You get what you pay for. This Vitamix immersion blender is extraordinary. It is extremely powerful, balanced, and well thought out. From a hard rubber tip guard to protect your container to the rubber hand grip to the easy to separate halves for easy cleaning and more. Also, their website provides dozens of recipes to create if you need any ideas as well as other tips and information. Anyway, this was simply an awesome purchase for us.

very expensive immersion blender, plastic part on the insider where it gets connected to the motor, broke. see photo. It is only 1.5 year old and best buy says I need to reach out to the manufacturer. Being an elite plus member when I bought this and now having a total care memberhsip for which I paid $200, I feel best buy should have helped me the only time I am requesting help.

This could be one of the most powerful hand-held blenders. The motor is rated at 625 Watts, which is close to what some full-size blenders use. It's all wrapped in stainless except from the bottom so it doesn't scratch pots. The bell-shaped base helps it be more stable while blending, and reduces splash. There are two buttons on the handle: Pulse button for power and speed, which is controlled by clicking on it and white bars light up on the top of the handle to indicate the speed. It always starts on the slowest speed. The base is held firmly and has to be rotated to open. It's a bit slippery to open. Works better using a rubber jar grip. Because it's so powerful, it can be on the heavy side. There are four blades on the base instead of the usual two on most handheld blenders. The base diameter is about 3" so be warner that it does not fit through most mason jars that are 3" wide. So we used a pitcher instead to make smoothies. The base is over 9" long and the motor assembly is 9", making it somewhat long and can be used on bigger cooking pots. To make smoothies, we found out that using it on speeds 2 and 3 works best. It crushes ice with ease, although as with other hand blenders, the space between the top of the assembly and the blades is not much so crushed ice gets stuck on it, if crushing ice alone. Works fine when mixed with other liquids of course. The base is easy to rinse. Overall very satisfied. Although we used it for about a week, seems very well built, although it's built in China, not on Vitamix's blender factory in Ohio.

So I got this thinking would I really use it while owning a vitamix blender? Yes I do use it if im not in the mood to to bring out the blender. Due to the lack of countertop space I find myself using this when I'm making something just for myself. Quick soup, slushie or a smoothie so far. Now it take some practice to use the right way I'm getting the hang of it and having it at a slight angle helps . Great thing about having this is not having to buy processed foods, I have the ability to make what I want and how I want it rather quick and easy. The kids want a slushie? Well if you go buy one they are packed with crazy amounts of sugar. I can make it sweet enough where my son would like it, on top of that add fresh fruit well by that point it's a smoothie lol. Having tools like these has shown me to save money and time. This thing blended the ice like it was nothing. Also made a cup or corn atole, that's like oatmeal but instead use corn and it worked well didn't have a piece of corn in there. Super easy to clean some soap and water on the blade part not the motor. Doesn't use up much space in my cabinet. Well made has good weight to it and easy to use with one hand, use 2 fingers one to start motor and the other one to change speeds.

The Vitamix immersion blender is something I now realize I should have already owned! I have always owned a standard type of blender and 90% of the time hated the fact it used soo much of my counter space but now I have a tool that can tackle the same job and is 1/4 of the size. As soon as you open the box you can feel that this is a quality well built kitchen tool, all stainless steel and 100% SOLID! I was somewhat skeptical that it would have the power to do the same things as my rugged KitchenAid but was quickly taught a lesson that it would not be an issue. There are 5 speed settings that range from the ability to mix a quick drink to crushing ice and having a smoothie in a flash. I am pleased that this unit is quieter than a regular blender and fits great in my hand, you can adjust the speed without ever stopping as well as on/off. The next greatest thing is the ability to twist off the lower blade attachment and stick in the dishwasher instead of having 3 or 4 pieces to wash with a regular blender. I would TOTALLY recommend this item to anyone and for the quality is a very reasonably priced tool.

    Best immersion blender I've owned

Our family loves to cook and we love our cooking gadgets just as much. We have used an immersion blender for years. If you love to cook and haven't ever used one, you'll find it hard to believe you lived without one once you have tried one. We've owned 3 other immersion blenders, all lower end models. When I got the chance to try the new Vitamix Immersion Blender I was blown away. Out of the box, you can tell that this is a quality product. It is stainless steel and comes in two pieces. This is a well built and solid blender. The two pieces twist easily together. No struggling to get this piece and that piece lined up, etc. It is a lot heavier than other immersion blenders I have used but that is because it isn't made out of plastic. It is ergonomic and well balanced in my hand. It isn't top heavy. The blades are protected by a scratch resistant shroud. This is great to protect your pans and containers from being damaged. The cord has a decent length. Long enough to allow for movement but not so long as to get tangled up in things or hang onto the stove and get damaged. It is also super quiet. My other blender has a high pitched whirring sound. The Vitamix Immersion Blender is about as loud as a rechargeable toothbrush. This blender has 5 speeds to allow you to adjust the speed for what you are making. I used it for a thicker soup and it powered right through the different ingredients. I used it for a thicker smoothy with grains. I was able to blend right in the container so I didn't have extra dirty dishes. I was initially disappointed that it didn't come with any "blend in" containers. But when I took my other immersion blender out to give it to a friend, I realized that i hadn't ever used a single attachment or "blend in" container. If you are looking to puree things, this might not work for you. It blends great but not to the smoothness of a traditional blender. I love my new immersion blender. With the holidays coming, I can already see lots of opportunities to use it. Along with my Vitamix Blender, I have an awesome set of tools to use for meals for our family. I highly recommend this immersion blender. It'd make a really great gift for a loved one or yourself.

