Changed our meal prep life very quickly. Got better results from oven, less smell and hassle free for cleaning up. Chose this one as it has a great capacity. The only improvement area is having it better equally cooked. For fries, some areas are crispy while some areas not that crispy

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this thing! I've cooked all my life but find that I'm not a huge fan of spending a lot of time in the kitchen cooking now. I haven't even used all of the settings yet but I can attest to all of them except "dehydrate". I like that "grilled" taste without having to go outside and light up the grill. Chicken and beef come out juicy. Just buy meat, marinate and put it in for a quick meal. Anything that produces great taste and cuts my time in the kitchen down, gets 5 stars from me.

The ninja air fryer is the best easy for my teenagers to use for fast easy snacks. The double air fryer comes in handy when making two separate foods. I use it especially with my wife is working late and have to make a quick fix dinner for the little ones such as fries and chicken nuggets. The air crisp makes potatoes, nice and crispy.

Where to begin. Speed: Way quicker than an oven, even a toaster oven. We never preheat. I’ve seen that some people do, to each their own. Noise: It does produce more noise than an oven but that’s expected and isn’t a deal breaker unless you desire absolute silence. Function: Works better than anticipated. Tons of room. Cooks evenly. Frozen or fresh, protein or veg, no issue. Cool time takes a little getting used to but also depends on quantity. Short learning curve required. Cleaning: E to the Z. So much so, we have yet to put racks in dishwasher. Is dishwasher safe for racks and drawers (so it says). Food comes right off, even if not immediately cleaned.

In a world of chaos, where cooking home cooked meals after long shifts seems like an impossibility, this amazing air fryer has come into our lives to help us cook delicious air-fried meals not only delicious but incredibly convenient! It is amazing being able to conveniently and easily use both baskets separately, together, or one at a time. Many of our meals include air fried vegetables and it was always inconvenient with our old air fryer to have to go one at a time on each batch of vegetables. Now we can start two separate foods in the different air fryers at different times and temperatures as needed, which is awesome! One reason why I love this air fryer so much is that unlike many of its counterparts, both the crisper plates and the baskets are approved by Ninja to be washable in a dish washer! They do have an asterisk on the baskets that this can shorter their lifespan, but when talking about convenience it is incredibly nice to be able to just stick these in the dishwasher when done cooking. The truth is that many air fryer baskets get burnt out prematurely by old grease and food particles getting burnt and baked onto the bottom of the baskets which overtime will greatly reduce their efficiency. So, it stands as important to make sure you wash your crisper plates and air fryer baskets. A couple of features I would like to see added to future iterations of this product are auto-pause on the respective heating element if a basket is pulled out, and an auto-start or delay timer on the individual baskets so you could have them set to automatically start at a given time. Also, this is not so much of a downside but just wanting people to be aware to double check the dimensions of this air fryer against their counter-space. We put our air fryer in the pantry as it does take a lot of space up lengthwise. Surprisingly, this is no wider than our previous 4-quart single basket air fryer. Otherwise, I have minimal to no complaints at all about this Foodi air fryer! Thanks for reading and hope this helps guide your purchase!

The Ninja Foodi XL 2-Basket Air Fryer will have you cooking great meals out of the box. The air fryer’s baskets are spacious and can even fit a whole chicken in a single basket. I’m someone who can manage to burn water yet I was able to cook wonderful tasting meals of steak, salmon, broccoli to name a few of the many that I’ve tried so far. The fryer comes with the two non-stick baskets and two non-stick crisper plates all of which are easy to clean. It has air fry, bake, roast, air broil, reheat, and dehydrate as selectable options. Each zone can be set to its own temperature and time. If you want to cook two different things, one in each basket, then you can use the SMART Finish option which delays starting of one side until the time on the other reaches a remaining time that is equal to the time set on the other zone. This allows both zones to finish simultaneously. You don’t have to worry about one thing cooling down too much before the other completes. This is a great feature added in by Ninja. You can also pause either side during cooking which allows you to check on the food. If all is good, you can resume again. Another feature is the Match Cook feature. This allows you to use both sides with the same setting but only have to enter the settings once. It will copy the settings to the other zone which saves a little time. The buttons are large and easy to read. The LCD screens on each side of the front are easy to read as well. The design is simple and straight forward. Both the baskets and crisper plates are very easy to clean. After cooking steaks, the cleanup of the baskets and plates was quick and easy as the non-stick coating on them is good. The crisper plates each have 4 rubber feet on them which keeps the plates elevated above the bottom of the baskets and they extend to the side corners of each plate which keeps you from accidentally scratching the sides of the baskets when putting them in and taking them out. So far I see no indication that the rubber will go bad in time, but time will tell. Ninja includes a quick start guide with it. The guide contains listings for many types of food and the suggested cooking times. This helped me to get up and running quickly otherwise I would have had to pause often to see if the food was done. Best practice would be to pause the fryer when something is getting close to done to verify all is good which I do by way of the pause feature. I really like that I can pause/resume and use the SMART Finish option. The Foodi XL makes cooking so easy. If I could give it six stars I would. I’m very happy with the air fryer and I’m glad Ninja made a product this good. I would recommend this to anyone wanting an air fryer with great features and spacious baskets.

