I Love ecotank

Great Printer! I highly recommend.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my new printer. The printing has vibrant colors. It has never jammed with my cardstock paper. It is easy to setup and easy to use. I can print from any of the computers in the house and my phone as well. Of course the EcoTank is amazing. My previous Epson was an EcoTank as well, so I was already spoiled with that aspect of it. (My other Epson still works great, it just doesn't like cardstock). I've been making bookmarks and greeting cards. (That's what you can see in the picture.)

Phenomenal
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best printer we have ever had. The color is so vibrant. We had a top of the line printer that had been discontinued and it died so we replaced it with this one and the vibrancy is levels higher with this one! I’d buy it again any day of the week! Easy to use, goes easy on the ink even when you’re goin hard.

Truly a all in one printer
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of the best all in one printers I’ve ever used. I enjoy the quick link that it has to set up with your phone and the fact that I could print out multiple sizes of paper, envelopes, and pictures.

Love the ET-8500
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great printer! Was looking for a printer that would print nice color prints and save money on ink. I was a bit concerned about the color quality as I have an epson et-2800 and it really is best for black and whites. I print a lot and the ink lasted me over 2 months before I needed to order more. Would highly recommend this printer :)

Exceeds Expectations!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A remarkable printer. Beautiful printing. You do, however, have to go online for complete setup as the enclosed startup sheet doesn't begin to describe the printer's capabilities as they far exceed what's advertised.

Using thick cardstock? Read this!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all, the colored prints are excellent for an inkjet printer, especially on glossy paper. Calibration was tricky, because none of lines looked the examples, so I just had to pick the closet option. I don't see any issues when things print, so I guess I did it correctly. Selecting cardstock 1 or 2 (for 0.61 to 1.3 mm thickness) requires use of the rear paper feeder slot, which can be a tedious process to set-up and requires easy access to the rear of the printer. That's just not an option for me, as my printer station is located in a corner against the wall. The thickest cardstock I will ever use is 0.1 to 0.2 mm thick, so I just select "matte presentation paper" and feed one sheet at a time through the vertical rear paper feeder, which works fine.

Amazing picture quality!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this printer for 2 weeks now and it's the easiest printer I've ever set up, hands down. I chose to initially set it up on my phone, and later one PC. Phone setup took about 20 minutes, this includes adding the ink and firmware/software updates. The printer comes with a full set of ink!! I was most excited about that. Printing photos off my phone is simple using the app. All I have to do is make sure that there's paper in the printer. The photos come out amazing just on standard quality. Photos do not take a crazy amount of ink either, which is nice. I can even print using the network on computers that I haven't set up printer software on yet- which is super nice. All features work and work well. The included scanner app is easy to navigate and works perfectly. It even scans to PDF, something that my last printer could not seem to do. The scanner has gotten a lot of use in the last 2 days and I have yet to end up with a document that doesn't look good. I love the touch screen. I can move it so I can see the screen, a nice touch. It has all the settings that I could want available. I like that I can copy and scan from there if I want to. There's even a button to close the output tray. When I print from a USB, I can use picture layouts to make collages, so I don't have to waste photo paper. Overall, this is a great printer. I haven't experienced any tech issues or bugs so far in my heavy use of it. Setup, use, everything has been very smooth and easy. Also-- paperjam free so far! Works seamlessly
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Impressive printer right out of the box. It has a sleek design and for how big it is, it is still compact. The start up instructions are labeled start here which was a nice surprise and made it very easy to set up. Once I turned on the printer the LCD screen gave me a QR code I could scan on my phone and it directed me to the app I downloaded and I could immediately start the setup process from my phone! There was no computer needed to set it up. It does come with the setup disc and usb connector cable if the computer needed to have it installed which is nice to have, I have backed it up since first install and it was just as easy. But the convenience of setting it up on the phone was huge for me. Filling the tank for the first time was a lot easier than I anticipated. I didn’t have any leaks or spills but it does warn of possible spills. Once it’s all setup this machine is amazing. Hands down the easiest and most advanced printer I have used. I am a big crafter and have a home office and this keeps up, and prints in amazing quality. The ink doesn’t bleed through and the photos are pristine and dry. I love that it has a cd/dvd print option too because I have talked about labeling all our old home videos so this will be a lot of fun. The paper tray cassettes hold a decent amount of paper and even has a cassette for photo paper. I have been using this for a couple weeks and I haven’t had one paper jam or misprint. All the functions have worked seamlessly the entire time. All the scans and copies come out perfect. There isn’t one flaw I ran into with this whole machine. The output tray is even automatic. This all in one printer outshines every other machine I’ve had hands down. Excellent quality prints
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The box was heavier than I expected. I’ve read reviews about flimsy paper trays, flimsy other things. I wouldn’t say that setup was a snap, but any extra time spent is so worth it for the quality it produces - setup is only one time. It came packaged very well. Lot’s of blue tape holding stuff together to remove, but each piece of tape had a handle, so it was easy. It took a few minutes to load the ink, but that’s the beauty of this machine - no expensive cartridges that seem to dry out too fast, not produce many prints, and end up in landfill. Filling was easy, fun to hear the ink glug glug into the tanks. The touchscreen was great, leading you through the whole setup. I didn’t use the App because our internet was down today - but unlike other computer products, it was easy to set up manually because of the touchscreen. I decided to do print alignment, easy to follow, though it took a while - and so worth it for the end result. The MacOS software behaved well. I wouldn’t call the paper trays flimsy. They don’t have the heft of my old laser printer trays, but materials science has come a long ways over the years. It did take a few tries to understand where tray #1 gets inserted though. But once I got it, it was easy. It took a while to find where to select tray #1 in the print menu, just a first time issue. But it would be better if selecting the tray was at the top menu instead of down two levels. There was no paper in tray #2, and paper in tray #1. It should have selected automatically. I finally let go of my expensive in its day Epson R2400, that produced amazing quality prints using nine ink cartridges and supported 13x19 inch paper. Amazingly the printer driver on my new MacBook Air M2 still worked. But the machine indicated yellow was empty, and after inserting a new cartridge, it still wouldn’t work. The software indicated all inks were empty. It was time to move on. My first few prints on the 8500 were surprisingly good. I wish I could print side-by-side comparisons to the old printer. With the Eco-Tank, printing on demand was suddenly less expensive than online services, especially when you include shipping and handling costs. I’m fine paying more for a printer up front - I disliked the ongoing cost of those cartridges. When I use quality paper on this machine, I get professional results.