A solid, professional grade stainless steel essential tool that every kitchen should have. A tool that has made preparing meals and even shakes so much easier. No more rummaging through your cabinets to find your blender and the clean up involved with that after. Its fast and easy to use. My wife who absolutely enjoys cooking and preparing delicious meals for her family has fallen in love with this Immersion blender. She has been making salsas, using it in making soups, pancake batters, tomatoe sauce and other delicious meals. The only thing that she was not a fan of was the lack of accessories, or none thereof. Now don't get me wrong, this is a good appliance but it could have been so much better if some accessories such as a whisker or a beater would have made this a beast and at the same time eliminated the need for additional items in the kitchen. Nonetheless a good product still. Let's go over some of the specs of the Vitamix Immersion Blender. - Good build quality. The Immersion blender has an absolute solid feel to it and a beautiful stainless steel finish. - 5 Speed operation - An amazing 625-Watt motor - An extremely sharp 4 Pronged blade - Easy to use one handed operation, so you can quickly add ingredients without the need to stop blending. - Comes in easy to assemble to piece. The top motor/handle is NOT WATERPROOF, but the bottom Immersion/blender portion is ok to wash or throw in the dishwasher. - One best feature about this blender and why my wife fell in love with this was that there is almost none to very little vibration in this. Now we have had other Immersion blenders as well and in most you can feel the vibration and after prolonged use the hand starts to get numb and that was not the case with this. All in all this is an absolutely must have product and we would definitely recommend it.

Great Upgrade Over Our Previous Immersion Blender

This is a super powerful and easy to use immersion blender. It’s definitely an upgrade over the Kitchenaid model that we’ve been using for the past several years and I’d recommend it to anyone that makes frequent use of a lower end model that’s looking for something a little more professional. The overall package is pretty simple. It comes with the main unit and the blending attachment. I’ve seen similar products that come with other accessories like whisks and our Kitchenaid came with a few of those, but we never really made use of any of them, so I’m fine with the lack of additional attachments here. The build quality is excellent; the metal construction definitely gives it a bit of heft, but not to the point of making it unwieldy. The power cord attached is about 6ft long and was plenty enough for us. Using this blender we immediately noticed the difference in power from our other one. We made a pretty thick soup with it and had no issues getting a whirlpool going in there. The splashback was also pretty minimal for the amount of power it was putting out. You do need to hold the power button down to use it and there is a button to toggle the speed directly underneath it. The grip design makes it really easy to get at both buttons with a single hand (right or left) and it feels comfortable to use. It’s also tall enough to get into some pretty large containers, though probably not tall enough for professional use. Overall we’re really happy with this immersion blender. For the price I’d probably recommend it to someone who has experience using one and is looking for an upgrade.

I love my Vitamix Immersion Blender...it is professionally powerful, convenient, easy to clean and store. Vitamix is the "go-to" tool when I'm making gravies, whipping up mashed potatoes, macerating the veggies in my wonderful nine-bean soup and on weekends for making delicious pancakes and waffles. As in our kitchen, you will find yourself reaching for your Vitamix Immersion Blender often! Enjoy.

Having never tried to make soups before, i was pleasantly surprised how easy this was to use. It's fairly light and easy to use and maneuver. I even had my 8 year old son using it while i got the rest of the meal ready. On the slowest setting, it made quick work of our vegetables and the low speed made sure it was easy to control. Pictured is a carrot and ginger soup. Because its in two pieces it makes it fairly easy to clean. Although, one concern is i don't know if it'd be so easy for other kinds of foods you use it for, like for something with a thicker texture like a smoothie or mashed potatoes. I'd personally prefer a removable blade to have more confidence that it's being properly cleaned, but so far, have no reason to suspect it isn't

Best immersion blender on the market. Way easier to power on and stay on while blending than any other blender we've had. Blends everything with ease. Pricey? Maybe, but if you have a Vitamix big blender, you know the quality of bend the brand gives, and this one falls right in line the same way.

