Bought this after having a smaller one for the kitchen. Has great suction and mobility as well as the ability to switch from bare floors to thick carpets. Easy to assemble / disassemble. More colors would give them full stars.

We love shark brands and have been loyal shark user since 2010, this is by far the most expensive shark vacuum we ever bought but it’s well worth it.

Vacuum's are a basic household tool but wow what a unit this is. The amount of dirt that this picks up compared to the high end Hoover we had is amazing. The versatility of how the unit comes apart and allows you do a variety of tasks is really what sets it apart from other vacuums. The attachment/wand even has a light on the end of it so you can see what you are doing. Emptying the dirt is simple although it needs to be done frequently due to the amount of traffic and dog in the home. The vacuum is very light compared to what we are used to and actually propels itself as you vacuum the carpet. We own a Shark floor steamer and this is a great companion to that. We are completely sold on this product and Shark.

Have seen this product advertised on TV and read ratings on the internet. It is everything I expected - Light, powerful, quiet, and versatile. The way it comes apart, and with the attachments, it convert into just the right tool for what your cleaning. The head is not quite as wide as bigger uprights, but it cleans really fast because it works with one pass. It is self-propelled by the beater brushes and the swivel head turns easily. It vacuums under the coffee table, too. Gets the job done quickly. Happy with it.

Good, But a Bit Lacking in Accessories & Features

I should state upfront that I received the Shark - Rotator Powered Lift-Away Deluxe Bagless 3-in-1 Upright Vacuum model NV751 for purposes of providing an honest and unbiased review. In many ways, the NV751 is a good vacuum. I think Shark is a good, reliable brand. Perhaps my own critiques of the vacuum are more nitpicks, but I expected a bit more from the vacuum in terms of features and accessories. It's a good vacuum, and I recommend it. But, some of the design decisions seem a bit questionable and I would have loved an easier way to clean the roller. Still, it's a powerful vacuum and the ability to switch from upright to above floor mode to powered lift-away with just a few clicks, make the device super convenient. Set-up: As an upright vacuum, the Powered Lift-Away Upright stands nearly 4 feet tall. The power cord reaches around 24 feet. The vacuum never felt too heavy to me, but even I can admit it isn't the lightest vacuum in the world. Power button and changes in floor type are set from the handle. Assembly from box to working vacuum shouldn't take more than a few minutes. There are a lot of buttons and latches on the device. It may take a bit to orientate yourself to which button does what, but it seemed pretty intuitive to me and my wife. With the exception of the roller, maintenance was pretty straight forward. Pros: Powerful. The vacuum has some power to it. It picked up debris missed by other vacuums. The swivel head is, as always with Shark vacuums, great. I really appreciate the HEPA Seal. The included lights on the handle and the motorized head, are also a nice touch. Cons: The motorized head accumulates hair. There's just no way around it. And it's not super easy to get to that head unit for cleaning. You have to flip the head unit upside down, remove a panel with either coins or a flathead screw driver (I recommend the coins), and then remove any hair with a straight edge or a pair of scissors. It's a clunky process and is easily my least favorite thing about the vacuum. Then there are the accessories. It comes with a pet attachment and a 12" crevice tool. I feel like that's the bare minimum and I would expect those with any vacuum. The attachments are supposed to be stored on the back of the vacuum, but in my experience, the pet multi-tool got in the way of wrapping the power cord. I have to take that attachment off every time I want to spool or unspool the power cord. Speaking of attachments, Shark has a lot of them on their website. There's home and car detail kit, dusting attachments, hard floor attachments, and the powered pet brush. I wish more attachments had come standard, but it's nice there are options that can be purchased separately. Conclusion: Nitpicks aside, I have enjoyed the Rotator Powered Lift-Away Deluxe Bagless 3-in-1 Upright Vacuum. I wish more accessories came included, but what's here works pretty well.

