Customers are saying

Customers highly value the V15 Detect Cordless Vacuum's powerful suction, long battery life, and ease of use. Many appreciate the laser-assisted cleaning and lightweight design, while some find the price to be a significant drawback. Other minor concerns include the need to continuously hold the trigger and the relatively small dustbin capacity.

    BEST VACUUM I'VE EVER USED

I was looking for a cordless vacuum but didn't know whether this would hold up and be powerful enough. I've used other brand vacuums such as the Roomba, Shark, but never a Dyson. The $700 price tag was a hard sell but for me, it was between the V15 or the Animal so I bit the bullet and bought the V15. If you're reading this and debating on buying, I'll tell you this is WORTH IT. This vacuum is AMAZING. I've had it a month and all I can say is WOW!! There are 2 boys, 2 cats, and 2 adults in our house that's mostly carpeted so pet hair, dust and debris builds up fast and I vacuum every day. I really needed something that would clean my floors without me needing to go over them several times. With the V15, one trip through the house is all it takes. The amount of things this vacuum is able to pick up is astonishing. I love that you can adjust the amount of suction, and the attachments are easy to swap out. The dirt canister easily removes with the push of a button and can dump easily into your trash, just make sure not to push the lever if not holding the canister over a trash can otherwise you'll dump it all over the floor like i did the first time. You can also clean the canister by removing it from the vacuum. It comes with a battery holster for your wall and detachable battery so you can charge it without the vacuum itself, but you can also just plug the charger into the vacuum with the battery attached to also charge it. I admit it took me a few days to learn how to use this vacuum but once i mastered that, it was all downhill from there. Also, the floor roller does not get tangled with hair. At all. This was a big issue with other vacuums I've used so I was super impressed that this held up to its claims. Major pros: Easy to use, lightweight, adjustable suction power, deep cleaning mode (boost), medium cleaning mode (AUTO), and every day cleaning (ECO). The dirt canister easily removes with the push of a button and can dump easily into your trash. Detachable battery for quick charging. The design makes it easy to vacuum under furniture, around tables and even fits perfectly on my stairs without the vacuum head hanging off the sides like other vacuums. Cons: No storage bag for the accessories, which is somewhat annoying but not a game changer. Another downfall is a short battery life depending on which mode you use. I recommend ECO mode for quick cleaning and getting through your entire house on one charge. Using AUTO mode can get through most of my house but i usually skip a room, recharge, then continue. Lastly, i need to adjust the suction comb on high traffic areas or else it gets stuck but this just proves to me how powerful the suction is.

I’ve been a fan of Dyson products. Never let me down. The battery on my old V8 Animal just wasnt holding a charge anymore after 4 years. Decided to upgrade to the newer model instead of buying a replacement battery for the V8. Man what a difference. The laser on this model almost encourages to vacuum at night so you can see the all the little dust and dirt on the floors your eyes aren’t catching during the day. Well worth the money. Battery lasts enough to do my whole house. Set it to the auto function and when it dedect bigger particles it will automatically kick the higher suction power on and do it’s thing and vaccum up whatever is in front of it. Do yourself a favor and get a Dyson.

Love the ease of movement. The suction is mighty. A full battery vacuums for a good hour. Love the green light that shows up the dirt on wood floors. Battery keeps a charge for several days between uses.

If you have been thinking about this investment, stop and go get it now. I am in my second Dyson, and will never go back to a conventional vacuum. So easy to use, and so much it vacums. Even when you think your floors are clean, you will be surprise to see all the invisible dust it can pick. This is one of the best investments I’ve made.

    LOVE My Dyson V15 Detect

This is a really great Vacuum. I have been using it for well over a year now and have yet to have one issue or failure. I've had multiple iterations of the Dyson cordless vacuums, inclusive of the V8 Animal, V10, and now this V15. The V15 I especially like because of the sensor that increases the suction power based on the amount of debris flowing through the base. The older models were much simpler and never could do this. This feature takes some getting used to though, because as the suction power increases so does the resistance as you are pushing (requiring more effort to move the vacuum). Either way, the increased suction power helps minimize any need for going over the same spot 3+ times due to missing debris. I also appreciate that this vacuum came with both their traditional head as well as this fluffy head for wood/tile floors. It's a great extra to have. Aside from that, I highly recommend the vacuum to anyone looking for a high quality vacuum with a great battery life. Oh, keep in mind it is a little heavier than the older models. I really don't feel much, but some folks might notice that.

I LOVE THIS VACUUM. I have a Dyson animal canister and I may as well sell it because I don’t use anything but this one now. Battery lasts surprisingly long. I can do 2 carpeted bedrooms wood kitchen dining and living, 2 tile bathrooms and 5 different area rugs and haven’t ran the battery down yet. And this thing SUCKS! We have a border collie and he sheds a lot. This thing draws up so much fur and dander I think it’s better than my canister. Nice size canister. I had the Dyson cordless model from 5 years ago and sent it to college with my kid. This one is 3000% better for power, battery, and canister size.

One of Dyson’s higher-end vacuum models, the V15 Detect boasts the latest technology to enhance the cleaning process, paired with the signature power and versatility users know and love. While there are several Dyson models with larger motors and more battery life, the V15 packs a ton of cleaning punch. At just under seven pounds, it’s lightweight enough to lug around the house and make light work of everyday messes, but it’s also powerful enough to tackle large spaces and thoroughly deep-clean piles of dirt.

