Good looks and functionality
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this air purifier in my 34ft RV with my two dogs and it really helps to keep the air fresh. When it is set to level one it is almost silent, the only indicators that it is on are the little blue light on the front and the light stream of air coming out the top. Level two is still very quiet and I can't hear it from across the room. On level three this thing really ramps up and is very audible but it is moving a lot of air. I usually just keep it in auto mode and let it change levels as it sees fit and I've yet to hear it go up to level three. The pre-filter is easily removed and cleaned while the main filter is easy to swap out. Its nice asthetics and quiet operation let it blend into the background.

So far, so good.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My family got another, larger Blueair purifier for the main floor of our house and then decided to grab this one for the smaller downstairs. It’s a great size, has a very modern look and it’s been fantastic at helping move some air along in a laundry room that also has a cat litter box. This may be the case with most air purifiers, but if you’ve ever plugged anything into a wall outlet before in your life then you can operate the Blueair. The process couldn’t be any easier and it’s an extremely quiet device while running. The only thing that may be of an occasional annoyance is that you can’t easily tell that it’s on at times if you’re not literally right beside it and can hear the fans. The indicator light on the front is tiny - and this may very well be a much welcomed benefit if you’re planning on using this in a room where you sleep and don’t want your room lit up like a Christmas tree. Otherwise, you may feel the urge to press the big power button when it’s already on. Not a huge deal, by any means, just worth mentioning. Would absolutely get this again.

Must have for clean air
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first air purifier that I have ever used. It was very simple to use and set up. To start using you simply pull it out of the box, plug it in, and push the button to turn it on. It will take some time to analyze the air. The air quality in my living room was good and I had the fan set to auto. With good air quality and the fan automatically on low it is extremely quiet. I turned the fan up to high and it got a little louder but still not too loud. Since I have been using it the fan has stayed on the lowest setting. The filters are supposed to be changed every 6 months when used 24 hours a day. Filter change is a very simple and easy process. The filter simply twists on from the top of the machine. There is also a cover on the filter which can be vacuumed/washed as needed. I believe that this is great for people who live somewhere with bad air quality or people who have allergies it helps to keep the air clean. It is able to treat the air in a pretty large area such as living room.

Automatic Air Filter
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Blue Pure 311 Auto is just that. Automatic. Just plug it in (another GIANT plug that doesn't fit with another in the electrical outlet unless it is a flat regular plug) after placing in an area of the room away from objects like curtains and windows. Keep it at least 4 inches away from other objects. I tried this in a bedroom with both windows closed. Peel off the blue sticker that says "Press Once for Auto Mode" that in small print says "Remove this label before use" then press the little white button and it starts running and sensing the air in the room. The air quality sensor light on the side will start out red or orange then once the air quality is clear the light turns blue. You can let it run on Auto or press the button again to choose Night Mode, Everyday Mode or Boost Mode or OFF. Various bars on the top panel light up to indicate the mode. I just let it run on Auto Mode since the fan isn't very loud and the hum is steady unless it speeds up briefly to clear the air. It does blow cool air out of the top so I moved it away from the bed to avoid a draft. I let it run 24 hours a day if I was home and turned it off when I was away. Filters are available from the Blueair subscription program at a discount with free shipping. The indicator on top will change to red in about 6 months under normal conditions when the filter needs to be changed. After you change there is a reset button on top. The outside has a machine washable cloth pre-filter that you can buy in various colors. Mine is Arctic Gray. Between washes just vacuum it . Instructions for changing the filter seems pretty straightforward but I won't know how hard or easy it is until it tells me I need a new Main filter. You can also remove the top cylinder to clean the air quality sensor with a cotton swab if necessary.

Nice Filter
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a simple easy to use and setup. Nothing complex and push a button to go into Automatic mode. I setup in our bedroom to test the noise and it is whisper quite on auto when nothing is in the air, and ramps up slowly where particles get it. Seems to work well and is great and keeping the particles down. Doesn't seem hard to maintain and easy enough to move around. Even with the fan going, it isn't horrible loud and works well.

