This one does it all! I have several appliances in the Ninja family, and this blender replaces a Ninja Professional Kitchen Series. The Professional had several bowls, cups and attachments for several different uses. The Power Blender does it all with just one pitcher. While I do miss the to go blend cups, the trade off for space in my kitchen is definitely worth it. So far, it has crushed everything I have thrown at it. Very powerful. Ice, nuts, smoothies, all with perfect consistency with no slow down. The pitcher feels sturdier than my last model, and is much easier to clean. Not sure if it is because it’s new or if there is a newer material, but everything just rinses right out with no residue. It can be a nuisance to put the pitcher in the dishwasher after every use, so this has been a great unexpected perk. This is also the first blender to have the Auto IQ feature. Very useful. I have used it a few times to test the adaptability. Surprisingly it actually adjusts to the load in the pitcher and automatically uses just the right speed and intervals to create the best consistency. All of my smoothie tests came out perfect. The setting I was most skeptical of was the chopping. But, just the same, somehow it adapted to the load and provided the perfect chop, and running it twice gave a finer consistency without turning it to mush. This has been/is great for onions! I made a fresh Pico de Gallo and barely needed to use my knife. My last Ninja lacked the basic Manual mode and opted for the Pulse button. This has both and I’m happy they included it. This really is a great all-in-one. No disappointment.

A useful appliance that almost replaces 3 others

I got this Ninja Foodi 3-in-1 Blender and Food Processor to replace two other appliances: an older Cuisinart food processor and a lighter-use blender that was barely adequate at blending. During my time using it, I've found the Foodi 3-in-1 to exceed my expectations at most things its designed for and actually come close to replacing my beloved stand mixer as well. There are drawbacks and quibbles, but for what I need it to do and the options it opens up for me, the Foodi is a very useful appliance indeed. Let's start with the most surprising feature. As soon as I opened the box and showed my wife that the Foodi could make cookie dough, she enlisted me to bake a batch of chocolate chip cookies. I used the recipe that came in the book that Ninja packed in the Foodi's box, and it was dead simple. I washed the machine and its parts, assembled it with the dough paddle blade, tossed in the ingredients in order, set the dough function from the iQ menu, and in a few minutes I had a smooth cookie dough. Then I added the chocolate chips, stirred them in, and portioned them out onto cookie sheets. At this point, I had very nearly decided that the Foodi could replace my KitchenAid stand mixer, which we usually use for making cookie and bread dough and whipped cream. I'm not yet sure I could whip cream in the Foodi, but I've seen that it's possible on the internet, so I might try! I will say I was disappointed with the process of mixing chocolate chips into the dough. The Foodi mixed the dough very well, but despite the large size of the blender pitcher. it was difficult to get the chips mixed in all the way and I had a few cookies with very little chocolate in them. Next time, I'll scoop the dough out into a bowl to mix the solid ingredients in. Now, as for food processing: I've used the Foodi to make my trademark hummus recipe, and it processed the hummus smoother than the Cuisinart in about half the time. I was duly impressed, but the one thing to know here is while the Foodi is twice as fast, it's also about three times as loud. Making this hummus was not a quiet process! If you're sensitive to loud noise, you may want to be wary of this one. I've also used the Foodi to chop walnuts for a banana read I made in the bread maker, and I was surprised and pleased with how fast and efficient it was. It was as good a chop as I would get from the other food processor, but not as perfectly chopped as if I'd done it myself with a knife. No matter, because the time it took to do was about 10 times shorter than chopping by hand. There is one thing the Foodi can't do that my Cuisinart can, and that's shred vegetables. I don't use the shredding attachment often, but making a big batch of coleslaw or shredded vegetables for Vietnamese-style pickling is difficult to do by hand. I see that Ninja offers a couple different attachments for its blenders, so there may be a future when I'm able to buy something to attach to the top and shred veg. I'm not much of a smoothie maker, so I actually haven't tried blending with this blender yet. Weird, I know. I am very much looking forward to using it in the fall, though, because I bake pumpkin pie from scratch, and I use my blender to make the custard from roasted pumpkin, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, and spices. My old blender could barely hold enough custard mix to fill a 10-inch pie crust, and I'm sure the Foodi will be much better than that. Given how smooth it blends hummus, I bet I'll have the best-whipped pie filling ever this fall! A couple of other notes: - The Foodi has 4 strong suction cup feet to keep it in place. This is a welcome touch! - The long-handled cleaning tool that comes in the package is excellent at getting into the nooks and crannies. - You can only place the pitcher on the Foodi's base in one position by clicking it into the lock from right to left. This means the pitcher's handle is always on the right side, meaning left-handed folks might be a little frustrated with it. - Speaking of the pitcher: the handle has small air holes on it to allow for water to drain out, however, these holes are very small and won't easily allow cleaning inside. It is probably smart to never soak the pitcher or you run the risk of ending up with tiny bits of food debris stuck inside the handle. I've included a picture of condensation build-up in the handle.

