Don't buy Dyson; it's a piece of junk!!! It worked for less than two years and then failed. I ordered a new battery, but they said it had a bad motor. They are not willing to return my order.

I was skeptical about how good this vac could really be, but WOW! This is the vacuum I never knew we needed but would buy again in a heart beat. It really does everything the other reviews say. It is fantastic.

I love it but needs cleaned often. Easy and very good for small houses.

This is amazing, we absolutely love this dyson. It is fantastic to use around the house and for the car. We recently had some construction done to the house and with this vacuum it really made cleaning up messes very easy. Same goes for having kids and a cat, it picked up hair our old vacuum missed!

You think that your floor is clean. Wait until you use the Laser-Slim Fluffy cleaner head. The dust and dirt "glows". Now you know for sure which area(s) really need vacuuming. When you finish vacuuming with the Dyson - V15 Detect Cordless, you feel like have really accomplished something!

If you think your old vacuum did the job think again. This thing is still picking up dust from my apartment carpet. Don’t know how much of it is ours but this thing definitely is a hundred times better than my old plug in vacuum.

This is a really nice product and it does the job. I don't usually writes reviews, but this vacume deserves it. If you are looking for something practical and want to vacum some specific places at your home, this is the way to go. HOWEVER, if you think you can vacum the floor + the rest of your home, I would suggest to go with something weired. Battery is the only reason for me to not give a 5 star calification. If you want all the power, battery only lasts around 7 to 10 minutes....

I have never seen my wife vacuum so much.. she also stopped bothering me about cleaning ever since I bought her this vacumm.. never thought a vacumm could lead to so much mental peace.. highly recommend if your wife is a clean freak..

Two of my friends got it and are very happy with it. I ordered new one from BB and they sent me used one. I am very upset with BB as this is the second time. BB is going from bad to worst and BB is the last choice for buying anything.