For several months I have been evaluating and learning to love dedicated air fryers. My initial exposure left me cold. Our first air fryer had a single small cavity which, obviously, limited its value as compared with multi-function countertop ovens that also feature an Air Fry setting. With those countertop combo devices, I discovered the interior mess they produce. These upscale toaster ovens have been gaining traction. It is hard to discount 7-, 8- 9- even 10-in-1 combination devices for their apparent space-saving and multi-use benefits. I learned that the extra cleanup required by their use as an air fryer and countertop broiler was not a time saver. Now, there is nothing inherently wrong with those countertop combo ovens, but I can do without the mess and cleanup, so I do not air fry foods that make a mess inside. In my kitchen and with my home crew, I value my time. With two separate and equal five quart baskets, each individually addressable and controllable, it is said we can do two unique and distinct preparations in each basket. Yes, it is two air fryers in one. **WHAT’S IN THE BOX** • Ninja Foodie 6-in-1 10-qt XL 2-Basket Air Fryer • Documentation • Warranty **THE SETUP** There is not much to set up. First, wash both baskets and both inserts in preparation for first use. The interior and inserts are coated with non-stick material. The baskets and inserts are dishwasher safe. Settings include Air Fry, Air Broil, Roast, Bake, Reheat, and Dehydrate. Temperature settings range from 105º to 450º, the lower setting used for dehydrating fruits and meats. Be wary of what appears to be the same model as this, sold elsewhere. It is NOT the same. The downside of the others is the temperature that can go only to 400º. This model is much more versatile, and, in my view, preferred. Here are two unique features of THIS dual air fryer (from the manufacturer): • DualZone™ Technology allows you to choose between the Smart Finish feature, which unlocks cooking 2 foods 2 ways that finish at the same time, and the Match Cook feature, which easily copies settings across zones for full 10-qt. capacity meals. • IQ Boost optimally distributes power across each basket to cook a 6-lb. whole chicken and side as quickly as possible when Match Cook or Smart Finish is not selected. **WHAT IS AN AIR FRYER?** An air fryer is a convection oven by any other name. It has a top-mounted electric baking and broiling element with a fan to move the hot air and provide the convection effect. They do not “fry” food in a traditional sense. It is a marketing term to suggest that the results are healthier than traditional frying. Aren’t those marketing and advertising experts clever! Results are only healthier than traditional “frying” when using little to no oil as compared to frying with and in oil. Now, back to the review. Scanning the manual and the Internet, it’s time to choose a couple of items to start testing versatility. Yes, it’s time to . . . **PUT IT TO THE TEST** My go-to test has been air frying a large, whole chicken. All of us here have come to absolutely love air fried, no-oil-added chicken. Not only is it consistently moist and flavorful more than other methods, but the cleanup is far and away the easiest anyone could encounter. With NO external mess and NO internal mess because all the splatter, the fat and what is encountered in conventional roasting is contained in the basket. The basket’s deep sides go very near to the electric burner at the top of the inside cavity. Whatever splatters up to the burner is burned away. For the other basket we decided upon air fries. I cut up russets, liberally sprinkling with salt, pepper, smoked paprika and freshly minced garlic. Set on Air Fry, the nearly 6-lb chicken would take about 50 minutes, turned once. The air fries would take about 40 minutes at a lower temp, shaking the basket once. I used the Smart Finish feature to test if both could be finished at about the same time. Both came out perfectly and finished at the same time. This is impressive! Over the course of the next three days, I dehydrated apples to perfection. Then I seasoned some raw tri-tip and sirloin strips and made my own version of sugar-free jerky. Very tasty! Next, baking. I found a recipe for air fryer cinnamon muffins and another for corn bread. Both were perfect. And finally for this round of tests, an Air Fryer stir fry with marinated veggies, completely prepared in the bottom of the basket without the screen on the Air Broil setting. They were as if pan fried in the basket with the broiler-like heat from above. The lack of mess was so welcome and the result was the same as doing this on the stovetop. Every six minutes I pulled out the basket and gave the contents a stir until done, about 35 minutes at 330ºF. I am sure we will be more creative in the future. For now, with nearly daily use, I am finding a place to stage it for convenient access. Cleanup has been easy as expected. I have both hand washed the basket and screen as well as cleaned both parts in the dishwasher. Easy as can be. This is a major plus. **CONCLUSION** For anyone who can make use of what is functionally two separate and identical high quality 5-qt Air Fryers side-by-side within a single housing, this is for you! And remember, the IQ Boost setting assures that both sides will be done at the same time if you choose to use this feature. **WARRANTY** One year manufacturer’s warranty