Not my first rodeo with Ninja. I can't think of anyone dissatisfied with a Ninja product. Broke my French press glass so we bought a Ninja Coffee/Tea machine. What a workhorse! Just spent time with this Ninja Foodi Power Blender and Processor. I made some smoothies, pizza dough, salsa, and some margaritas (pics). Reading that back it even sounds like a party. Moved from one to the other smoothly and fast. Quick way to clean was run the blender with blade installed & really hot soapy water. Really loved the dough attachment. Been making pizzas at home for many years, and the worst part is mixing the dough initially. Even this beast of a Ninja can't knead the dough, but it can eliminate the initial mixing. Came with a nice little recipe for dough. Add ingredients and use the smart IQ function for Dough. Ends up with a perfect little ball to knead. (pic) Wrist-saver extraordinaire! Teeny tiny complaint here with mixing dough. The top of the dough attachment is a male nub that fits into the female side of the lid. Cleaning up the dough residue was easy for the whole Ninja except that little female area. Sticky little dough-bits get stuck in there. Not too bad really, you just have to get a toothpick or something small like that to clean it out. Small and insignificant hiccup really, won't stop me from making dough in it again! Also, if you're chopping onions, or garlic, and the skins are laying near the side of this little airplane engine, when it goes off, it will send anything light like that...etc...FLYING. If there's paper on the counter, you know...like a nice little recipe book that comes with something like a foodi blender... GONE. Needless to say it shoots out a good amount of air at the base during operation. Some people like me just use the opportunity to shout into the blowing air like Chris Farley "LUUUUKE...I'M YOUR FAAAAAATHER" This Ninja is yet another well built, well designed, appliance from Ninja that I'm 100% confident will last years to come!! One more tip, make the margaritas first (ninja recipe book), maybe a couple times...the kneading of the pizza dough is much more enjoyable after a couple of those. The dough makes a nice drum set to jam on! you're welcome ;)