I have nothing to compare this to because this is my first immersion blender. It works well for the jobs I’ve been doing. Mainly making sauces. Seems more than powerful, it is not very easy to clean due to the four blade system. It’s not a dealbreaker just a little more difficult to clean. Overall, I am very happy with it.

This Vitamix Immersion blender is a very diverse utensil. Not only can you blend up eggs or make a shake with it but it will also chop up vegetables and fruits to make juice. The Vitamix immersion blender is a large and well-built device that looks to be built to last for years. Despite it's large size the design of the handle and the way your hand goes under the top put your fingers in the perfect position to increase or decrease the speeds which are easily identified with an array of lights on the top. The on-off button is also right there where your finger sits on the front of the blender where your hand naturally sits and your fingers wrap around. It is very intuitive and easy to use and does a good job of chopping and blending whatever you need. My overall impression of the Vitamix Immersion blender is that it is high quality and practical addition to any kitchen that will make your life easier. It's diverse multi-faceted use factor definitely makes it a worthy addition to any kitchen and one that will serve to eliminate the number of tools you need to complete your food preparation tasks simplifying your life. I would say to anyone that does not have an immersion blender the Vitamix is a top choice and a device that every kitchen should have going forward!

Vitamix is a brand I trust for power and longevity. My old stainless steel 3600 blender, which was introduced in 1969, still makes great smoothies. I wanted the immersion blender to puree hot ingredients into cream soups and to whip eggs and make fluffy meringues. It was amazingly fast when I used it this week for cream of asparagus soup!

This is a fantastic device! It has all the power I could hope for and is very sturdy. It's heavier than I anticipated but it's well balanced and built, so it's easy to use. Even my weak hands and wrists can handle it haha. My ex had a Vitamix mixer and was always very proud of it, spoke about the quality of the Vitamix brand, and I can understand why. This item is a testament to the Vitamix brand. I've made several soups, smoothies, and even blended iced coffee shakes with such ease. And cleanup is a snap! Is it weird to say I'm having fun using this item? Because I am. The older I get, the more I enjoy cooking, and the more accomplished I feel when I get to try making new and more complex things, and this is a kitchen tool that helps me do just that. I'm very happy with my purchase!

I've used this a number of times since picking it up and it has done everything I've asked it to do without issue. My main uses are for single serve smoothies and soups or curries on the stove top. I wasn't a fan of pouring hot soup into my full size Vitamix and having extra large items to clean (whether easy or not) as well as the weariness of things like curries eventually leaving stains or smells. Having had a Vitamix for 7 years I'm confident in their quality and purchased this to resolve the above and it has not disappointed on performance at all. The thing I was most surprised about is the amount of suction force it has. The instructions say to keep the bottom of the bell (base) about an inch from the bottom when using which is easier said than done! I know it won't damage my cookware or cups/glasses but I think it's more so larger items can get pulled under and into the blades. Anything higher than the second power level and it's a workout to keep it from pulling its way to the bottom and wanting to stay there! As stated earlier, I purchased this item because I trust Vitamix to be a well built and durable brand and this is no exception. It feels sturdy, isn't too heavy (for me, at least), and is super easy to clean just like my full size one. It's definitely in the top tier on pricing but I think you get what you pay for and this will continue working and providing more power and range than most below it's price for years and years after they have stopped working. It's also SO much quieter than the full size Vitamix machines. I can just about carry on a conversation at regular volume even at the highest setting. My biggest complaint is the lack of accessories. Maybe it's because it's still a newer product from the company but many of the competitors have various accessories and storage options to complement the main product while all you have with this one is the base with the motor and the detachable wand with the blade. I'd have liked a blade protector (other than the flimsy piece of clear plastic it came packed with) that could snap on to the bottom of the bell for storage or even a storage bag/case. I also hope they come out with some additional accessories like a mini chopper or blender whisk attachment in the future to expand the versatility. Overall it's a great immersion blender that will handle anything you throw at it and looks great as well, but is well above the price of just about every competitor while having the bare minimum included and no accessories available for it. Time will tell if the latter is remedied but I definitely do not regret this purchase regardless.

I read up a lot on immersion blenders, and the Vitamix sounded the best. The silicone at the bottom was especially appealing as it won't scratch pans. I didn't see any others with this feature. I already have a Vitamix blender, and I know the long lasting quality of that product, so I was willing to pay more for the Vitamix immersion blende. It is wonderful to have for blending soups and sauces rather than having to dump everything into the blender to mix it up. It is quick and easy to clean. Other cheaper blenders include all sorts of extras, but I didn't think I'd use them so no loss there. I'm quite happy with it. Vitamix always has great warranties, not that you're likely to need it. I have a 15 year old blender that still works fine, also a newer one that I use now.
