    Malfunctioning (broken) Machine twice in 6 months

    This is a very overpriced product that barely delivers any resultsand is not worth $800. The first one I purchased had a malfunction after 3 months with one of its sensors, a very simple replacement. After 2 trips to the Dyson store for a replacement part, they told me I had to just ship the entire thing back to their manufacturer and they would mail me a whole new one. What a waste of materials! The second machine worked for about one month and then another sensor failed. I called Dyson again and they admitted that these machines are not working to their expectations and they hope that within the next month or so (July 2021) that they will have resolved the issue in the next generation of the machine. I asked for a refund and Dyson said they could not offer it. I have never seen a company so disappointing in how they treat their customers.

    Starts making a horrible noise!

    After a couple weeks to months—probably after most of these reviews have been written—these machines start making a high pitched screech. I’ve dealt with customer service repeatedly. I’m now on my SIXTH machine, and it’s started making the same horrible noise as all the rest. We can’t use this fan at night because it will wake us up. During the day we can often hear it from a different room. Customer service ultimately can’t do anything to help, because these devices are fundamentally defective. There are reports of this all across the Internet. Such a shame. Buyer beware!
