In this day and age of smart phones and tablets with ever growing screen sizes, we may find that using one of those devices is not only more convenient and readily available for us to use. Our mobile devices today are much more capable than they used to be and we find ourselves doing more on them everyday. As capable and convenient these types of devices may be, there are those times where every once in awhile that we may need to use a more traditional computer like this one. You could be a writer, for instance, who wants to write a book or even a student who has a report due to his or her teacher who may find typing on a smaller device cumbersome. This is a good laptop for those people who want to get work done a little faster and efficiently. A general use laptop such as this will get the job done for those of us who still do a good amount of office or school work on a regular basis. It isn't the type of laptop for a gamer or other heavy user such as a photo or video editor. This is just a very basic laptop with a bare bones processor that should handle most light duty tasks with no problem. The first thing you definitely need to do upon setup is to get it out of "S Mode" which is a watered down version of Windows 10 that only is capable of using apps directly from the built in Windows store. You absolutely cannot run traditional Windows applications, such as Google Chrome, Firefox, or any other regular application that you may have on older computers unless you disable "S mode." Luckily, at least at the time of this review, removal of S Mode is free on the Windows app store. The keyboard and trackpad are "decent" at best but I found that at times, certain keys didn't show up making me press the key harder and the trackpad didn't always accurately track the pointer either. I ended up returning the laptop not specifically because of these issues but mostly because my 10.1 inch tablet with detachable keyboard does all this and more and then some. This has been the case for me for years and had stopped using computers like this for that very reason. I just don't have any need to use a traditional computer anymore.

The laptop is great, not too heavy and works just fine for everyday needs, school, work etc Very affordable also!

This HP is it. First of all the price was perfect for my pocket. AND it what I needed. I am on my laptop daily for work and personal duties. Its so light i forgot its on my lap. Lol. The memory is good for what I do daily. And the storage is what i needed to keep my files and budgets intact. This Rose Gold is so pretty. I love it. I will be purchasing another HP but BLUE for my youngest son for high school. A great purchase.

It worked well in the beginning but after a month it started moving slower than ever, I wouldn’t recommend this laptop, I also kept having issues with storage and always had to delete things. It did the job for a short period of time.

I love my laptop it is a very good basic laptop at a reasonable price I use it for paying bills, shopping on line and many more things and I have not had any problems with it and I am using it everyday thanks HP for my friend my laptop color is a pearl white

I bought this for my wife because her chromebook needed an upgrade. She loves the look of the rose gold, the functionality & using it to continue her writing with ease. My wife tethers her phone to use the internet & there isn't any set up. Which my wife loved. A great PC for for students & anyone who wants a straight forward PC.

Great purchase for the price. The mouse is a bit annoying. I just ordered a wireless mouse to see if that helps.

This small but compact HP laptop works great. I am able to take it with me wherever I go. It fits in my purse light and reliable. Would recommend it to just about anyone.

To start my son needs a LT for homework, something that is light and very fast. We hit the best!

Bought this HP laptop to do my small work projects at home. It has been very reliable and am very happy with it.

I love almost everything about this laptop except the keys are hard to see with no backlight. The print color on the keys isn’t dark enough and sometimes I need to lean in to see them. I’m not a good typist and this is a problem for me. All in all though it’s a good product. Nice big screen. I love the Windows 10 even having to use.it in S mode. Easy to navigate. All the Office products are easy to use. The extended warranty is ok. The HP won’t let me download the Geek Squad security though because it already has security on it. But as long as I have security, I’m good with it.

Overall a very good laptop for college. No backlit keyboard sadly.

This laptop really satisfies my needs for college. Love the color and that it’s very light. It’s a very good laptop for the cost.

Great laptop to get the job done. Have had it almost 3 years now and still havent had issues.

I love the color. The laptop functions pretty well but sometimes the keyboard has a glitch in random things pop up and disappear. But over all I’m satisfied. I bought it to have a smaller laptop to pay the sims on. It works great for the sims 4.

I used this for video editing purposes, gets the job done.
