpet was still very damp. And while it seemed as though a lot of the dirt was cleared away, unfortunately, the sticky residue was still stuck to the carpet. Next, I moved to a spot that was on the arm of our couch. The instructions tell you not to use the machine on its side. The spot on our couch was in a strange place and I ended up having to clean at an angle. The spray and the rotating brush still worked to clean up the spot, but the suction wasn’t able to pull up any of the solution. As luck would have it, while I was in the process of completing these two tests, our dog snuck off and urinated behind a chair. Thankfully, because the cleaner is so compact, I was able to get behind the chair with it. First, I used paper towels to soak up the bulk of the urine and then I used the cleaner to remove any leftover odor and residue that might have been left behind. It seemed that the cleaner did a good job of that, but once again, the carpet was still damp even after several passes of the suction. For years I’ve had the unfortunate job of cleaning up after animals in our home. It’s been a difficult job, but that’s now been made easier with this cleaner. I’ve been happy with how it has performed even though I wish that it would suck up more of the cleaning solution so that the carpet wasn’t as damp after a cleaning.

Let you tell you, the name is perfect for this handheld carpet cleaner, but the only thing I would add to it would be KIDS/PETS Stain Eraser. This is an awesome handheld and cordless carpet cleaner. Just today as I was writing this review my kids spilled ketchup on an area rug and this cleaned it up like it was never there. I have been using this for a few days now cleaning up some spot and stains left behind by my cats and kids and it has been working flawlessly. You do have to back and forth a couple time on the stain but it does the job well and it is portable enough to use anywhere such as your vehicle, furniture and to immediately pick up spills and stains. With two little kids and cat this has been a life saver is cleaning up spot stains. Now, lets go over some of the specifications and features of this Bissell – Pet stain Eraser Powerbrush plus. Features- -Easy fill and empty containers -Cordless -Powerbrush -Lightweight - 3 in wide cleaning path - 8.5H x 5.7L x 16.5W Pros- -Good suction -Powerful brush roll, although I do wish that the brush would stick out a bit more to get in deeper. -Lightweight Cons- -Run time is only 20 minutes I honestly believe in my opinion that this is a must have in every household with kids and pets to remove everyday stains on carpets, upholstery and even in your car.

Convenient to Use on Daily Messes

The Bissell Pet Stain Eraser Powerbrush Plus is a battery powered carpet cleaner aimed at clearing up small messes, spills, or stains from carpet or upholstery. Obviously the name points towards its use with pet messes as well – which my dog was happy to assist with. In the box you will find the main vacuum unit, 2 bottles of cleaner, the charger, and an additional pet scrubber attachment. The main unit has a brush/beater bar attachment already installed. The carpet cleaner has a removeable waste water tank that was already in place. The only thing to do was charge the cleaner before first use. A full charge takes 4.5 hours to get a max runtime of 20 min. Using the Pet Stain Eraser is fairly easy and straightforward. I started out with the powered brush roller to work on some recent stains my dog left – eating a stink bug did not agree with him. I filled up the solution tank with the included cleaning solution. The included solution is a couple of 8oz trial size bottles of Bissel Pro Oxy Spot and Stain solution. The solution tank holds a full 8oz bottle – which should be plenty for most spot cleaning jobs without needing to refill. Turning the unit on starts the beater bar and powers the sprayer button. First step is to spray the stain – since mine were dried I let the solution set for a few minutes. My carpet is a medium pile and the stain is older, so I didn’t think the scrubber bar would be appropriate. A fresh spill or mess the scrubber bar would be useful. I went back and sprayed again before scrubbing the spots. Once you press the beater bar into the stain the suction head starts pulling up the solution out of the carpet. I cleaned each spot for about 30 seconds while running the cleaner back and forth several times. The spots themselves looked pretty good, and it appeared to get everything out of the carpet. However, the spots were still pretty damp so I ran the machine over it again to pull more of the moisture out of it. I never got quite the amount of moisture out of the carpet that my large cleaner does, but it doesn’t do too bad. I had a couple other spots from my kids and my dog to clear up, but they were all in upholstery, so I decided to use the scrubber. I had some dog drool spots to clean in a couch and kid messes in my car to clean up. The scrubber worked well to lift those spots out of the fabrics. I didn’t have to do a ton of scrubbing to lift the spots. The only thing that was difficult was the orientation. You have to use the cleaner (per the manual) in an upright or laying flat position. Using it on upholstery or in a car means sometimes you can’t orient the cleaner to get the spot. Not something I ran into, but it could happen easily enough. Finishing up you need to empty/drain the tanks. I never had an issue with filling the dirty water tank to the point it needed emptying before I finished cleaning. It’s large enough to hold all of the solution from a filled cleaner tank – I figure it would hold 1.5 solution tanks worth of dirty solution before it needed to be emptied. When you are done its easy to pop the dirty solution tank off the bottom of the unit – just squeeze the tabs on the side and a little tug will pull it free. To empty the tank you have to peel up and pop off the drain plug. I empty it and rinse it out a couple of times in my sink and leave the plug off to air dry overnight. I didn’t realize it at first, but you can also remove the clean solution tank. My first use I didn’t realize I could do this, so I awkwardly dumped the remaining solution back into the bottle while holding the entire cleaner. Now I know with a little effort you can pull this tank off as well. It’s got a tight grip so you have to make a strong pull while gripping/squeezing the sides. Once this is off you can easily empty it and rinse it out. From hear you can disassemble the rest of the cleaner. The suction channel pops free to be cleaned out, which was easy enough. I let all items air dry overnight before reassembly to keep them from getting mildew. Overall, the Bissell Pet Eraser is a nice little cleaning tool to have at your disposal. It’s the right size to use on small and even medium sized messes that I hated getting my big cleaner out for. I really only found a few small drawbacks – the orientations the unit can be used in, and the dampness left behind in the carpet. The orientation has to be due to keep the solution flowing from the carpet to the dirty tank, or to keep the clean solution from leaking out of the sprayer. I don’t really know, but I can at least speculate. The dampness comes down to suction power. The Pet Eraser lacks all of the power to pull its solution pack out of the fabric. This leaves your carpet/upholstery damp for longer than expected which is a downside in a highly trafficked area. This negatives aside I was still very pleased with the Pet Eraser. It seems well made, the solution is readily available at most stores, and its convenient.