I have had this Dyson for about a year now. Still love it! I am a professional residential house cleaner and I use it for both large mansion like houses and small houses- The battery run time is perfect on “eco” mode - lasting an hour or more sometimes. Effectively picks up pet hair, crumbs, debris, etc. Older Dyson versions I’ve used had extremely short battery life but this one lasts! The larger brush head thingy gets stuck/hard to remove to switch tools but that’s the only thing that annoys me. All other parts attach and detach with ease!

This vacuum is amazing. I didnt think i would like the battery power but this one was originally a V8 but that battery was weak. You can actually by an adapter for the V8 V10 and run with Makita, Dewalt or Milwaukee batteries. Well we didnt know and got a credit for 400 which made the V15 400 more than that. The battery lasts over an hour and the suction is awesome like a corded dyson. The light on the head illuminates all the dust as you watch it disappear. Worth it if you habe a toddler crawling around

I love having a cordless vacuum cleaner now! So much easier. I like Dyson products. This replaced a Dyson Upright Animal. The new vacuum is so much lighter. Only downside is I have to empty the dustbin more often. Also the carpet attachment doesn't clean as deep as my old vacuum. But the fact that it is so easy to use, I'm OK with it. You can vacuum in a jiffy.

We have had a Dyson DC35 for around ten years and really enjoyed it. We recently adopted two short hair white cats that are super messy and the DC35 wasn't able to pick up the litter and food very well so you had to sweep the house then vacuum up the fine dust. When I saw the V15 video on YouTube I was very excited to give it a try. The price is not something to take lightly, but if it holds up as well as our other Dyson, I feel it will be good value. Having compared specs of the V15 and our DC35 I knew this would be a huge upgrade, but even then I was blown away by how good the V15 is. The detect soft brush head is so nimble it's a joy to use, and the laser makes it fun and easy to find dirt and make sure you've gotten everything. I definitely works best in a darker room and I ended up using it with the lights off so I could see all the dirt even better. The laser is a game changer and not hype IMHO. The ability of this head to pick up liter and food bits in one pass is also wonderful. The torque head seems to do a great job on our rugs and carpets and seems to not get hair stuck on the roller unlike our old one. It is much bulkier, heavier and louder than the detect head though, but still maneuvers easily. Another thing I love is how powerful yet quiet the V15 is. On low it picks up dirt just fine and is actually more powerful than our dc35 was on boost! Kick it into auto mode and it does a good job of compromising. Even on higher settings it is still very tolerable noise wise, which is a huge improvement over our DC35. I would highly recommend purchasing a hose and extra tool holder for the V15. The hose works great for dusting with the soft bristle brush and the number of tools this thing comes with makes extra holder slots a must. I'm not sure why they still only give you two slots. The particle counter is neat if not necessarily important to the end user. It was amusing to see it count up and then max out from all the filth in our house. My only negative comment is about emptying the bin, which isn't new to the V15. You have to remove the attached tool before you can empty the bin unlike the older models where it came out the bottom. It does seem to empty better though, so I guess it's a wash.

I thought I lived in a clean home until I brought this vacuum home and used it for the first time. I was shocked at how much it picked up that I couldn't see. It is very easy to use and comes with numerous attachments but I will say it does require a modicum of arm strength to hold up for a prolonged period. Many parts are plastic so I'm unsure it would survive even one 'drop' without something breaking or cracking. Overall I love this product and highly endorse it!

One of the best vacuum's I’ve ever used. I’ve had the vacuum for a few years now and it works the same as the first day I bought it. The laser light has been very useful as well, it helps to see hair that might still be on hard wood floors or tile even in direct sunlight the charging dock that is comes with helps keep it put up and out of the was when not in use and all the different attachments just makes cleaning 10x easier. Highly recommend

I have not been a fan of Dyson for years. The first vacuum cleaner we had was the one with the big ball in the articulation, and honestly was never impressed by the efficacy of it. However…. This baby is a beast! Totally different concept, the suction is incredible and no comparison to a Samsung cordless we previously had. I used it in one of our rugs at home and could not believe the amount of trash that was collected! The laser feature to identify dirt in flat surfaces is very smart and clearly shows after a pass that all particles have been removed. Did not realize our floors were that filthy!!! The charge lasts long, have not used it for more than 40 minutes, but in auto mode I guess it should last about an hour. There is an indicator of the number of particles aspirated with numbers, which is actually striking. Some dirt is not quite visible and still is detected by the smart features of the vacuum. It comes with many accessories for different applications at home, you will practically need nothing extra to reach big or small spaces. I appreciate the ability of the machine to increase randomly the suction power according to different surfaces. Certainly a super high tech device that does the job beautifully. It is more expensive than competition, but I believe it offers much more. Only time will tell about reliability, but so far it is excellent and I highly recommend.

This Dyson vacuum has been put to work every day for the past two years i've bought it. Morning and night, it cleans up a whole 1500 sq ft house in less then a couple minutes. I have a dog that sheds allot of hair and I'm not sure what i would do without this vacuum, especially the laser head attachment. It helps find any hair and dust that might not be visible some times. Besides cleaning the floors, I've also used the dyson and it's attachments to clean my cars interriors and various other things.
