The HP Envy i7 intel processor, with 16 MB memory and 512 GB SSD has all the features that I needed and I really like the touch screen. It’s slim design is stylish and it’s easy to carry. I like the fact that it can last up to 9 hours on battery life. That’s a big help being on the go.

I've owned this laptop for a little less than year now, so I've had a lot of experience with it. Pros: -The screen looks awesome, and it gets extremely bright. -The keyboard feels good, and is great for long typing sessions (also backlit, for fellow night owls) - This laptop charges pretty fast. (65W charger included) - Pretty powerful for a laptop - I use it as a portable workstation, and I never experience slowdowns. - Speakers are decent for a laptop (even a hint of bass?) Cons: -Wi-Fi chip is slow to connect to the internet - Cooling is subpar - fans run often (needs more clearance for the fans to blow effectively - a stand would fix this, probably) -Battery life is less than you'd expect Overall a good laptop, especially at the sale price of $800, just be aware the Wi-Fi chip can be slow to connect, and that the cooling isn't spectacular.

I love it for the most part - I had an older Envy laptop model originally that got damaged and it was no longer available to buy, so I got what was closet in specs to it. It runs fast, the touch screen is nice, and it works really well! My only complaint is that there is no keypad, the older version had it but they’ve removed it from almost all of their new ones. I know this isn’t a deal breaker for most, which is why I didn’t let it affect my review, but I would’ve loved the laptop 10x more if it had a keypad, or if there had been one with comparable specs at the time with one. The keyboard lights up though which is nice!

I got this on sale and feel I got a lot of bang for my money. The system drive size is sufficient (I use an external drive for storing large files). I use this for mobile music production and general office stuff. Works great for both. The screen size is perfect and the resolution and brightness are very good. I do wish it had an additional USB-C port since the power connection is via USB-C, but not a really big issue. Probably like most laptops the battery life could be better, but it's not terrible. The keys feel great and the touchpad is very responsive. I like the touchscreen feature although I don't use it a lot. Overall, a great laptop.

After researching several laptop/notebook options on line and the seeing them in the store, I, a fan of HP products, made this choice of 3, which was the best in terms of the transport-ability, speed, ease of use from using a desktop and mouse to a laptop; this is a great transition for portability and of power, with a clean look and feel, crystal clear screen viewing and back lit keyboard, off and on camera options and a variety of other features. The touch screen is another great feature making this a very versatile computer for all kinds of work and uses.

Bought this to replace a 7+ year old Dell laptop that just couldn’t keep up anymore. Got a great deal on it as it was in “open box” condition. Lightweight and ergonomical. Fast processor. Decent battery life. Only complaints are no number pad and it’s not a backlit keyboard. Otherwise it’s great.

I really like but do not love this computer. It serves my needs as a therapist and an Etsy store owner. I am on the computer ALL day and this computer has served all of my needs. I have two complaints - but in the big picture they are NOT a problem. First, it doesn't hold a charge for more than 3-4 hours (if being used). It holds a charge longer if just sitting, but if you are using it - it only last a few hours. The other problem is the camera - while it was touted by the sales person as wonderful - I have not found that to be so. I use a Microsoft external camera, that I already had, and am happy with that.

I love this laptop so much. It’s big, so I only use it at home. Works better for me because I don’t want to damage it. It’s touch screen, which is just a fabulous bonus. I definitely recommend this laptop. HP is my favorite laptop brand. I will always stick with this brand.

I'm a long time fan of HP computers and laptop so when it was time for a new laptop I knew what I wanted. It was the Geek tech associate that pointed me to HP Envy and explained the difference between each HP laptop. I picked HP Envy because it had all the features I need and the touch screen sold it. I am very happy with my purchase and I did purchase the Best Buy protection which covered not only my laptop but all future electronics from Best Buy.

This is a good laptop. It does everything i need it to and the only complaint I have is that the battery life does not last long. I'll say after a few hours it need to be plugged. It could be from all i have running as i have applications running, but ive had the same with other laptops and the battery life is longer. Other than that, its good.

Such a beautiful screen! Nice TB4 ports. Great to see other port additions so I have no need to buy a hub or dock . However —— battery life is terrible . Web browsing on chrome garners about 6 hours worth (on low light screen). If you play anything low graphics (Minecraft / Roblox / the like) , 20% drains every 20-30 minutes. If battery life is not a deal break for you, I suggest the laptop. But battery life may be a deal breaker for me (used to Microsoft Surfaces having 10+ hours of battery life with screen medium bright with Chrome as the browser).

Perfect for my music recording studio

I bought this primarily for using in my studio with my recording and mixing software. If you're not familiar with music recording and editing software, it can be very resource intensive on the processor and components so I was a little apprehensive about a laptop being able to run such a heavy load but to my surprise it surpassed my expectations. It's able to handle the load of running my music recording and editing software better than my current PC. What makes this versatile for me also is that I am able to use my 32-in high definition desktop screen plugged with the HDMI cable in without any problem. The only downside for me is that the keyboard isn't backlit. I would recommend this, it is a good work horse.
