This is the second Shark product I have, and it is just as great as the first. I needed a new vacuum, and this caught my eye for its versatility. I recently adopted a dog, and the pet hair has been nonstop, but the Vertex pro keeps up. It’s easy ability to go on carpet or hard flooring is a dream, and it has a special mode for longer length carpet. The vac comes with a battery pack, and you must charge it first. It’s easy to tell what is wrong. Mine came in hot from the Arizona sun, so it was blinking a special code indicating the battery was out of temperature for charging.. kind of thought that was cool. It took about two hours to charge but nothing I couldn’t wait for. The motor unit is a bit heavier than my old one, but my place is small, so weight isn’t a concern, it has a display to indicate charge level, and the modes you have selected. The wand attachment is a bit lengthy, but what it does is cool. It folds in half for storage purpose, which I found to be a bit awkward at first, but it’s an intriguing design choice. I use it mostly in floor mode with the motor unit attached, and the self-cleaning brushes are nice to have. The “headlights” on the floor motor unit were thoughtful as I can see the dust and dirt on the floor vanish when I sweep back. Its dust bin is very easy to clean, just push and tap, though with pet hair and toy stuffing, you’ll have to dig it out sometimes. The vac motor is smart, and it shuts down immediately when a clog is detected, so disassembling it to clean it all out is very easy as well. If you have a small place, and pets, I really recommend this vac, it even comes with couch cleaning tools for different material types as well.

The head with the brushes broke and the entire head needs to be replaced. It's not fixable and the part is out of stock from the manufacturer and can't find it anywhere, even used on eBay. Best $450 I spent.

I am very happy with the performance. It works good on both hard floors and carpet. I can clean my whole house on one battery charge.

Wow so many features. 99% perfect. Self cleaning brushroll, no hair wrap. Reach, store and charge anywhere. Convert to hand vac. Headlights. Very easy to use, easy to maneuver and clean very well because it is very powerful. I love it! Once folded, very easy to carry with 1 finger. I wish it has onboard storage similar to the full size vacuum and I wish it comes with smaller powered brush for use as hand vac that is why I said 99% perfect. Battery last long time, still 100% after cleaning a room.

Packaging was very well thought out and not much assembly was required. 1st impression is it is well built but will not stand up by itself. Pros and cons. Pros: Swivel function is great. Very maneuverable Good attachment features Light on head is great Has great suction Don't have to mount on wall to charge. Have had Shark products in the past and they have proven durable Cons: A little too top heavy when using. Battery life is not the greatest. I was doing the top floor of my house.(3 bedrooms, kitchen, living and dining room approx. 1500 sq.ft.) and I ran out of battery in the last room. Battery might last longer at lower suction rate but I feel that would sacrifice cleaning quality. Overall it does a great job but if you are doing a large area prepare to take a charging break sometime. I have numerous Shark/Ninja products and have been well satisfied with all of them for quality and durability and see no reason why this won't be the same.

This vacuum is fantastic! Easy to use and very powerful. I’m about to take it to our camp (which has no electricity) with an extra battery and clean some very dirty rugs

A little pricey but otherwise seems to be a very good vacuum. The attachments that come with it a good general attachments that I most commonly use. If it weren’t for being a little high in price for what you get as far as attachments I will give it a full five star but functionality in vacuum capability I would give it a full five star.

Very light and extremely versatile. Very easy to get under tables and other hard to reach spots.

I bought this vacuum as a Christmas gift for my sister. She loves it! Even her husband has started vacuuming. This is their first cordless vac, and they like the freedom from cords and plugs.

This product initially was fine. After 6 months I'm constantly unclogging around the rollers. I don't own a pet. It picks up dust fine off the carpet, but little items like sunflower seeds or Cheerios don't pick up properly. These items never make it to the dustbin. They end up getting stuck in the rollers. I shouldn't have to unclog monthly. I think I'm going back to my Hoover Windtunnel

Amazing vacuum works perfect wonderful yee yee yee

My favorite vacuum. So light and easy to move around. The two things I would change are it’s to top heavy and no easy way to leave it standing alone, not even up against a wall as it ends up falling and scratching the floors. The other is it should come with a brush attachment not just a crevice tool.