This is the best vacuum ever! It is light weight and easy to use. It picks up all the dog hairs on my rugs. I have even used this machine on my hardwood floors and it works perfectly. The best part is that I do not have to buy filters. I just remove the canister and eject it into my garbage. 1

    Powerful Vac for Pet Owners

I've owned Shark products probably as long as they've been on the market. When they started out, they were basically "2nd Vacuums", something to pull out quickly for a spill cleanup, keep in the basement, but not to do your major cleaning. Times have changed - this is a powerful full sized vacuum. While it's the most expensive Shark I've owned, it's easily the best and a world away from their humble roots. If you refer to the photos below, I think you can identify my need for a powerful machine - 2 golden retrievers, as well as a cat that loves to hide under furniture. Which highlights one of the best features of this machine - the lift away function. If you own an upright vac, you know how useless it is to get under a bed, tables, or any furniture for that matter. Separate the canister from the pole (with a click and lift), and you can get the brush head perfectly flat to maneuver under whatever area you're cleaning. Also a great feature to get under my toolboxes in the garage. Aside from the power brush, you get the standard crevice tool, and what they call a "pet brush." It's really just a bristle brush, it has the ability to snap off the bristles to turn into an upholstery tool. I would've preferred the bristles to be somewhat softer, something to do electronics, keyboards, etc. Of course, everything is available at a price, my feeling is that in this price range, they could've thrown in a couple of extras. That said, overall I'm very satisfied with the workhorse ability of this vac, and would recommend giving it a look over if you're a pet owner in the market for this style of machine.

    Amazing Vacuum

We've owned Shark vacuums in the past, but this is by far the best unit we've ever purchased. With a new dog as part of our household along with a new home in a much more dusty location out in the countryside, I felt we needed to get something more powerful than the stick vacuum we had to take care of our new wooden floors. The power of this one is amazing! It picks up dog hair like there is no tomorrow. The suction is fantastic, something I've had problems with in the past. The package comes with a pet multi-tool and a 12" crevice tool which is ideal for getting at any cobwebs that form in the corners and crevices where the walls meet the ceiling. I love the lift away mode which just offers up a lot more flexibility when you're trying to get things cleaned. Overall this is an amazing vacuum, with a 5 year warranty, and a great value (IMO) for what we paid.

My first upright vacuum. Takes awhile to get used to steering & using it. Still find a canister easy to maneuver. This vacuum has excellent suction & works well on hardwood or carpet. Takes less storage room. Cord long & often gets in the way. Wish I bought a self-retracting cord. Cumbersome to vacuum stairs due to metal pipe too long; wish it separated to half it's length. Attachments often fall off when using vacuum. Overall a good vacuum if you like uprights. However, I'd buy a canister next time.

The vacuum works great. Never lost suction and it came with a lot of materials. Being bag less helps a lot and easy to handle. Best part is that one can remove the canister and take it with you with out having the whole machine come with it.

Unbelieveable design for a vacuum cleaner

I never review items, but this vacuum cleaner is the best thing since sliced bread. I'm a Designer and stick by the mantra of Form Follows Function, so I'm am intensely aware of good and bad design in all forms of products. I have to hand it to Shark for this product, it is so well designed and easy to use...it's really unbelievable. It functions so well, it's actually quite delightful to not to dread vacuuming after pets hair and paw prints! As you work along room by room, it's so easy to just pop off the handle to get into corners, pop on the brush (which happens to have just the right angle for getting under cabinets at the kickboards, and unbelievably, just the right length of bristles that reach underneath a standard cabinet...that's design!) and then pop off the canister to get under furniture, pop it back on and go. I have an abnormally high pile area rug (like 2.5") which was very difficult to vacuum with my previous cleaner, and using the motorized head with out the canister attached allows for a much easier job. It works just a great with the canister attached using it as a full upright vacuum on standard high, medium and low pile wall-to-wall carpeting, the perfectly placed switch right were you thumb would reach (design!) allows you to switch from high pile, low pile and hard floor, without missing a beat. The attachment for hard floors with the micro pad attached is genius for hard floors between heavy mopping. I'm actually thinking about spraying the pad with a polish that would shine up the floors in one step! If you do this, just be sure there is no type of liquid that would be sucked up into the machine! So everybody talks about the power and the complete seal...and that's true. It is powerful and after you have vacuumed the machine itself is dust free...for those of us that like to wipe down before putting away which I had to do with my old machine. Also, no pet smell when you first turn it on! So...it truly is completely sealed...no hype! The motorized furniture head is great! Unlike others, it has strips of a material (like on those clothing brushes) that lifts stubborn pet hair up as the rotary grabs the hair and sucks it away...again, design. (what engineer sat around thinking of these features for a vacuum cleaner? One that knows how to clean!) Anyway, I can't say enough. This machine is so worth every cent. Keeping the filters clean...which again is designed to make it easy as heck, and the foam filter is washable...will keep the performance great for years to come. Mr. Shark Engineer, if I were to add one feature to make this machine absolutely perfect, it would be to have a self cleaning brush in the motorized head...then I would be completely spoiled! So...good luck all. You can't find a better machine out there, I promise!

