As we don't have great internet service, I was nervous as to how this would perform. The Dell ~ Inspiron is fast, better picture, as well as better sound. I am very pleased with my purchase!

HP PAVILION came in second...what convinced me of the DELL IS IT HAS AN EDGE ON QUALITY...a fine windows laptop...I recommend it for writers and students...it has replaced my 11 year old TOSHIBA...hope the DELL lasts as long....with updated software...it is fine...

Other than that I've hadn't had any other issues but I only had this devise for a few weeks.

Thank you for your review on your Inspiron. We are sorry to learn that the keyboard lighting didn't meet your expectations. Your feedback is incredibly valuable as we build current and future products. To help with the keyboard lighting issue we suggest disabling the backlit keyboard when you are in lit areas. Below I have provided the steps to disable the backlighting and the full article link.
Backlit keyboard options in BIOS
1. Click the + sign next to System Configuration.
2. Click Keyboard Illumination.
3.* Disabled or Off - The keyboard illumination is off.
*Dim - The keyboard illumination is at half brightness.
*Bright - The keyboard illumination is at full brightness.
4. Click Apply, and then Exit.