I’ve been an owner of a few corded Dyson vacuums throughout the years and for the most part they have impressed me with how long they last and how well they clean. I’ve never owned a cordless Dyson vacuum though, so I was very excited to get my hands on this V15 Detect. Set Up and Wall Installation: The V15 came with a bunch of accessories and tools, along with a wall hanging attachment that is pretty much required since the vacuum cannot sit upright on it’s own.The tools included were pretty standard fare. Crevice tools, brush tools, a few brush heads, etc. The wall installation is pretty straight forward, but leaves a bit to be desired. I used the drywall anchors provided with the kit, but was disappointed that there is still left to right shifting of the entire unit once on the wall. I don’t really believe the unit will detach from the wall, but this is more of a flaw with the screw hole being much wider than it needs to be. Maybe there’s a design reason for this, but I don’t like that amount of play. Attachments and Accessories: The 3 main attachments that are shipped with the V15 are the Torque Head, the Fluffy Head and the Screw head. The Torque Head is primarily used for carpets, but advertised as working on all floor types. The Fluffy Head is advertised for use on hard surfaces and the Screw is a small attachment for stairs, pet beds, couches, etc. I’ve used all 3 and they do serve their purpose. I’m in absolute love with the Fluffy Head for my kitchen and bathroom areas though as it doesn’t spit and shoot debris around like my previous cordless vacuum did. The Fluffy Head also comes with a laser feature, which is awesome and scary at the same time. The green laser illuminates the path in front of the vacuum and shows you exactly how much dirt and debris is on your floor. It also shows you that your floor is clean when you make that second pass. This may be a feature I eventually turn off, but I can’t deny it’s very cool even if it seems a little gimmicky. The Torque Head is fantastic on carpet, but seems to not do as well on hard surfaces. The Screw head works wonders on my pet beds to remove Pug hair and on my couches as well. I could see myself getting a lot of usage from the Screw head in the future. Cleaning Performance: My main vacuum is a full sized Dyson Animal Ball and it works very well, but this Dyson V15 Detect gives it a run for its money. Even though the cleaning path is much narrower than my full size Dyson, the suction is almost comparable when using the Torque Head on my carpeted floors. The Torque Head is also equipped with anti-tangle brushes, which is fantastic because I usually have to clean the roller of any other vacuum on a monthly basis to get all my wife and daughter’s hair off of them. I’ve seen a few stray strands of hair accumulate on the Torque Head after some use, but nothing like what would be there if that technology wasn’t baked in. I was skeptical, but I do believe the Dyson V15 could be used as your primary vacuum for a small home without any real issues. The cleaning performance is on par with wired full sized vacuums and the bin is large enough to accommodate most full sized cleanings. Dyson also includes an LCD that shows you exactly what size particles and debris you’re sucking up, which is cool, but I’m not sure is going to be helpful to most people. The V15 also adjusts power automatically depending on how dirty an area is. Although I’m not sure how it knows, it does and it seems to do a very good job of it. I kept the unit in Auto mode during testing and saw no reason to manually change it to a specific power setting. Comfort: The trigger activation for the unit feels natural and works well for the most part. I didn’t feel fatigued when using it at all, which is essential. I could see people with hand mobility issues having a tough time with this unit though, but I believe that would be the same with any cordless unit like this. The weight distribution is amazing and the unit doesn’t feel top heavy when in use, although the battery does sit on the end of the unit. Battery Life: This was one of my main worries with the Dyson V15, but it turned out to be unwarranted. When cleaning hard surfaces with the Fluffy Head, the Dyson seems to have an endless battery life. The LCD on the top of the unit displayed times upwards of 75 minutes to me when vacuuming my kitchen, but quickly fell to 20 minutes and below when using the Torque Head on my carpeted areas. This seems very reasonable and should provide enough juice to clean a small or even mid sized house depending on what kind of flooring you have. The battery is also replaceable! This is actually super exciting and would have almost been a deal breaker if it wasn’t. Replaceable batteries are an absolute must on a unit like this that carries such a hefty price tag. Overall Impressions: The Dyson V15 Detect is an impressive vacuum and an equally impressive piece of technology. It has a laser that detects and shows you debris on hard surfaces, it has a display that tells you the size, in microns, of the debris you’re picking up. It has a replaceable battery, a Torque Head that doesn’t let hair wrap around itself and it automatically senses debris to adjust the power needed to clean it up. With all that said, the unit isn’t cheap, but if you want the best cordless vacuum on the market, this is it. With power and suction that rivals most full sized vacuums and a size and portability factor that makes it appealing to people that just want something easy to use, this Dyson hits all the right notes for a cordless vacuum.

This is my new best helper,it really get the job done. The time cleaning last until I'm done. I'm happy I don't have to wait for it to recharge to finish my work. I recommend this Dyson to anyone who needs deep cleaning or light cleaning. Do yourself a favor this is the best tool for the job.

My biggest complaint about my old Dyson V8 Animal stick vacuum is that it did not have a removable battery. With the v15, it does have a removable battery so my one complaint was fixed!

I bought this when our V8 quit holding a charge, bought it as we needed but also for the “detect” feature, its cool and shows you the dirt for sure, but we never use it now.. besides that this thing is junk. It worked ok for a while but eventually stopped collecting the debris in the canister. Now it will only go a few minutes and it gets clogged internally and wont allow the debris to gather in the canister, so it’s now useless. Also you have to remove the front nozzle to empty the canister , it’s jsut not user friendly. Would not recommend

You need super-human strength to push this vacuum on any type of carpet. Even very short carpet, it feels like it sucks itself to the floor so hard you can’t actually move it.

Absolutely wonderful vacuum cleaner! We had a Shark for years and thought it was great, but there is no comparison! This vacuum is a joy to use! You will not be disappointed.

Really impressed with how easy this Dyson makes house cleaning. The “flexible” head makes corners easy. Because it’s a wand I was able to vacuum drapes and walls. I clean more quickly, thoroughly and have energy left for the rest of my day. Very glad I bought the Dyson V15!