Breath of fresh air!!!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My mom has asthma and this baby is a lifesaver. Mom was able to sleep through the night with no discomfort. She has an older home and dust was a problem but not anymore. I noticed a major difference myself. I really think every home should have one of these. Setup is simple and fast. Runs very quiet and unnoticeable doesn't break your sleep at all.

Simple and Effective
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As the headline suggests, the Blueair Pure 311 Auto is fuss-free air purifier that does its job. There are no remotes, no apps, no wifi connections, no additional barriers to get setup and running. Very modern in appearance, the Pure 311 Auto looks great. It's not too bulky and does not look industrial, so it should fit nicely in any household. One of the things I like is that the prefilter is a fabric wrap that can be washed/cleaned and put back on. There are additional prefilters available from the manufacturer's website or Amazon. I have the gray color, but I am tempted to purchase the green one soon for extra flair in my home. The main filter (which makes up 2/3 of the overall device) supposedly lasts about six months before you will need to purchase a new one. There are basically three settings for this device: Auto, Medium, and High. I normally have it on Auto, but may sometimes kick it into High if I cook and it's not filtering out the air as fast as I would like. Auto and Medium levels are okay in terms of breeze noise, but the High setting is pretty loud. There is a simple indicator light on the front that shines blue, amber, and red (good, moderate, bad). I have bad allergies, so I love the idea of having an air purifier in my home. While I do not have tangible proof that this does what it is supposed to, I do feel like I sneeze less in my home. I'll have to have this around for a little longer to render a full opinion, but of my one week of continual use, I think this is a great product.

Cleans Air
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As far as keeping the air clean this purifier does its job. There is an indicator that lets you know if the air is not clean. You can tell a difference in the smell of whatever room you place it in. Very quiet on the lower settings which is good. The only thing I don't care too much for is the design. The air flows up because the fan in on top which is strange. Most fans blow horizontal instead of vertically to increase circulation. I still think this would not be a bad purchase.

Works great and is super quiet
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very impressed at just how good this is. The auto mode is usually very quiet but as soon as I was cooking something that over-browned, my family said it kicked up to high to clear the air and then stepped back down. Looks easy to clean and change the filter too. Love it!

Odors and allergies be gone!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using this air filter for the past few days and I have 100% benefited from its effects. Air purifiers are pretty straight forward. They intend to remove particles from the air that can lead to allergies and other health issues. This Blueair 311 air purifier does that with no issues. The controls are simple to use. The unit itself blends in well with just about any room. Blueair even sells other colors for the fabric wrap around the filter. I have been using the unit in my wife’s office where she has two pet guinea pigs. The purifier has reduced the odors in the room which means if you’re buying one because of your pets, I give you my recommendations for this specific purifier. I have also tried it in our master bedroom, and we have been waking up with better sinus and less congestion throughout the day. Pretty much no matter what your goal is with this filter, you will likely be very satisfied.

Clean Air!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Bluair Blue Pure 311 is a great air purifier. We have this in our room so we can breath in nice clean air while asleep but also for the little bit of white noise that helps us sleep. At its lowest settings, you probably won’t even hear the fan going. If you set it to high, it can be a bit loud but moves the air around a lot better. Without a doubt, after having this run for about 30 minutes we could tell how clean the air was. With 4 pets it is important to us to be breathing in the cleanest air possible and this Blueair purifier does the trick. The style and look is really great also. It should go well with any decor! If you want to breathe cleaner air, and have been looking for something stylish yet highly effective, then pick this one up!

Good on particles, not on odor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had my Blueair-Blue Pure 311 Auto HEPA Silent Air Purifier running in my living room now for about a month. I like the auto feature, kind of a set it and forget it option. I have purposely done things to test it out, lit a cigarette, match and cooked some things I normally wouldn’t. Some things have been by accident, like my neighbors re-enacting hash bash downstairs.. Anyhow, I have noticed a reduction in surface dust on horizontal surfaces, I’ll attribute that to the HEPA filter. I haven’t noticed a significant reduction in smells though. I have experience with another brand that handles them quite well. My bedroom is right off the living room and I have not noticed any issue with the noise the unit produces even when it winds up to full throttle. If smells aren’t your main concern I would recommend this air purifier, otherwise for the price there are better options.
