This printer surprised me regarding how easy and fast it is the print, scan, filling the ink ports, etc. I would recommend buying this printer for normal home printing.

Just set this up today! Set up was easy using mobile device to walk through the steps. This is my 2nd Epson EcoTank (when I moved I left my other with a relative because I wanted the ADF (auto document feeder) for multiple documents. This does not disappoint. I had my previous ET 2850 for over 3 years and only replaced the ink bottles 1 time. And the price was reasonable for the ink. Thank god for Epson for making my life less stressful, especially with 2 teens in high school using the printer all the time.

This is the best printer yet. Easy to use and the ink is true to color. The black is nice and dark also, can’t tell the copy from the original. The ink lasts for a very long time. I absolutely would recommend this printer to anyone who asks. I have gotten one for our office also. All the girls love how simple it is to us. Someone was on the ball to create this great printer.

The best thing going for this printer are the ink tanks and the extremely useful and ease of use Epson smart panel app. The display screen is not a touch screen and at the $350-400 price range you should get this. Navigation without it is awful, thank goodness for the smart app. The scanner tray feeder continually jammed. It may have just been that my machine was defective, but I would definitely caution if you need to use it often like I do. Print quality is pretty decent and photo quality is fair. All in all this printer is just okay and i beleive there are far better choices out there.

We upgraded from the 2850 and we couldn’t be happier. Ecotanks are the way to go! Plus this can handle scanning multiple documents. Fast scans and fast prints! Helpful Fact: We just learned (but it’s kind of common sense) that you need to keep the color inkjets healthy by printing something that uses all the colors at least once a week. I found one of a million available color print test patterns or you can easily make one yourself. It doesn’t have to print full page, but enough to utilize the ink and lee the nozzles clear. Happy printing!

I’m impressed with the Epson ET-3850 printer/scanner. The setup was easy and I love the idea of only adding ink every six months or so. The scan and print utilities were easy to find and download and work very well. Despite the somewhat expensive initial price, I am very happy with this printer so far. My wife has been very happy with the photo printing as well.

After a fair amount of online research, I decided to go with the Epson Ecotank ET-3850 all-in-one inkjet printer. It was very easy to set up with my iMac 24 and the quality of the prints is excellent. The scanning function works well. I have not tried to print any pictures, but if the reviews are correct, the quality should be quite good. Filling the tanks was easy and clean. Overall I have been impressed so far.

Was looking to replace my old printer (home use) that was failing. After reading several reviews on various models/brands, I settled on this model. I especially liked the refillable ink cartridge feature. Set up was easy although I would recommend using the QR code method vs the manual. QR code method was clearer & easier than the manual method. Following the step by step as shown, it only took 15 minutes to set up. Part of that is a warm up period to initialize the print head. Connection to my router was a snap. Computer recognized the printer. Note: don't forget to make this printer your "default" or you'll be like me wondering why it wasn't printing. So far, very happy with this printer.

In my experience, there are certain items that are worth paying a premium for. A good printer is one of them. My previous printer had been a entry price point printer from Canon. I have nothing bad to say about the brand, but you get what you pay for. I had continuous problems maintaining a WiFi connection, and the experience was poor overall. Over the lifetime of the printer, I spent way more on cartridges than the printer itself. I was just waiting for the thing to die, so I could buy a proper printer. After buying this Epson, the immediate out of the box experience was so much better, and the build quality difference was obvious. Set up takes a bit of time to get the ink tanks all filled, but the whole process is guided by an app or the display on the printer. Getting the printer on the WiFi was very easy, and all of my families' computers recognized it instantly with no lengthy setup per computer. So far, I am so much happier with this choice than a bottom end printer. Again, I have had three or four printers from Canon, so that was my first preference, but my mind was made up that I was done with buying expensive printer cartridges. When shopping for an ink tank printer, I did my research, and there is none better than the Epson. That is probably why Best Buy's offerings seen to guide customers that direction. So, the choice was clear on brand, and the only thing left was to decide which price point. Front paper tray? Document feeder? Those are just personal choices. Happy shopping.

I just love this printer. I had always had an HP but my daughter talked me into getting the Epson she loves. I am glad I did, so easy to use, priced right, printer ink is great and the outcome is beyond expectations.

I had a WF3640 that was a great printer for 7 years. So naturally I went looking for another Epson. These models caught my eye cause of no cartridges to deal with. That is one of the Pro's. Clean clear printing is another. Have done a few color printing which looked good but no photos yet. Con's only one paper tray, I do envelopes and PDF's mostly so kind of a bummer. Second I can't control the scan from my computer I have to do it on the printer. Maybe I haven't installed the Smart Scan right. Overall I'm happy with the purchase

Surprised that this printer is as good as it is. I’vehad color laser printers for the last 12 years and never thought I’d go back to any kind of injet, but decided to try this one from someone’s recommendation. We’ve used it a lot with a lot of color and the ink in the sealed wells hasn’t even moved. With the right paper, is has laserlike print. Prints on bothe sides, is lighter and smaller. Overall great purchase.

The Epson EcoTank ET-3850 All-in-One Supertank Inkjet Printer is a game-changer for those tired of constantly replacing ink cartridges. This printer's standout feature is its refillable ink tanks, which can save you money and hassle in the long run. The setup is straightforward, and the tanks hold a significant amount of ink, reducing frequent refills. Printing quality is impressive, delivering crisp text and vibrant colors, whether you're printing documents or photos. Its multifunctionality—printing, scanning, copying—is convenient for home or small office use. Wireless connectivity options make it easy to print from various devices, and the intuitive control panel simplifies navigation. However, the initial cost might be a bit higher than traditional inkjet printers, but the long-term savings on ink outweigh this drawback. Overall, the Epson EcoTank ET-3850 is a reliable, cost-efficient printer that delivers high-quality results, making it a smart investment for those seeking convenience and value.

My only complaint is noise it makes. I'm still not used to it and it's loud as it starts off. Print quality is good and speed is great. I wasn't here wher tech installed it so missed basics like how to turn it off. The fact that u have to push 2 buttons took a bit to figure out. Overall we like it very much.

Can't believe what a difference in this printer vs our older model. Hoping the ink savings will help pay off in the long run. Set-up took a little longer than other printers, but we have it working great now! Wireless works great can print from phones or computer.