Shark - Rotator Powered Lift-Away Deluxe Bagless 3-in-1 Upright Vacuum - Rose/Gunmetal I will start out by stating I am comparing to our DuoClean Shark Lift Away Speed that we have had a couple years. This Rotator Powered Lift-Away if larger, heavier, wider roller and the suction is incredible. Almost too much to be honest. A little hard to move on our new thicker style carpet. You definitely have to use the high carpet setting. I have had two of the Lift Away models and my wife loves them. You must make sure you maintain the filters and the roller. If you do, the vacuum will maintain great suction. The problem with the previous models we have owned is the hose at the bottom that goes from the handle to the vacuum head. After a few years that tube cracks, and you cannot replace it. You must replace the whole head ($96). (I point to this area in my picture) It does appear that this model comes apart in a way that you should be able to replace just the tube in the future. Plus this unit has a 5 year warranty. They power switch is also in the handle. I like the convenience of this, but it is hard to press and seems to hesitate to power up the unit after your press it. My wife and I both found this switch hard to work. We do love the LED light in the handle. This makes it very nice to see the area you are cleaning with the hand tools. Lights on head are good as well. I also found it a bit weird that when you wrap the cord for storage you end up pinching the bristles on the dusting brush. We are unable to vacuum our light bathroom throw rugs. Either too much suction or too much lift from roller. Standard crevice tool instead of the Duster crevice tool. The Duster tools is very useful, not sure why they don’t make this standard. I also feel the cord is too short. It is 25 ft. I have to reconnect multiple times to cover great room. Pros: LED light on handle Larger container for debris Powerful suction for deep cleaning Lift away allows you to get under tight spaces and reach overhead Future part replacement / maintenance 5 Year Warranty Cons: Hard power button Can’t do bath / kitchen throw rugs Included tools are nothing special 25ft Cord (may not be a drawback for some) Overall a powerful multi use vacuum. I would say if you have mostly carpet this would be a good choice. If you have mostly hard surface floors though I would upgrade to one with the DuoClean roller options. They pick up everything on hard surfaces and I prefer those models. Forgive my dual color old vac. I was hesistant to purchase this vacuum because of the price, but I had a gift card, a price match, and a reward so I figured what the heck. The moment I put together the simple parts (which by the way took all but 5-10 mins), and I plugged it in, I instantly felt the suction doing way more than my previous Hoover. It wasn't as loud as the other vacuums either. The attachments are great. It's super easy and lightweight. Makes cleaning so much more simpler. Even cleaning out the vent at the top of the hall near the ceiling is a breeze. No regrets what so ever. Definitley worth it. Glad I saw that stupid late night infomercial that sucked me into wanting one ha ha ha.

It's easy to use, has great suction, and helps me keep on top of the pet hair I have. My favorite thing is that the junk is sealed until you take it off the machine and dump it!! You can go from carpet to wand to long wand to hardwood floor and back again to carpet with little effort but maximum speed. You don't have to go hunt for the attachments cause they are already at hand. I love my new vacuum and it's well worth the little extra you may spend over any other less expensive ones in the stores.
