Another Wonderful Purchase from my Second Home
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of the best of HP. With such high specs I found the 2-in-1 to be very high rated in my book! After days of research I decided to get the Core i7-evo Processor. With its independent and integrated GPUs it makes this computer a powerhouse. It does more than I want it, but that’s what I expect from Best Buy products! I had my previous HP 2-in-1 since 2019 and did not want to let go (even that is a workhorse) after upgrading it with an SSD now I have two heavy-hitters to manage for 2023 and beyond!!!

Best Laptop/tablet combined
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, best purchase of my computer life. This is the first conputer I have chosen myself, and it fits the bill. I also wanted to thank the Best Buy associate who spent a lot of dedicated time with me discussing my options as well as going through the trouble of finding the only one in store (and it was used so it was cheaper than originally planned!) I love the versatility of this laptop, and I use it for practically everything. iPad who? Just kidding! Procreate is just next level, but I have utilized the tablet side for touching up photos and editing items for my Cricut. It is also black and rose gold so... I love it. Thank you again!

HP Spectre OLED Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Spectre at $1399.99 price point ($600 off)... And it's a really nice machine, but ultimately I returned it for the 3K version because of the value. The OLED panel and Arc GPU weren't enough for me to justify spending the extra $400.

Excellent Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent laptop with very good processer. The OLED screen picture quality is stunning. The only drawback is there is only one USB-C port. The keyboard backlite is beautiful. Battery life is exceptional also.

Best windows laptop I ever used
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using this HP Spectre for all day to day activities. It has definitely been a great experience so far. I have been using it for web browsing, watching online videos and streaming content, editing images for social media and some java coding using Eclipse. So far i have noticed that the battery performance is very good and even though i am using brightness on higher side and multitasking while using multiple heavy applications at the same time. The graphics performance on the new Arc Graphics has been great as well with me playing some pc games. I have noticed the audio quality is really good and all ports in the laptop are easy to work with. I used laptop for lot of video conferencing as well and it works good. Wifi connectivity is great and does not interrupt which i had problems in past with other laptops. Overall performance for me was definitely great given i am using it for more heavier softwares than most other people like gaming and coding etc. I have not noticed any lag and delay or hung states so far. I have used macbooks and other laptops in past but this one is definitely on top compared to all windows laptops i have used. Compared to mac i think this is better in few aspects one is touch screen, display size and quality also sound is better. One stand out is that you can flip the keyboard and screen and use it as tablet. I think one of the improvements could be the camera. The quality could definitely be better, so needs little improvements there. Keyboard and trackpads are flawless. It comes with intel evo processor. Definitely a great booster in hp series. I can definitely see how powerful it is and haven’t faced any issues as heating or fan noise. Editing images and videos has been so easy with this given graphics card and processor are so smooth in working together. Bigger touch screen and touch pen helps editing so so easy. Connecting to external monitors or devices is as simple as plug and play. With the battery life i have been very satisfied and haven’t found a need to charge the laptop throughout the heavy use of 1 full day which for me is easily 8-10 hrs. The CPU performance is great. I have been using this laptop for some coding and performing some CPU intensive tasks and it has responded really well to my surprise. I also used it to work on msft word, excel and power point and no problem there at all. The overall configs of this laptop are top notch. I am current user of mac and some windows laptop but this one stands out really well. It has great performance, configurations, graphics and features like touchscreen. Its very stylish to the looks for those who want a stylish laptop. Its little heavier but given the screen size and laptop size itself i think it is something expected. Overall a great laptop to have. I received this product as part of a free sample program.

On sale OLED's the best OLED
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this laptop when it was 1,300 bef taxes and it performs very well. True to the EVO platform the instant wake snappy and lets me get back to w.e I was doing immediately and the 12th gen Intel multitasking is smooth as butter. Mostly use it for work, school, media and light coding and it handles the jobs without issue. This laptop design though, so clean! I like this almost light black to light gold combo, very eye catching. I've seen some reviews about drive issues, time not adjusting correctly but seems HP fixed those problems. The fans are pretty quiet, gets louder watching movies/shows but not intrusive. There's an HDMI port, thunderbolt port, USB port and aux port. Displays phenomenal the OLED makes colors richer and the blacks in media aren't patchy like in lower yield displays. The speakers are POWERHOUSES but they get a bit muddy as you take the sound past the 70 mark. Was just to test it though, never needed to go beyond 45-50 even with the fans working during long use. The touchpads large and accurate. Batteries alright, if your primarily working or using it for school work it'll get you through the day, but bring your charger when your out. Keys are strong and ngl fun to type on, but the layout for the corner delete, page up, etc. keys are different the make space for the side speakers. Didn't bother me but just an fyi. Overall when discounted from that 2k price tag the laptops perfect for the everyday user, form work to watching stuff to schoolwork. If your doing graphics intensive work, prof gaming movie/4K+ video editing on the go I'd pass this up, it's simply not powerful enough for those tasks.