Raising the Blender to a New Level

UNBOXING AND INITIAL IMPRESSIONS Initial impressions after unboxing are that Ninja has taken the average kitchen blender to a whole new level. The machine is very sleek and modern looking and has all digital controls. From the overall aesthetics to the components included in the kit, everything has a very upscale and premium look and feel. Quite honestly, it seems that Ninja studied someone as culinarily challenged as me and gave them a machine they could not screw up with. I often find cooking a frozen pizza challenging. You give me the best of kitchen appliances, and I’ll find some way to screw up a recipe. I have been a Ninja fan ever since I received their air fryer. What they accomplished with their air fryer is something special – they made a kitchen appliance that even I can figure out how to use and prepare a decent recipe with. Wow!!! That is no easy feat. So, I was eager to see if they were able to pull it off with a blender. USE Long story short, Ninja did their homework and created yet another appliance that even the most challenged novices like me can easily operate without issue. Overall thoughtful items are baked everywhere into this product. The blender includes a 1400W motor. That is the most powerful motor I have ever seen in a kitchen appliance. It has a lot of torque. No matter what I tried to make in the blender, the motor did not stall. From seriously thick smoothies to cookie dough, the blender handled it like a champ. The most impressive feature of the package is the integrated suction cups on the bottom of the machine. Yes, I know, a product with all these cool features and the most impressive thing is the suction cups? Those suction cups are amazing! They saved my hide from a disastrous mess more than once. They hold the blender with enough force to keep it from flying out of control without me holding it down. The very first time I had it loaded it full of frozen fruits and ice, I was messing around with the controls. The smart thing would have been to familiarize myself with the blender before using it. But, why do it the smart way? I hit a couple of buttons and just I was getting ready to hold down the machine, it roared to life. Full power. Those suction cups held strong. They didn’t break loose and the machine churned through the frozen bits without effort. Whew! Awesome! The controls are super simple and very intuitive. Maybe a professional will find them too simplistic. But, for someone like me, they are a welcome addition. The Auto IQ really does work. Pick your recipe on the display and hit the “Enter” button. The machine does the rest. Its programming is super smart and never failed to make a near perfect result. You can tell the machine was made for the non-chefs and it pays off. However, the machine is also so powerful and capable, that I think even the best of home cooks would find that this blender does anything and everything they could want and then some. CONCLUSION I honestly can’t really find anything negative to say about the blender. It is powerful. It’s preprogrammed “recipes” makes it less intimidating for the novices, while still offering the power and performance that an experienced home cook or professional chef would need. It’s safety features are well thought out and nicely incorporated in the design. This is one of the few products that I’ve tried that I’m at a loss for words when trying to find a negative. That is a rare accomplishment. An easy 5 stars!!

I am usually skeptical of “all-in-one” do everything items. I had a very old, very inexpensive blender and a very old and inexpensive food processor that spend most of their time taking up quite a lot of space. I decided that this item might just be able to do the job of both (and maybe a few others), take up less space and maybe, just maybe, do the jobs better. Overall I would have to say that this Ninja works well, with one big caveat that I will get to later. It is superior in every to my older kitchen implements that it was intended to replace. The large capacity pitcher is nice and the power and design of the blades make it exceptional at all of the chopping, blending, smoothie making jobs that I have thrown at it. The preprogrammed buttons for different items (smoothie, ice crushing, etc…) are interesting, and work to a point, but I have found that I get better results when I pay attention and control the speed and duration of a task myself. I really like the speed control knob that allows very smooth and accurate speed control. While this appliance is LOUD at full speed (we’ve been calling is the Whisper 2000), I have noticed this is very common with powerful and even extremely high end blenders and processors. This sucker can chop and puree and smoothie and crush extremely well, and actually made a decent cookie dough when I tested that feature. It doesn’t have the ability to make slices like my old food processor, but I never ever used that function anyway so I can hardly ding it for that. While the overall design and though put into operation is all a plus with this Ninja, I feel that the build quality is not up to the rigors of regular use for a machine like this. The blender’s motor produces a lot of torque, especially at high speed. To keep the machine from moving across the counter while turned on it has 4 very aggressive suction cups on the base instead of feet. This is common for commercial equipment and they do a great job of holding the unit in place. The problem is they do TOO good a job. Once stuck down to the counter the suction cups are very difficult to release. After the second time I used the machine, while wigging the base and trying to get the cups to release, the mountings that secure the base, to the center, to the motor housing all broke. I was not being careless and was grasping the bottom of the machine while wiggling and they just snapped. Once I did that I was able to see that this is a very obvious failure point with tiny posts held in by very, very small screws. Commercial equipment would have a long-shank screw or a cast metal base assembly. The small plastic bits of this unit just aren’t adequate for the job they are doing. This is obviously to keep the cost down, the overall finish of the machine is that of plastic with more plastic, which to me, detracts from the idea that this is a sturdy pro-quality piece of equipment. After taking a good look at the guts of the blender, I was able to Gorilla glue the base back together, and I feel like it is much stronger than before. I also placed the Ninja on a small, inexpensive plastic cutting board that I stuck thin neoprene feet to. This keeps the blender solidly in place even at the highest speed, without risking another problem with overenthusiastic suction cups. I feel that while this Ninja is quite capable, It seems to lack the sturdy, quality construction that I would really want in a small appliance that I would use regularly. I plan on continuing to use it and I really hope that my gorilla glue repair holds as serious summer smoothie season is not too far off. When taking into account the cost I don't think that I would recommend this unit to someone because of the disappointing build quality.