This product is promoted as a pet stain eraser but it also can help with just about any carpet stain, as long as you act quickly and you have the product charged. Think of this as a miniaturized version of a large carpet cleaner like you would rent at the supermarket or home improvement store. It is very lightweight and easy to use. You fill the small tank with the cleaning solution (it comes with a couple of sample sized bottles - you will want to buy in larger volumes). I found it very effective for cleaning spilled liquids. When I emptied the "grey water" tank, I could also see that it picked up a lot of dirt as well. I own a large carpet cleaner but I like the convenience of having a smaller version that I can grab quickly and use to react to a spill in the moment. I also like that it has a powered brush for helping remove tough stains.

That's our pooch admiring some of her handiwork on the carpet in the first photo below (as well as a comparison shot of the results from the first test-run of the Bissell PowerBrush Plus). When we happen across signs of a mishap like this, typically we use some spray-on spot remover, scrub the area with a wet rag/washcloth, and blot dry. It's low-tech, but generally effective. However, if you have a lot of spots to address, or maybe want to give a few stairs some polish without lugging around a gigantic carpet shampooer, this Bissell unit makes the task much easier and quicker, and at least OUR results were every bit as good as the old elbow-grease method. Size-wise, this unit is a bit chunkier and a bit heavier than a Dustbuster-sized hand-vac; but it's completely manageable and makes for easy maneuvering on stairs, upholstery, probably even working well within the small confines a car. Two brush-heads are included--a rotating bristle brush for surface cleaning, and a rubberized, but stationary, "pet brush" that is designed to work the cleaning solution DEEP into the carpet. In each case, operation is pretty simple: add the cleaning solution to the holding tank, turn the unit on, place the Bissell in front of the stain and press the spray button to saturate the area, then start passing the unit over the stain to scrub the carpet fibers and suck up the dirty cleaning solution. Depending on the stain, you might need a few applications of the cleaning solution and several passes with one of the two (or even both) brushes--a particularly greasy spot from the bottom of my combat boot took about 3 tries to come clean. But...um...yeah, that's pretty much it. Once you're done, you can disassemble the entire unit in about 30 seconds for cleaning the brush(es), vacuum area near the front, rinsing out the crud tank, and drying everything for storage. In particular, we LOVED the little design flair that allows you to keep the cleaning solution in the holding tank during disassembly and storage so the Bissell is always ready for the next go-round. Granted, any cleaning results are generally going to be only as good as the cleaning solution in use, but the sample-sized bottle of Oxy formula that was included in the box produced such good results for us, the first thing we did is buy a full-size bottle to keep on hand for future use. Battery capacity gave us around 18 minutes of continued use before we had to head back to the wall socket for an additional charge. That may sound low, but it's actually on par with other cordless vacuums we have in our house, including two convertible units from Hoover and two other handhelds from Shark. About the only power-related complaint we had was that the spray function is battery powered--this gives you windshield-washer spray force to dispense the cleaning solution, but you can't pre-soak the affected area without first having to turn the unit on just to use the sprayer. It's a small niggle on an otherwise VERY solidly performing mini-carpet cleaner that did exactly what we wanted and expected it to do. Definitely recommended!

This little pet stain eraser is a great appliance to have around when you own a puppy. I really prefer the small and cordless option to the large carpet cleaners and spot bots, as this is much easier to store and transport than the large ones. Especially if you don't plan to clean an entire room. This is also wonderful for the car if you should get a stain on any upholstery or furniture items in the house that has cloth fabric. The functions are very straight forward too; spay, clean rinse. Super easy. All in all I am very happy with this cleaner as its super easy to use and store.

I can't say enough good things about this wonderful cleaner! We have an elder dog that has had a stroke. Sometimes we just don't make it out the door fast enough. This has been a lifesaver. Rather than using a ton of paper towels and pushing the dirt deeper into the carpet, I just pop the spray bottle into the pet stain eraser and let it do it's thing. It holds a charge for quite a few uses. Just now had to recharge again. All of the pieces come apart to clean and dry. It takes just a few minutes to clean and reassemble. It isn't that heavy. We are both seniors and it doesn't bother my arm using it. It really is the best! Thank you Bissell and Best Buy!

I love this little carpet cleaner. My dog threw up on my only carpet as I pulled this off the charger (it must charge before the first usage). I simply popped in the cleaner and followed the directions after picking up the debris. My carpet looks great now, and the smell is gone. I took the machine apart to clean it immediately after use, and it was very easy, cleaned up well, and was easy to put back together.