Bubbles under screen
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this laptop and while I was setting it up I noticed bubbles that seemed like they were under a plastic screen protector. I thought no problem I’ll peel the plastic off after I’m done setting up the pc. Figured out there was nothing to peel off. Got my computer exchanged for another one. Same thing. Bubbles that are under the screen. Can see them clearly when the screen is off or that particular part of the screen is dark.

Excellent laptop for daily use for developers
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent 2-in-1 with a solid build quality, new-age intel evo core i7 with 1TB SSD. Checks all the boxes for using as a developer laptop. I especially loved the HP pen, although I wish they found a place to slide it in and keep it intact with the laptop (more than the magnetic). It is little heavy compared to the Microsoft Surface that I have. I liked the thinking behind the placement of the USB C and 3mm jack - nicely tugged away in the top edges. The button for muting the camera is a huge plus. Battery lasted the entire workday for me, although the system was heating up quite a bit when on charge. Touch screen functions smooth and the screen has very good clarity. I liked the addition of fingerprint sensor in the keyboard layout - although often I seem to use it for pressing down Ctrl. placement is kind of weird and the missing ctrl key on the right of the keyboard is something that one need to get used to. I watched some videos through streaming and the Bang & Olufsen speakers did more than justice in the sound department. I am not saying they are like home theater, if you ever have to watch movie in a laptop, these speakers are going to work more than fine. I appreciate the inclusion of the HDMI port and regular USB. I see some of the recent laptops are missing these ports and it is not ideal when I have to do a client presentation and one of these ports are missing. Overall, it is an excellent performance machine for developers and definitely above expectation for daily use. Solid processor, ton of storage, good memory, and the pen are the biggest selling point. Hp did everything it can to make it practical and a lots of nice touches that will be good talking points. Hope some of the things like use of top corner space for tugging away ports, button for muting camera, button for keyboard backlight, etc. become standard in the coming years. Finally, when you are reviewing a laptop like this, one has to talk about the processor. i7 as you know is solid processor and I have a company provided laptop with i7 that I use for job as a developer. This processor felt way better than that and I feel the entire Intel Evo is a great architecture for laptops with the minimum requirements on processors, memory and storage. P.S. I received this laptop as a free sample for review.

Fast, Clean, Beautiful!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this laptop. I take it everywhere and I do everything I need on it. The battery life is god tier. I will go days without charging, stream a few hours and do some homework. I only charge this thing if I'm pulling all nighters. I have settings on max performance and it hasn't died yet. It still finds ways to save your battery and I'm not mad because I'm on the go a lot. I might be asking too much if the 1 second wake up was faster but since my device is mostly unplugged in my back pack I don't see anything wrong with the short nap to save battery. I stopped using my iPad when I got this. The streaming quality is god tier. The display is magical. The pen works very well too. I writes perfectly. I look forward to signing anything!