Gorgeous printer with easy and simple set up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best printer I have ever had so far!! I was pretty excited by some of the features this printer has. I think the best feature is the ecotank where all the ink goes. It was a very easy and simple process by placing the ink bottles into the correct location and watching/hearing it fill the tank up. This was my first time replacing the ink this way so it was actually a bit fun compared to the traditional snapping in the ink cartridges into place. I really like that you can see how much ink you have left instead of a notification out of nowhere saying you need to replace the ink. Another feature that was a nice surprise was the tray that comes out automatically that holds the printed papers when you print. With my old printers, sometimes the tray would get caught while trying to pull it out or push it back in. With this printer, it conveniently comes out when you print and then you push a button on the touchscreen to make it go back. The touchscreen is wide enough to see the font clearly and didnt give me any issues with the touch sensitivity. With the initial setup, it was really easy! I read the paper instructions that came in the box and followed the prompts on the touchscreen. Setting up the wifi to the printer was simple as well. I could either set it up straight from the printer or through the mobile app. I downloaded the mobile app and followed the instructions there. It located the printer and done! I completed the set up and was able to start printing right away. The prints were clear to read with no smudges! If I had to find any fault with the printer tho, it would be the mobile app portion. I had some difficulty locating the printer because it wanted me to get permission to share my location through the app. I also had to use the same wifi I do with the phone (I tried to have the printer on a guest wifi account) so it couldnt locate the printer until I changed it to the same one. Those were the only two extremely minor issues I came across, but overall, I am really impressed and satisfied with this printer!! great little inkjet printer with scanner
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer replaced a current black & white Epson EcoTank printer that I had. This printer is smaller than my previous model and has a much more detailed LCD screen. I had tried out a laser printer from another manufacturer that had a much smaller LCD screen that did not display much info (generic codes instead of actual error messages), so it is nice to have a nice size screen to get info from the printer. The setup was very simple using the Epson Smart Panel app installed on my phone. After setting up the printer, I was able to successfully print from all of my devices (Android Phone, Windows 10 laptop, and Ubuntu Linux desktop). The printer also has auto-duplex printing so that you can do double sided print. I love having the duplex printing since it saves on paper. The print and scanning quality looks great. I have not had any issues with this printer since I have been using it and would definitely suggest it to anyone looking for an inkjet printer with scanning capabilities. Amazing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received the EcoTank Photo ET-8500 Wireless Color All-in-One Supertank Printer a few days ago and I have been using it to test it, the configuration was very simple, following step by step the instructions that the printer screen said, configure my Smart phone by downloading the “Epson Smart Panel” app and from my cell phone I can print or do anything with the printer, which is amazing and easy. The ink for the EcoTank system is supplied in bottles equipped with a specific valve that prevents the ink from spilling or staining, even if they are accidentally tipped over. It's simple and Epson thought of everything to make our work easier. The quality of the prints are AMAZING, I was even able to print photos on a glossy photo paper and it looks like they were printed by a professional, I am very happy with this printer. Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a review for the Epson Eco Tank photo ET-8500 wireless printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I have never been so impressed with a printer. This printer does everything the big ones do but is compact and easy to set up. Initial setup only took 7 minutes and that was even hooking my phone to it wirelessly. The touchscreen makes it so easy to use and understand. The ink is not only vibrant but way cheaper than others. The tray slides out when you need it and back in when you don't.I can print anything of my phone easily you can scan and print off of CD'S. This printer is beautiful and we'll worth the price

Epson quality printing
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far I’m very impressed. My a-few-years-old Epson Expression printer stopped printing, so I decided to replace it with an ink tank unit. Setup was a breeze with Epson’s excellent documentation, not to mention there are many related YouTube videos on the subject. The large display is bright and easy to use. I do print photos and this printer does that job so well, but it also does a decent job on documents. Wireless printing is a snap from my Windows 11 desktop and Windows 10 laptop as well as with all our iOS devices. I also scan to my computers fairly often and the Epson scan app on Windows works well. I had considered getting the large scale 8550 instead but I decided it would take up too much space on my desk. Overall, I am very pleased with the 8500.
