I've used a few different robot vacuums and each se to have their pros and cons. The D8 seems to be one of the more thorough robot vacuums I've used. It's floor mapping is detailed and it overall does a good job of avoiding obstacles. It's still had a couple of odd moments where it's gotten stuck and just bumped into the wall before giving up. It also can't vacuum our shag-type rug. The D8's "D" shape does help it get into corners as they suggest. I think it does to a better job there. It also does a good job of running close to walls. The software is also easy to use, and nicely designed. Pros: good mapping, nice app, great at corner cleaning and getting close to walls Cons: app does seem to have a couple bugs (like the map not generating and getting errors, as well as crashing a few times, though I'm confident these issues will be ironed out), unable to vacuum shag rugs

Buyer beware! I had one of the original thought facts for several years before it cost more to repair than to replace so I bought a Neato D4 connected. When it worked it was great but it kept giving problems when the bin was cleaned saying that the bin was full, even when the bin had been thoroughly cleaned and a new filter put on. While this was happening I happened to have purchased a new phone and on the new phone the app updated. When I wrote to customer support, they suggested I do certain things and that is when I found out that the new app doesn't support my vacuum and that I can no longer upload the old app because my phone apparently is too advanced for it. The customer support response to me was basically that if I couldn't find someone with old technology that would allow me to download the old app to make my vacuum go then there was nothing more they could do. I asked if they could replace my vacuum with a new one or send me some sort of way to get the app on my phone and they didn't respond to either those requests. Bottom line is no matter how good this vacuum is, there's a possibility that if you upgrade your phone your vacuum will no longer work and they don't support that I guess they just expect people to buy new robot vacuum cleaners every year! Very frustrating!

I have had the Neato fo about 4.5 years. It does a good job vaccuming, but the battery life does not last. It completely died a couple of months ago so we purchased a new battery. After letting it charge, it still does not work. It has lights on when its on the charger, but but still does nothing

This vacuum did better than my LG stick vac on my fully carpeted space, it was intuitive and easy to use and after it was done I was thrilled at the job overall. I have 2 dogs so vacuuming is definitely a chore I abhor and this did such a great job! It was easy to set up, and I only had to clean the dustbin once which is usually 3 or 4 times with my stick vac. I am happy to make this my new go-to vacuum and even be able to set it to run while I'm not home from the app or at night (if I wanted!). It is not as loud as a standard vac but not loud enough where it is bothersome. It is worth the money for the peace of mind of never having to vacuum personally again. Love my Neato!

I was initially skeptical about whether robotic vacuums were practical or just high tech toys. But after operating a pair of these in my home for the last few years I am completely sold both on the concept and also on the quality of this company. We now have purchased three Neato robots over the last few years for ourselves and as a gift. The robots are quite capable with sophisticated but easy to use mapping functions that let us control where the robot will operate without requiring physical barriers or magnetic strips (although the magnetic strips are very easy to use if you don't want to use the map features. ) Neato provides amazing customer service which is why I was very comfortable giving one of these robots as a gift. They are very willing to help with setup issues or other issues that may arise. And they go way beyond typical customer service behavior. For example, when I experienced a hardware problem with a charging base that was out of warranty, they sent a replacement unit free of charge (an unintentional pun...the replacement proved to be a competent charger!) The service experience from this company tops any other technical service that I have experienced in several decades.

This is my second Neeto and I love everything about it. I'll always buy Neeto brand

Inyad use neato for 7 years and it has been the best, I teied iRoboot, shark and rhe sucktion is not the same, the brus is longer and the flat front is better for corner than the round and little spinning doen’t much

Best battery life of ANY vacuum robot I have had till now. Signature great Neato Nav software as always. Connects with App quickly and the connection is reliable. The map looks very clean and accurate. The no-go feature is working great. Very happy with my unit.

Wow! What a great vac. Super easy to use and get set up. We easily downloaded the app and and set a great cleaning schedule. This robot vac does exactly what you would expect - runs on the set schedule, cleans where we want it to, and really does stay away from the No Go areas. The laser mapping makes the Neato do an excellent job maneuvering around furniture (and under furniture!), and it returns to its docking station when it needs to recharge and then heads back out to continuing cleaning.

It's been a week and the unintelligent robot keeps failing and canceling the first run that maps the house. It keeps getting stuck everywhere. I honestly think that the earlier versions (like D80) run much better.

Living with small kids and with shedding dogs, the house is never clean. I wasn't able to keep up. Neato is a life saver. I'm extremely impressed on how it vacuums and navigates around the house. I really like the feature called No Go. You are able to program it to not going in certain areas of your house. I highly recommend buying Neato. It is worth worth every dollar.

Owning a robotic vaccum seemed lazy to me at first. Friends recommended so I recently got the Neato D8. It's amazing how enjoyable it is to get the house cleaned while you do something else! The app allows you to keep track of what is going on with the vacuum. It has a great battery life and cleans real well. I recommend.

This was my first automated vacuum purchase and I am so glad I finally made the switch. Set up was easy and it works like it's supposed to. I can't believe I didn't buy this sooner!

Neato has by far the best navigation technology built into this robot vs any other brand. You can see a "blue print" of your house, label rooms and schedule daily/weekly cleaning.

Love it! Great vac- the app is very easy to set up & use and the big dust bin is a major benefit. (Very happy the app allows you set up no-go zones)