My wife wanted to try all the features after using for a few weeks she loves it. Excellent, the pitcher is easy twist and lock on base, the suction cups on bottom hold the unit firm on counter, the pre select buttons are great. My wife makes cookies, brownies and banana bread the easy pour spout on top makes it easy. I love making smoothies for the grand kids it's powerful and fast chopping ice a bit loud but that's expected. It's the perfect size to handle all your baking and food processing all in one. Yes the blades are sharp just be careful and use common sense safety. We have several Ninja products but this unit eliminates using the others. All in one does it.

Tl;dr Overall, this blender has been a great addition to my kitchen counter. It’s compact, powerful, and versatile. It does all you want a modern, premium blender to do and few more things besides. I look forward to using it on a regular basis for (hopefully) years to come. My family likes smoothies. They also like baking bread and cookies. To do all that, we looked no further than the Ninja Foodi “blender”. On the box its called a blender, but it really is much more. The blades on the standard insert will chop, mix, blend, crush ice, and puree. I used it to chop an onion. The pieces came out uniform and appropriate sized instead of being minced as some choppers have done. The lid locks in place, keeping safety as a priority. This also reduces vibration as the spinning blade fits into a socket in the lid to keep it from moving around too much. It’s also small enough, even with the pitcher on, to sit underneath the upper cabinets in my kitchen. The same could not be said about the last blender I had from Nutribullet. There’s also a dough blade. We used this to make the pizza dough recipe in the instruction book. It was quick to make, with the mixing occurring within the advertised 40 seconds. it still requires a few minutes of kneading to get to the correct consistency for rising, but still MUCH faster than mixing by hand. Cookie dough went faster than yeast based dough. The snickerdoodle recipe (also in the instruction book) led to a delicious mid-afternoon snack. To round out the day, we made smoothies with frozen fruit. The Ninja cut through the ice quickly and easily to make a most delicious drink with no notable lumps. Clean up is fairly easy as well. From smoothies, you can simply put a few drops of soap in, add warm water, then run through the Bowl cycle to wash it all away. It’s also dishwasher safe. I cleaned mine on the bottom rack without any negative effects.

I was planning to replace my old ninja blender with this one, but unfortunately, this model doesn't support the cups which is a deal-breaker for me. I usually make a smoothie in the morning and having to make it in the big blender and transfer it is a pain. With that said the Auto-iQ does work well. You just put the right attachment in (if you're doing something like dough), move the dial then press start. For something like a smoothie, it will bend, and stop and blend again so the final product is great. The concept of using this as a food processor is nice, but I found myself mostly blending like a normal blender. Overall, this is a great blender but the fact this model won't let you use the 24oz cup to me is a mistake.

Ok, so this thing does a little bit of everything, blender, food processor, smoothie maker, pizza dough and cookie dough and does all of that well. It's powerful, fast and supper easy to use. Comes with a dough blade and four little suction cups to keep it in place will using. The long handle scraper thingie is a nice touch to get all of your deliciousness out of the bottom. It looks nice, has convenient one touch settings and is easy to clean. So, I just needed a blender to make smoothies, but got so much more!

This machine is awesome! I have bumpy countertops, so the suction cups won’t be able to be used properly, but even so, the blender doesn’t move around when in use. I have made slushies, smoothies, processed Veggies and fruits! Not once has it faltered or even wavered, just kept chopping away! I used it to slice apples for apple pie and right after I shredded all the vegetables for my dogs weekly food! I was hesitant at first because of the price, but it shredding a 2lb block of cheese and didn’t even got warm on the base! I decided to splurge because I wanted all the bells and whistles and a stronger motor. It puts my mind at easy knowing I’ll be using this for a VERY long time. I got this one instead of the kitchen system because I didn’t want to deal with all the blades and pitchers that the other one has. This foodi system does have more pieces than the step down, but I wouldn’t trade it down ever!