Excellent Laptop for the Money
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First things first. The display on this laptop is stunning. 4k+ and OLED just blows me away every time I look at it. It even has gorilla glass to help protect against scratches, which no other displays have right now as far as I'm aware. The speakers are quite good too. There are 4 speakers. Two forward/down firing speakers, and 2 upward firing. The sound really does offer close to MacBook quality audio, but just isn't quite there yet. Hopefully next generations will have even better audio. The webcam is great quality at 5 megapixels. Definitely some of the best webcam quality on the market for a laptop. It has a fantastic keyboard, which offers excellent feedback when typing. The layout can take some adjustment since they have some keys on the right side that would otherwise be elsewhere or missing, but this is a minor complaint. I actually prefer the touchpad over the MacBook touchpad. It's smoother and offers better feedback when clicking. Its size is large too, which makes it easier to navigate and perform gestures, all which work very well in Windows 11. As for the performance, you will not find this laptop lacking in any way. With the new 12th gen Core i7, 16GB of RAM, 1TB SSD, and the Intel Arc A370M, this laptop flies. It never misses a beat. It's definitely very powerful and can handle any task you throw at it, besides gaming. This is not a gaming laptop, even though it has a dedicated graphics card. It's a low-end graphics card, but it's still better than integrated graphics. The battery life seems to be decent, but not great. This could be due to the 4k+ OLED screen (which again, is amazing) and the dedicated GPU. The laptop does charge quickly though, with a barrel pin style charger. I do wish it had usb type c charging, but nothing is perfect. The building quality is extremely good. It's about as solid as a MacBook, with just a little more lid flex than a MacBook. The design is subjective, but I really enjoy it. Overall, this is a fantastic laptop, and a great deal when on sale. I was looking at the Lenovo Yoga 9i, but since they weren't on sale and this was, I went with this. I do not regret it. It's probably the best-looking display I've ever seen on a laptop, with excellent speakers, webcam, keyboard, and build quality. You definitely cannot go wrong with this laptop. HP really impressed me.

Hp 16 inch Spectre
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer has an excellent display. Sound is good. Port selection very good. One suggestion is to put a USB-C on each side and not put both USB-C ports on the same side of the unit. Unit is solidly built. Very little screen wobble. Speed is fast enough for most users. Pen is good. For spreadsheet and other programs that require heavy numeric input this pc is a letdown. HP should have offered this with two iterations, one with a numeric keypad and one without. This way they would have satisfied both camps of users. Most manufacturers are moving away from including a numpad which is a big mistake. The 15 inch Spectre model of a couple of years ago included a full size numpad and had one of the best designed keyboards. Moving away from this is going in the wrong direction. Overall still an excellent PC.

Intel Arc Graphics are game changing
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Expensive, i fortunately got this laptop $500 off during the Black Friday special. You get what you pay for, its everything you could ever possibly need in a laptop. Its a EVO as well. If youre using your laptop all day this is what you need. Intels Evo platform offers a range of intel core i5 and i7 processors with the Evo Platform in a variety of different prices. This is top of the line. On the market you will not find better specs ESPECIALLY with the new Intel Arc Graphics. Truly game changing. Even regular use you're looking at between 9-10 hours of battery life. It charges for 4 hours of battery life off a 30-minute charge that is accurate. Might i add the HP Envy x360 is essentially the model right below this one (Also impressive specs) however that one does NOT include the tilt pen, on a full charge 80HRS of battery life. Takes about 45 minutes to fully charge. The laptop has a magnet on the right-hand side that the pen sticks too. It sticks hard enough to not break off accidentally but also not too hard to where its difficult to remove from side of laptop its a grab and go. Truly impressive. Looking forward to my HP Spectre x360 2 in 1 for 2 years or so.

Blow you Away how good this is
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a top of the line laptop and performs like it. It has a 4K OLED screen that will knock your socks off. Great build quality (as it should for the price) 12th gen motor, nice, fast SSD drive, 4 speakers and includes a pen and sleeve for storage. I get about 5-6 hours battery life and I charge only to 80 %. This should be expected as this is a 4K screen that requires more power. Any 4K screen will drain your battery faster. But for me, the trade off for the outstanding screen is worth it. Just plug it in when low, have a nice cold one and boom, amazing screen again. This goes on sale and that is when you need to jump on it. Also note this is not intended by HP to be a heavy duty gamer, so look elsewhere if that is what your looking for. Check it out if you are in the market for a premium laptop. Well worth your time. I buy lots of laptops and do real world reviews and then donate them. This one is amazing when on sale.

Can't find extra 135W adapter or docking station.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Plus: Amazing screen resolution, especially if you don't have 20/20 eyesight ;-) - Fast, as expected for the processor, Nice 2-1 design, love the touch screen even though I don't use it as much as I expected, great keyboard layout. Minus: Much heavier than I expected, should have gone with a 15.6 or smaller with same screen quality, battery life much poorer than advertised! Major issue: Can't find an extra 135W adapter nor a docking station that works with it!!!

Great laptop
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me say I first purchased a MacBook Pro. I returned it for this laptop. I’m happy with this pc. I haven’t tried to convert it to a tablet. It’s pretty fast, though it would probably be faster if I had better internet. It is set up differently than my last pc but it’s also been a few years. Very clear. Easy to get started. Good size. Very happy with my purchase. Camera is excellent.
