Completely died in less than 2 months. A replacement was given by Shark because it is still under manufacturer warranty. However, I'm not completely satisfied with this product. It doesn't help get rid of the cooking smell. I turn it all the way to full while cooking but still the cooking smell lingers all over the house. I feel like it was a waste of money, a very bad investment. It's very big, it's ok if it works but it doesn't. What am i going to do with this junk now?

Large, moderately loud, medium air flow, auto mode only detected 1 of the 3 times I burned food in the oven & never detected anything else

I loved this unit, used it 4 times. Set it on 1 hour timer last night. Woke up this morning and the power symbol wasn’t on the screen, checked other plugs and it still wouldn’t turn on. Called support and they said they’ve never encountered this because it’s so new and for me to take it back to best buy. Took it back and got the last one in the store. When it works it works great!

It works and looks good but performance actually did not conform to industry at all and shall be used only for small room.

The machine is advertised as quiet but I’m returning it because it’s loud. I wanted it in my main living area but it’s too loud.

It always says it’s at 100% it does seem to make the area smell different

Displayed 100% air quality out of the box. Emptied the vacuum canister in front of it, still 100%. Opened the sensor compartment in the back, sensor was not connected and harness missing. Returned.

Was good for the first 2 months. Now we feel like it does nothing

The Shark Air Purifier 6 is a great choice for anyone looking to get an air purifier that covers a large area, how large an area? No idea since Shark doesn't seem to have this information anywhere on their site or in their documentation on this air purifier. I can tell you that for my apartment it seems to cover my whole living space with no problem. On the auto setting, I have noticed that this air purifier is extremely effective at keeping the air quality in my apartment clean, the 6 fans are very quiet even when it kicks up to higher speeds. There are adjustments to lower the light levels so if you want to use this in your room you can adjust the display so it doesn't bother you while sleeping. Overall, this is an extremely effective air purifier that I would recommend to anyone, with no idea of the maximum room coverage it is hard to say how big of an area that this is effective in, but I think for most areas of your house this should be more than good.

We put this in a bedroom that we share with two dogs and it virtually eliminated the dog smells within hours. Super easy to set up and use. I did a “dust test” to see how well it would filter particles. I dusted everything in the room, from ceiling fan to walls to furniture, with the unit running in filtration mode. The display indicated that the air quality was around 80% while I dusted due to all the particles I was disturbing. After about 10 minutes the display indicated the air quality was back to 100%. The biggest downside for me is the remote sensor is placed so that the remote only works from a certain direction, making it inconvenient to place the unit behind a chair or other furniture if you want it to be more discreet (it’s rather large). A side note, this is definitely an air circulation and purification system, not a fan in the typical sense. It does discharge air from the sides, but directing that air requires moving the entire unit so the sides are pointed at you. Pros- easy setup, terrific dust/odor control, air quality info on display Cons- Remote only works from 1 direction.

I have never had an air purifier before and now that I have the Shark air purifier I wish I would've had one sooner. The Shark is awesome, it is incredibly easy to use and has two ways to operate it: a remote control and a touch panel that clearly informs of the air quality, filter life, and running mode/settings. The 6 fans give me some of the coolest and freshest air that it's noticeably made sleeping and relaxing at home far more comfortable. The only bad thing I have found is that the Shark can only pick up the remote if its pointed at the front face of the air purifier. This is a small nuisance in my opinion and I will still say the Shark is awesome and would absolutely recommend it.

The Shark Air Purifier 6 houses six fans and a large charcoal filter in its tall, sleek housing. It is easy to set up and operate—remove it from the box, open the filter compartment to unwrap the filter, and plug it into an electrical outlet. Touch the power button on top of the unit, and the Shark Air Purifier “reads” how clean your air is. The display tells you if your air is clean (100%) or if it needs cleaning, and the estimated time (minutes) to reach 100%. The air data button tells you the air quality for three sizes of particulate matter (1, 2.5, and 10 micrograms). The filter life button tells you the remaining filter life (when new, the filter is rated for 4400 hours). The auto button adjusts the fan speed as needed to clean your air, or you can set the fan speed manually. The fan is very quiet at its slowest speed, and quiet at medium speed, too. Bottom line: well-designed and easy to use. I could not rate this air purifier higher, as my air was too clean to start!

First time I turned it off, it won't turn back on. Remote or nothing works. What's up Shark??

It’s a great air purifier, it cleaned my living room air and I feel like I have no dust in the air. When I cook it takes about 30 minutes for it to clean the smells from cooking. It lets me know when the air is not clean and I speed up the air fan. I feel like I have the best clean air in my house now. I bought 2 of them and they work great.

I bought it because my senior dog is starting to have accidents while I'm at work or sometimes at night. I thought the auto setting would work but when there's an accident the machine still shows air quality at 97% and still on the lowest setting even though I can clearly smell it. Will be returning it.

Bought one, used it approximately 4 nights at most and it quit! Though I had an outlet trip a breaker possibly, long story short, went all through my house trying it on various outlets and the unit wouldnt even come on! Returned, would not buy another one!

Worked for about 4 months. No idea what's wrong with it..won't even turn on.

Item stopped working properly after a couple days in use. The machine kept turning itself off completely. It also would not turn on at times. Item was returned immediately.

So far so good. I am very happy with the look and feel of this air purifier. It works as well as it looks also. I plugged it in and was surprised the house was at 100% air quality. Once you start cleaning or cooking though it picks it up and immediately starts going to work cleaning the air.. Out of the box the fan is pretty high, but set it to auto and you can hardly hear it. When working though it will ramp up and get a tad noisy but nothing crazy, It isn't noticeable over music playing. So far the filter is just fine but it's only been running for a week. It came with a remote but I'm not sure if I'll ever use it. A longer cord would have been nice and a flat plug as well. Other than that it does what it says and keeps my downstairs fresh and clean.