The Ninja 10qt XL Air Fryer is simply an amazing small appliance for any household that likes to try and save some money by eating in instead of always getting carry out. I had a 4qt air fryer that opened my eyes to the possibilities of what a dedicated air fryer could do, but the small size capacity always limited what it could do for us. We loved doing chicken wings in it, but it could never hold enough to feed the entire family. We also enjoyed doing potatoes or fries but we still had to cook the protein on a cast iron or sous vide. The Ninja 10qt with 2x5qt baskets had been a total game changer for us. Not only do we more than double our wing capacity, we can also now do two different seasoned wings at the same time. Buffalo wings for my wife and I and lemon pepper chicken for our kids. And we can do probably 4 dozen wings at a time while before it was only about 20 or so max on the 4 qt. Another great feature of the Ninja 10qt is you can set the baskets for 2 different cook types, temps and times and then do a smart cook so they both finish at the same time!!! chicken on one side, veggies on the other. Or brussel sprouts on one side, root veggies on the other and add a protein from the grill and it all finishes at the same time! It also does great for processed foods like chicken nuggets or pizza bites. And maybe the best feature is it does an amazing job of recrisping fried foods like French fries and fried chicken. It’s not as good as fresh fried but it’s probably 90% as good and crispy!!! Five guys fries are great reheated especially since they give you so much. A few other notes compared to other air fryers like the countertop ovens with air fryer is that this unit has no warm-up or pre-heat time. Cooking time starts immediately. Also, it is quieter and easier to clean and also doesn't have that burning oil smell the countertop oven has. The crisper pans can be tosses into the dishwasher and the trays are easy to clean. The only minor complaint is the unit is so large. My wife complained about it but after making a few great meals this week, she hasn't complained so much. Definitely recommend this for everyone with a growing family to feed!!!

Our family uses an air fryer 2-3 times a week. The Ninja Foodi XL 2 Basket Air Fryer has taken air frying to another level, making it so much easier to cook meals that have different fried elements to them, with different cooking times, and having them end the cooking cycle at the same time. Brilliant! An easy example for us, was cooking fries for my 10 year old son's dinner, while my wife and I wanted garlic bread to go with our spaghetti and meatballs. We love cooking garlic bread in our air fryer (we've used our 'old' Ninja Foodi XL 5.5 quart air fryer for a couple of years now), and we've found that the garlic bread comes out nice and crispy on the outside with a soft, juicy, garlicky center, far better than broiling. And fries, they are fantastic, about 14 mins at 350 and they are perfect. Really crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. We don't add any oil to them at all, and they taste fantastic. Now, the beauty of this air fryer lays with the dual zone technology, with dual baskets, which means you can cook two different types of food, two different ways, for two different times, and still have them finish at the same time! In our example, we had the garlic bread cook for 9 mins at 375, and the fries for 14 mins at 350, and they both came out perfectly. With 6 programmable functions including Air Broil, Air Fry, Roast, Reheat (which is the absolute best for revitalizing pizza - seriously, try it!), Dehydrate and Bake, you have plenty of options with this machine. Coupled with dual 5 quart baskets, you have great capacity to make a complete meal, or a huge capacity using the 'Match Cook' button for a combined 10 quart capacity (think fries or chicken wings!). The baskets are dishwasher safe, along with the non-stick crisper plates that allow the hot air to circulate under the food. This is a really easy to use system, with intuitive controls. I only had two challenges with the unit. 1. Coming from the Ninja Foodi XL 5.5 quart unit, if you pulled the basket out, the machine would pause, stop the timer, and cut the heat to the machine. This new Ninja Foodi XL 2 Basket Fryer DOES NOT pause when you pull the basket out. When you do, the counter continues to count down, and the machine does not turn off on that side. However, you CAN pause it. You have to press the pause button (press in on the silver dial) in order to pause the cooking, if you want to check on the progress. I loved the fact that my previous air fryer would automatically pause, a great safety feature, but this one is lacking in that area. 2. My previous air fryer had a round basket, and as such, it had 3 rubber feet on the crisper plate. That makes it so easy to remove from the baskets. With the new Ninja Foodi XL 2 Basket Fryer, the crisper plates are rectangular, and have 4 rubber feet on them. They are a lot more difficult to remove from the basket, and the small handle in the middle feels even smaller than before compounding the issue. Aside from these two small things, as I say, you CAN pause the machine manually yourself, so it's definitely not a deal breaker, just used to it automatically pausing, and the crisper plates being a little more difficult to remove, I am really happy with my Ninja Foodi XL 2 Basket Air Fryer. It's a great addition to the kitchen, it looks great, and performs really, really well.
